@mozaikrolezâ (Gaito!)
âHey Gaito! Wassup man?â He runs up to his friend, the Sun Fighterâs warmth and cheer never seeming to dimmer even in the toughest of circumstances. The fate of the whole world once again seemed to rest on Gaoâs shoulders, and while he was no doubt nervous, staying positive was his signature play for getting through it. Another signature play was making sure to be surrounded by his friends, and Gaito was one he sure wanted to have by his side.Â
âSay, Tasuku is staying over at my place tonight so we can train more for the WBC finals. You want in? My momâs gonna make some wicked food too!â

âlisten â the moon is cominâ up and i ainât got forever.â the half demon barked. âcome at me with all yew got or donâ come at all!â words were harsh but inuyasha sported a grin nonetheless.
Ever since the sun rose on that morning, Gao has been giving it his all during his training with the other half-demon. The fact he had the chance to train under him was still something the part flame dragon could not believe. After all, his sensei was the legendary warrior who helped beat Naraku, bested his older brother Lord Sesshomaru in combat, and got rid of the Shikon Jewel forever. He was the best there was, and a definite hero in Gaoâs eyes.
However, that didnât mean Inu Sensei went easy on the boy. Oh no, he went hard. The session today was particularly tough on Gao, and he could feel his energy start to slip with barley any time to recover. The little guy is almost waiting for the sun to go down so he can finally get a break, his movements becoming sloppy as if he was barley even trying. Like any good teacher, however, this was noticed by Inuyasha who then promptly called Gao out for it. And that seemed to be just the fire he needed to finish the training day off strong.
Gao took a few moments to breathe in, golden hues shifting towards the setting sun in the distance. He only had about a minute or two left before his demonic features would fade and he would be nothing more than a mortal. It was now or never. With a scream, the boy charges forward full speed towards the other with flames igniting around his Steel Fist Dragoknuckle weapon on his right hand. He knows his fire abilities wouldnât damage the other due to his Robe Of The Fire Rat, which is why he decided to aim for the one area his robe did not cover with this last one. He shouldnât hold back like his teacher said, right?
âYou asked for this, Inu Sensei!â Gao roars back, winding up his punch before hurling the flaming metal-covered fist right towards the otherâs face. He specifically aimed for the cheek, intending to get a huge hit that would send him flying towards the trees that surrounded them. And if that one punch was blocked, Gao always had his other hand and other options ready to go. Being up close and personal was what he specialized in combat wise, after all.Â

đ action figures of his buddies ( for gao )
âHuh? Whatâs this, Suna? Itâs not my birthday or anything.â The boy replies confused, and yet takes the gift from her anyway. Receiving something from a friend wasnât too out of the ordinary, but he canât recall the last time Setsunaâs given him a gift. Well, there was the one time he gifted him that amazing jacket, but that was so long ago and still getting something from the Katana World fighter was rare.Â
Without delay, Gao digs into the wrapping and it flies all over the place. He canât help it! Heâs just so eager to see what exactly his big sis got him! Sunshine gold hues then widen in delight, seeing the figures of Drum, Bal, and Battz all together. Gao had collected figures of famous buddy monsters like Jackknife Dragon before, but to have figures of all his buddies? That was the best thing he could ask for!
âWow, Suna! These are awesome! I didnât even know my buddies had figures!â The idea of them being custom made slips his mind, the young boy way too overjoyed at the gift to think about that kind of stuff. âThanks so much! Iâll be sure to display these in my new bedroom in America next to a photo my mom took of me and my pals together! Itâs gonna be so sweet!â

