Caregiver!Barnaby Headcanons

(NOTE: first time making one of these posts! might be a bit rough, bear with me.)

Definitely spoils you with sweet treats and candy, let's be real. He probably doesn't even remember tooth decay exist until you complain about it one day.

Even if you don't like sweets, he'll still give you whatever you want. He's got the power of cartoon logic, after all!

He's definitely had the Barnaboo's babysit you or just be your playdate buddies while he's out.

They might be the only reason you're not dead yet, honestly. If anyone can recognize something dangerous or poison, it's the already dead people.

That, or he can't bring himself to hurt you in the slightest since.. y'know. (Motions sadly to the fact he may or may not have been a father when alive)

Hugs are so soft and nice!! He puffs his feathers out on purpose and snuggles you if you ask for it, or might even do it to surprise you (if you're comfortable with surprise touches. If not, he'll wait).

If you stim, he'll gladly do it with you. Especially if you happen to pick up his own, like wing flapping or hooting!

If you somehow find a way to wear that Barnaby onesie that's been floating around in some Ash artwork, he would CRY. In a good way.

Will gladly do some little activities with you, as he's got his own form of childish nature. Like coloring, for example!

Absolutely the type to playfully have a conversation with you, even if you're in a baby talk mode. "Oh-hoo-hoo! Is that so, my little friend? :}"

Nicknames include stuff like "Sweetie", very dramatic "My Baby!"s, "Sweettart", etc.

For the popular Barntoccio shippers: No, he wouldn't trust Fantoccio with you. I don't think Fantoccio would actually enjoy children unless they took an interest in him or theatre. Sorry to tell you.. (but he'll definitely still take you along to see him.. >:3)
