I’d love a New Years Eve with Lee Know where we don’t have to go to a party or hang out with lots of people, it can be just us and the cats chilling out. Just being cuddled up on the couch, hands brushing through my hair and on my back, pulling me closer under the fluffy blanket we have as we see New Years broadcasts on the tv. And maybe he’d whisper something soft to me as I’m about to fall asleep, “I’ve gotchu baby, you can sleep now”, before carrying me to our bed for more warm cuddles and sleeping in late 💕

"Do you have a resolution?" your boyfriend asks, eyes fixed on the fireworks display. You were watching from the TV this year, curled up under a blanket on the couch as the new year began.

"I haven't thought about it," you reply. It wasn't entirely true. You hadn't considered them new years resolutions exactly, but you'd had plenty of thoughts about what you'd like to improve about yourself. "Do you?" you ask, lifting your head from his shoulder to take in his side profile. You lift your hand from under the warm blanket to brush a little hair from his eyes.

He keeps his focus on the TV as he answers. "Be more grateful."

"That's a good one."

He turns to look at you, lips curving into a slight smile. "Is it?"

"Mm, I think it's healthy to reflect on the things you're happy for sometimes. It's easy to get distracted by everything else."

His eyes flick across your face and you recognise the mischief in his eyes the second before he speaks. "What are you most grateful for?" he asks, pulling you tighter against him. It's clear the answer he's looking for.

"The cats," you respond. Wrong answer. He pushes out his bottom lip. "And you," you amend. "A very close second."

He attempts to hold back a smile, mouth pressing together as he looks away from you again. You press a soft kiss to his warm cheek then whisper against his skin. "I really am, so grateful for you."

He turns his head, lips ghosting over yours. "How grateful?" he whispers.

and yeah!! it happened and the worst part was gettin the iv in (it took a solid three minutes bc i have the smallest veins on earth lmao), and i wasn't even awake for the whole thing! the anesthesia kicked in pretty quick lol

i'll most likely point the direction towards y/n allowing them to know. because we all know just how vulnerable she is, and people finding out the truth themselves won't end well with her. i want her past and secrets to be something she reveals herself, with her own volition, because then the reveal will be more meaningful. i can most definitely do a path where they find out themselves and confront her about everything but in a world where y/n feels as if she has no control over her life (her birth, her parents, the person she married, growing up into the villain that she is, her enemies), i want her to have control over this piece of her. only until the boys earn her trust will she allow them to know. only until she feels it's alright. the reveal will also involve the reapers coming to understand her past as well, because even though they know/speculate some bits of it, there's so much more they don't know since y/n has only ever spoken small vague pieces of her memories to them. the reapers don't even know just how much mister butler meant to her, only that he was the first person who loved her in this life

yuuji would definitely be liking the weirdest food combos. nobara n megumi would already be like man what but they kinda dismiss it bc they think he's only doing it to get a reaction out of them. but no! this guy is genuinely content with whatever monstrosity he decided to create and probably offers them some (which they say no to obviously)

but then at the same time I remembered that yuuji is actually good at cooking (I think, cause of the meatball recipe), so idk if this is contradictory or not..

honestly he just seems like a guy that likes everything anyways, so weird food combos are very in character for him.

she presses a very soft kiss to his cheek, squeezing his hand.

Her words and actions make him fall silent. Instead of replying right away, he hooks an arm under her waist and pulls her into his embrace, then whispers:

I apologize if I am not particularly warm. Should you change your mind and want the blankets, voice it right away.

Any cold that he might have been feeling dissipates at her closeness, now replaced by a worry that he might not be helping with her trembles. After all, he's part of the reason for the low temperatures in the first place.

He hesitates, but finally decides to return the kiss, kissing her temple.

Good night. Sleep well.

His arm still under her, making sure not to touch her, he falls silent. He doesn't want to ruin the moment by doing or saying anything else, not when she needs to rest.