arms were wrapped around the other ; a hold as gentle as it was firm , with all the familiarity she could express in it . this time not an accident as it once was.. even though she wouldn't have done it in the past under different circumstances . but the situation required it , didn't it? after all , she was not sure when she would ever see him again.. even though she was sure they were meant to cross paths again in the future . perhaps , that was the reason why she was not as melancholic as she should be .
setsuna removed her arms from him , releasing him from her hold completely as she stepped away to face him correctly . offering a gentle smile . it was not a goodbye , was it? it was a " see you later "..
â Â Â have a safe trip , gao . Â Â â
( for gao c: )
Saying goodbye was always not easy, especially for someone like Gao who valued his personal bonds deeply. That was why he wanted to make his last few days in Cho-Tokyo special, something he would always remember that also made having to leave everyone behind ever so easier. The GGG Cup was the answer to his wishes, and it truly had become an event heâd never forget. Though, that didnât mean he still wouldnât have to say goodbye in the end.Â
His sunshine hues widen though as she hugs him. Truly, Gao knew Setsuna wasnât the most physically affectionate person in the world, and the only other time they hugged was nothing short less than awkward. However, he can feel the genuineness of her action, memories of their times spent together flooding back into the Buddyfighterâs mind. Â
She truly had been there for him, in subtle ways and not so subtle but still. Setsuna had been his guide when he was trying to take Tasukuâs spot after he left for Dragon World, and without her, he isnât sure he and Drum would have made it past the basics. His tears seem to dry up as she pulls back from him, Gao giving her his typical smile since he did not want his last interaction with her to be a sad one. He wanted to remember her and everyone else being happy, memories he would sear into his heart now and forever.
âThanks, Suna. Donât ya worry though, Iâll be back here before you know it for a visit! I know Iâll def want a sparing match with ya, as well as a Buddyfight!â He exclaims before moving to go say goodbye to Moroha and Towa, but stops as he turns his head to say one more thing. âOne last thing? Take care of everyone for me, especially my best friend, okay Big Sis?â

âcome on! dance with me! " ( for gao )
To be honest, Gao had no interest in attending the school dance. Formal events like that were certainly not his thing. Maybe if they had some Buddyfighting action in the middle of it he would have considered it, but nothing about it seemed to appeal to him. The only reason he went was because his mom made him go, something about him not wanting to miss out on once in a lifetime opportunities like these.
Once he got there, he pretty much just intended to hang around the snack table and watch everyone else dance and stuff until the party was over. If he was lucky, he might get to have a talk with Tasuku or some of his other friends when they took a break from everything. However, his plans for just letting the night play out how he wanted it were quickly uprooted when the commentator shows up, her request causing his eyes to widen a small blush to grace his cheeks out of embarrassment for the notion.
âM-Me, dance?! N-No way! I donât even know how to, Paruko! Besides, canât you dance by yourself? Plenty of people are dancing solo tonight!â He exclaims, not realizing how rude that just was. Gao really had no experience or knowledge when it came to romance and things like that, something he probably would no doubt learn when he got older and more mature.

" how are you so happy all the time? " ( for gao )
âEh? Thatâs a random question to ask Suna...â Gao replies just before sticking another one of his grandmotherâs famous octopus dumplings into his mouth. Being apart of the Buddy Police as a trainee meant he spent more and more time with Setsuna then he did before, the two always seeming to each lunch together more often than not. His family even started to pack a bit more in Gaoâs so he could share some with her too. It was the Mikadoâs way of thanking her for helping him with this whole thing.
âTo be honest, I just sorta...am. I guess want to enjoy every second I have, causeâ wasting time being down in the dumps just...isnât my thing! But...just know Suna, Iâm not always happy. I feel plenty of other stuff too! Itâs like how I know youâre not always so serious all the time like otherâs say you are, even if you donât show it all the time!âÂ
Though, he did wish sheâd lighten up just a bit around him. They had known each other since they were little, even if he spent more time around Moroha than anyone else. He wanted her to know she could feel comfortable around him, which is probably why he always showed her such warmth and kindness even if she didnât show it back in the traditional sense.Â

