13. 너희 중에 지혜와 총명이 있는 자가 누구냐 그는 선행으로 말미암아 지혜의 온유함으로 그 행함을 보일지니라

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

14. 그러나 너희 마음 속에 독한 시기와 다툼이 있으면 자랑하지 말라 진리를 거슬러 거짓말하지 말라

But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

15. 이러한 지혜는 위로부터 내려온 것이 아니요 땅 위의 것이요 정욕의 것이요 귀신의 것이니

Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

16. 시기와 다툼이 있는 곳에는 혼란과 모든 악한 일이 있음이라

For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17. 오직 위로부터 난 지혜는 첫째 성결하고 다음에 화평하고 관용하고 양순하며 긍휼과 선한 열매가 가득하고 편견과 거짓이 없나니

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.

18. 화평하게 하는 자들은 화평으로 심어 의의 열매를 거두느니라

Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

3 이 예언의 말씀을 읽는 자와 듣는 자와 그 가운데에 기록한 것을 지키는 자는 복이 있나니 때가 가까움이라

3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

올해의 말씀. 처음 말씀카드를 딱 뽑았을 때 앞의 말씀은 쓱 지나가고, “때가 가까움이라”라는 말만 탁 꽂혔다.

우리 주님이 진짜 올 해는 나 시집 보내주시려나보다^^

내일 소개팅을 한다. 사실 외모도 내 취향이 아니고, 직업도 가정환경도 다 그냥 그렇다. 그렇지만 하나님은 어떻게 말씀하실지 모르니 좀 더 열린 마음으로 나가야겠다. 부디 나의 짝이라면 모든 상황을 열어주시고, 특히 나의 마음을 열어주시는 경험을 할 수 있으면 좋겠다.

오늘 현주언니에게 급 연락이 왔다. 부케를 받아달라고... 갑자기 뭔가 좋은 기운이라는게 몰려오는 것만 같은 기분도 든다. 그렇지만 기분만이 아니라 말씀가운데, 나의 삶의 중심과 우선 순위에 하나님과 교제하며 잘 분별해나가길 기도해본다.

10. 특별히 육체를 따라 더러운 정욕 가운데서 행하며 주관하는 이를 멸시하는 자들에게는 형벌할 줄 아시느니라 이들은 당돌하고 자긍하며 떨지 않고 영광 있는 자들을 비방하거니와

This is especially true of those who follow the corrupt desire of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and arrogant, they are not afraid to heap abuse on celestial beings;

11. 더 큰 힘과 능력을 가진 천사들도 주 앞에서 그들을 거슬러 비방하는 고발을 하지 아니하느니라

yet even angels, although they are stronger and more powerful, do not heap abuse on such beings when bringing judgment on them from the Lord.

12. 그러나 이 사람들은 본래 잡혀 죽기 위하여 난 이성 없는 짐승 같아서 그 알지 못하는 것을 비방하고 그들의 멸망 가운데서 멸망을 당하며

But these people blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like animals they too will perish.

13. 불의의 값으로 불의를 당하며 낮에 즐기고 노는 것을 기쁘게 여기는 자들이니 점과 흠이라 너희와 함께 연회할 때에 그들의 속임수로 즐기고 놀며

They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. Their idea of pleasure is to carouse in broad daylight. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.

14. 음심이 가득한 눈을 가지고 범죄하기를 그치지 아니하고 굳세지 못한 영혼들을 유혹하며 탐욕에 연단된 마음을 가진 자들이니 저주의 자식이라

With eyes full of adultery, they never stop sinning; they seduce the unstable; they are experts in greed—an accursed brood!