@duelcafeââ Sent: Some * Character Headcanons (Accepting!)
⥠Concept of home and family
To Tasuku, home is not a location. It certainly isnât the apartment he really only goes back to in order to eat and sleep. To him, home is where those he cherishes are. The Buddy Police is an example of one of his homes, a place filled with people who loves and cares for such as Takihara, Stella, Commander I, and Setsuna ( @senpujinââ ).Â
As for family, family to Tasuku means more than just blood relation. Family are people Tasuku has bonded with the strongest, whether that bond is platonic, romantic, or familial in nature. The first person other than his blood family he considered as part of it (and the only member of his âfamily; for a long time) was Jack. However, over time his family has slowly grown (Mainly after Season 1 and Tasuku saw first hand just how many people cared for and cherished him even after his mistakes)Â to include others such as his Gao Mikado, Setsuna Taisho, his Buddy Police Family, and all his friends at Aibo Academy.Â
Talk about your museâs most prized possession(s)
Suzuha, being a rich heiress to a large financial empire, has quite a lot of possessions. Though, if I was to list the most prized things she has, it would have to be two main things. The first is her fan, an item that was passed down to her by her late mother who passed away when she was very young. Suzuha admired her mother and continues to strive to live up to her legacy, her being a huge part why the Amanosuzu Group is as famous and successful as it is. She was also the one who taught her the proper ways to be a lady, and after attending her first successful business party, Suzuha was gifted her motherâs fan. She continues to use it, even into adulthood.Â
As for the second thing, it would definitely be the people in her life and the experiences sheâs had because of them. She wasnât the most social child when she was younger, her really only having her butler, Mary Sue, and maids to talk to. This does start to change after her loss to Gao Mikado, Suzuha starting to interact with and become friends with his friends. It was through that fight and Gaoâs friendly smile that got her to start to socialize a bit more, and if it wasnât for that, I donât think she would have been able to bond with her eventual future BFF for life Setsuna as much as she did.Â
Every memory, every person in her life, all of them are treasures to Suzuha, worth more than any of her material wealth.
How your muse responds to angerÂ
Gao responses to anger can change depending on the context and who is showing him anger, but what is consistent is that he isnât one to back down. He is a stubborn, headstrong, and determined individual, after all. If he is getting anger from a friend, he will usually try his best to try and calm things down. He isnât afraid to speak his mind back if that doesnât work though, even if no doubt otherâs words can hurt him. A good example of this is when he talks to Tasuku as Purgatory Knight, where Gao tries to get Tasuku to see what heâs doing is wrong because seeing his best friend be like that hurts him. However, he continues on fighting and never stops, even if again it can be hard too.Â
If itâs anger from an enemy, he tries to not pay it any mind. Though, again it honestly depends on who it is. Gao has had to fight a lot of enemies that he thought were friends, or friends who had become enemies. It makes things complicated, not to mention Gaoâs own temper and righteous anger being a factor.Â
If someone is mad at him because he honestly did something wrong though, Gao will take it without complaint. He is a good hearted kid and doesnât like to hurt or do anything bad to others, and he takes his screws up pretty hard. This can be seen when he goes a little too hard in that Aikijujitsu competition flashback as seen in Episode 6 of Season 1, and he feels so bad for it. He takes his motherâs anger full on without trying to fight back or argue, as he knows he did bad by using that dangerous technique.Â

âYup!â The face of the Scourging Swallow beings a smile to the Sun Fighterâs face though, not having seen her since her wedding day all those months ago. He had come to the headquarters of the Buddy Police to see her husband, wanting to check on Yugaâs progress and see how the city had been in his absence, but all of that could wait. Wait till heâs gotten a chance to catch up and hug his big sis Suna, that is.
âMan, Iâve sure missed ya, Suna!â He says after pulling her into his arms, giving her the biggest and tightest hug he could muster to show just how much he missed the woman. Iâll see to that myself!â
â Â Â donât you think it difficult? being away from home & not seeing your family for a long time.. your sons.. â Â ( for gao ; ace )

I do always make sure to do my best to make up the time we do miss, and make sure to check in on umâ and send them things on occasion. âIâd be lying if I said they didnât cross my mind a few times, especially after the conversations we have had regarding children. âG-Geez, S-Suna! Y-You canât just-â Time is ticking Gao! You gotta say a name! âUh...Uh...B-B-Bal!!âÂ
He truly loved all of his buddies, truly. However, maybe its the fact he essentially raised Bal from birth is why his name came out first. That, or maybe itâs the fact itâs the shortest name and he doesnât like reacting under pressure. Who is to say?
â if you could save only one from drowning- who would it be? sebastian , sadako or mitsuko? â ( for suzuha )
âHonestly, Iâm appalled youâd even ask me such a thing, Setsuna. How very un-ladylike of you...â Suzuha replies, before taking a breath and preparing to answer. She did agree to this little truth game and the heiress was a woman of her word, after all.
âIf I had to save one, probably be Sebastian. The twins no doubt would help each other save themselves first, leaving me to help him out. Though, I doubt such a situation would ever occur. Everyone in my staff are excellent swimmers.â
â did you ever think me unreliable? â Â ( for tasuku )
âNever have I thought that, and Iâll keep saying it until you believe me.â He places a hand on his girlfriendâs shoulders, squeezing it gently to let her know he was serious but there for her all at the same time.Â
âBack then, I...I didnât want you or anyone else I cared for to get involved on what I thought was my duty and my duty alone. Yes, I was tricked into believing the Buddy Police were no longer my comrades by Kyoya Gaen, but...I was never tricked into thinking you were never not my comrade. @ballesoleilââ Sent: â if bal has to leave one day, bal.. bal wants gao to know that bal wishes to always fight alongside gao, bal. â opens arms to the air & exclaims with a wide tender smile ; â forever, bal ! â ( for gao ;)
Bal always had a way of surprising Gao when he least expected it, a true strength of the little guy that had come in handy in plenty of scenarios. Though, the topic he brings up was a reality he knew one day he would have to face. Bal wasnât an ordinary dragon, in more ways than one. He was also Ballesoleil, meaning he one day would have to leave his buddyâs side side to go fight his eternal rival once again. It was inevitable, no matter how much the idea of the little guy leaving hurt the Buddyfighter.Â
âBal...â However, the sentimental words spoken from the sun dragonâs mouth that seem to put him at ease, grabbing the little guy and hugging him tightly. Losing Drum was hard enough on Gao, but he could always see him in Dragon World if he wanted. Losing Bal meant...meant heâd be gone forever with no way for him to come back. Thatâs why Balâs words hit him so hard, so hard where you can see small tears form in the eyes of the Mighty Sun Fighter.
âThatâs...Thatâs all I want too, Bal. I want to enjoy the time we have together, for however long it lasts.â Despite knowing their time could end in an instant, the ever positive Gao Mikado chooses to look on the bright side. He really was like the sun, a trait him and his buddy would always share. âJust know this, Bal. No matter what happens in the future, youâll always be my buddy. Please donât forget that, okay pal!?â

âTrust me Setsuna, Iâm not happy about it either. None of us are.â His tone is serious despite his gentle touch on her shoulder, trying to give her support just like any good friend would do. The whole Purgatory Knight thing was putting everyone on edge, and considering how much Setsuna had missed when she and her team were overseas for the last few weeks, Gao could understand how she was struggling to process it all.Â
However, remaining negative was not going to help anyone. If they were going to help Tasuku get back to his senses and do well in the Gaen Cup, everyone needed to try and stay positive. Tetsuya had reminded them of that with his semi-final fight, dancing with all his heart just to show his teammates what they should have been doing. Following his example, Gao was now trying to help Setsuna stay positive despite the understandably hard situation. Â
âI donât want to have to fight him like this, but I know that having a good Buddyfight with him is the only way to get him back to normal.â It is what worked with Kiri when he was under the mask of the Grimm Reaper, after all. âSo, please. Please put your faith in me. I know whatâs at stake., Setuna. But I promise you that Iâll fight with all my strength, and show Tasuku it doesnât have to be like this! âMan, youâre really as strong as the legends, Inu Sensei...and while youâve been kicking my butt for the last few hours, itâs been a blast!â Gaoâs rush of excitement when training with Inu Sensei never seeming to drop despite how tired he was getting from so much time spent fighting. His endurance, which normally as pretty good, was definitely being tested as he couldnât seem to make a scratch on the other. Gao had not been holding back either, for it was dishonorable to hold back in a fight against a worthy opponent. It really made him see the difference in their power levels.
Was this how Moroha always felt when sparing with her dad? Was that why she always would tell Gao how satisfying but frustrating it could be? And that all of it just made her want to work harder? The flame dragon was definitely feeling those same emotions. Despite his failures, he wanted to keep going. He wanted to make Inu Sensei proud, to make his family proud, to make...Yota proud. Giving up wasnât an option. Not now, not ever!
His usual tactics seemed to not really be working on the other. Inu Senseiâs Robe Of The Fire Rat, while was a way to allow Gao to practice his fire abilities safely, was not really letting the kid see the impact of those abilities. So, maybe it was time for a different approach, utilize his own strengths while trying to make an advantage out of his opponentâs weakness. And for as strong as his teacher was, his fighting style wasnât without faults.
Gao had taken notice that he usually always relied on the legendary sword he wielded, only using his claws if needed or in close range scenarios. Morohaâs fighting style was very much the same, except she also had her spiritual powers as an option too. She oftened struggle to beat Gao on a pure hand to hand basis, as he had put more time into that. Not to mention, his ability to fly definitely made things more tricky. Maybe he should start using those?
âYou want my all, huh? Well, try this on for size, Inu Sensei!â He soars into the air, readying his two arms equipped with his duel Steel Fist Dracoknuckles as he prepares to strike. Instead of going straight for him head on, like Gao had been doing, he decides to zoom around the other in an attempt for him to lose focus. While not as fast a flier as his cousin Tasuku, the half-demonâs speed in the air was nothing to scoff at. And when he sees the right moment, his steel weapons blaze with the flames of his demonic aura as he moves to go in for a flurry of punches directed at the otherâs back.
âTake this! And this! And this!â

@fragmentedimensionsâ Sent: đ«for four headcanons I have about our museâs relationship! (Accepting!)
đ«for gao and tasuku!
Tasuku has always been someone Gao has looked up to. Even before they met, he admired his strong Buddyfighting skills from what he had seen on TV and heard around the school. Thatâs no doubt why he felt so honored that Tasuku was the one to deliver his Core Deck Case, accept his Buddyfight challenge, and become his first friend he ever made through the game. Tasuku inspires Gao to get better and stronger at the game, just as any good and friendly rival should. That fact about them doesnât change as they age, Iâd imagine.
When Tasuku turned into the Purgatory Knight, it hit Gao pretty hard. Tasuku was the last person he had ever expected to join the bad guys, knowing full well just what he stood for and how Disaster was never going to be the the answer. Heâs seen first hand how they trick people and prayed on their weaknesses, mainly with Kiri. That is why he never held back talking to him, or in his fight against him. He wanted to save his friend more than anything, and there was no doubt relief when Jack was finally able to break through with his and Kiriâs help. Despite the hurt though, Gao quickly forgives Tasuku since he knows that wasnât really him and he was just being manipulated, blaming more Kyoya and Disaster than Tasuku himself since heâs very empathetic.
Gao owes Tasuku for a lot of things. If he never met him, then he wouldnât be the person he is now. In a way, Tasuku was sort of Gaoâs own Mighty Sun Fighter, a similar figure to Yota when he was still in Gaoâs life. He was always there to guide Gao, inspire him, help him when he needed it most, and support him always even when things looked dark. Tasuku truly has had an impacting effect on Gaoâs life, and to him, he considers him as apart of the family and someone Yota no doubt would have loved.
Out of any of his friends that are not his buddies, Gao feels the most comfortable opening up to Tausuku about his emotional struggles. This is because of not only how much he trusts Tasuku and feels a strong familial bond with him (similar again to how he felt about Yota), but also because of how much the two are alike. Gao feels like Tasuku can understand what he is going through, and help him get passed it. If Tasuku ever needed it in return, you know Gao would be there in a heartbeat. Heâs always there for his pals, especially Tasuku who is no doubt the closest friend of his that isnât his buddies or his family.Â

âIâll get it, Mom!â The Sun Fighter calls as she springs from his position in the living room, dashing with some pep in his step towards the front door of the Mikado household. It had been a relatively quiet evening for Gao. The boy was taking this time to relax and ready himself, since and Bal were to head for Cho-Taiyo Island to compete for a chance to qualify for the World Buddy Cup the next morning. Though, the quiet house would soon light up with energy and noise as he opened to door to reveal Setsuna had come for a visit, with a pizza no less!
âSetsuna, what a surprise!â It really was considering it was rare he interacted with Setsuna by her lonesome, not seeing any signs of her twin sister, cousin, or her new boyfriend Tasuku anywhere either. Though, Gao sure wasnât complaining! It was getting a bit too quiet for his tastes, anyway. He had rested enough for the tournament in his opinion. Stepping to the side, he gives her an opening so she can take off her shoes before entering the household proper.Â
âOf course, you can come in! Youâre always welcome at my place! I just hope my buddy wonât devour all that pizza you brought. He already ate several earlier! I love the little guy, but he should really learn how to share when it comes to pizza. Then again, Drum was like that too when it came to pudding. Must be a dragon thing, I guess.â
