3rd Day of Selfshipmas: Favorite Winter Activity with Giyuu and Romy!

The snow had soaked through Giyuu's gloves, but his hands were warm where he had stuffed them in his partner's pockets.

Romy let out a small hum as they felt him lean into them, eyes focused on the small snow-cat seen through the lense of their camera.

"It's cute," he murmured.

"Yup," Romy said, smiling. "This was fun. I don't think I've made something out of snow since I was a kid." They flipped the camera over, so it faced them.

Giyuu's smile was small, but soft and contented as his lover snapped the picture, matching their own bright, toothy grin.

kitkat – how important is alone time/time apart in your relationship?

We are both fairly introverted, so tbh half of our time together is like doing different things in silence in the same room...though I think he does value alone time (esp to process his emotions) a little more than me, so I make sure to give him space when he needs it

(Date night and it's us doing a 500 piece puzzle without talking before going to our room to snuggle and sleep)

Vampire Giyuu, whose family was slayed by hunters, is looking for revenge.

He comes up with the plan to kidnap a weaker member of the hunter clan who killed his family, in order to draw the rest into a trap.

Unfortunately, the member he decides to kidnap is ✨️me✨️ and instead of someone the clan is in a panic to rescue, he got the distant disgraced monsterfucker cousin of the main hunters 🫡

Cue me flirting with the cute emo vampire who is being surprisingly nice to me despite the kidnapping, and giyuu losing his mind bc he doesn't know what to do now that the pretty person with delicious smelling blood is asking him to bite them

Arranged marriage AU with Choso!

I'm imaging choso as the new king (after participating in overthrowing his uncle the evil king sukuna); in order to receive the support of the neighboring country, he made a marriage deal.

So after all the dust settles, I'm the one who gets shipped off to a husband I have never met, in a country I have only known as a threat to mine.

I imagine choso is doing his very best to make me feel comfortable; and even with how terrified I am at all this I can't help but be enamored by this imposing man who is so kind to me.

(At first, he was planning to be quite distant with me; it would be a marriage in name only. But once we met, he changed his mind; so now he's trying to do his best to woo me even tho we're already married. The sheer dichotemy of vicious ruthless wartime choso covered in blood vs peacetime choso pining after his little nervous creature of a wife with his big wet cat eyes)

Giyuu and I wouldn't plan on having kids, but I think if we came across any kids who needed a family (especially if they were a set of siblings....) we would take them in and take care of them

wine ౨ৎ how did your first date go?

My first official date with Mitsuya was really sweet <3 We had been close friends for years, but our first 'real' date after we got together was a festival date! We had gone to festivals before as friends, but it was much more wonderful once we finally admitted our feelings (we finally got to kiss under the fireworks! it was all very romantic <3)

love letter ౨ৎ what are your love languages? and how do the two of you execute them?

I think Choso's primary love language is acts of service; he jumps at the chance to take care of those he loves; he likes to cook, take care of errands, etc. Mine is quality time! Even if we're not doing anything other than existing together, I love being with him. It works out pretty well (best times are us cooking together/him cooking while I sit in the kitchen with him hehehe).

wedding cake ౨ৎ what was your wedding like?

Giyuu and I had a very low-key fall wedding; just a few of our closest friends and family! We were very close to eloping, but in the end we wanted to make the effort to include and celebrate with those we cared for. The wedding was outdoors, and the ceremony was pretty traditional, but not too uptight <3

📖 - what is your s/i's backstory? how does it make them meet your f/o(s)?

In this version, KNY!Romy is a failed demon slayer (kind of similar to senjuro; my physicality wasn't right for it). So I end up becoming a kakushi instead! I ran across giyuu several times and I kind of grow a soft spot for him and I start leaving him his favorite foods for him bc I don't know how to start a conversation. Eventually I get confronted and we kind of bond through both being socially awkward, and our feelings kind of grow from there

Ranking my blorbos on how well they do at Family Thanksgiving

Kento. He is such a gentleman. He knows enough about food and cooking to help in the kitchen, and makes sure the meal prep goes smoothly. Years of being at a job he hates has also given him the ability to keep his mouth shut and ignore various family members saying weird bullshit, but he has enough tact to step up and deflect when things go too far. Would be my mother's favorite of all my blorbos.

Kakashi. I feel like every family member I care for would be endeared by him. He gets doted on by my older cousins. Gets the extra groceries we need before we even run out. Great with the kids. He has been in so many situations more stressful than this he can navigate it with relative ease. One of the best at calming me down when I get too anxious or mad. Throughout the whole dinner no one except me saw him pull his mask down to eat. (He made sure I saw him so he could blow me a kiss).

Rumi. Every child in my family thinks she is amazing. The house is 100% more peaceful during meal prep because she takes them all outside to show them some pro hero moves. Loud enough to speak over everyone when she wants to. Makes sure I get all the food I want before the vultures descend.

Satoru. He seems almost in his element in the chaos of Thanksgiving. Manages to be one of the loudest in the room, which is quite impressive. Tells a bunch of wild stories to the kids, and brings them a bunch of candy, "But you can only have some if you eat all your vegetables!" Breaks his own rule immediately by having some candy while waiting for food. Annoys my mother but my dad and uncles think he is hilarious. My mom comes around when she sees him calming me down in private.

Shigure. I feel like he is a solid middle of the road. Everyone either hates him or loves him. Doesn't really help with anything, but isn't a huge hindrance to anyone other than me because he keeps bothering me when I'm trying to cook by draping himself over me constantly (he's very clingy once the curse is broken).

Choso. Such a family man! But he is also a 150+ year old undersocialized half human half curse. He does his best, but he ends up having to go sit outside for a bit because it gets too much for him. Everyone whose opinion I care about loves him though, because of how we clearly care for each other. We are just the worst introvert x introvert couple when it comes to social events.

Giyuu. Terrible at any social situation. So awkward. Kills any conversation he is invited into. Many aunts and uncles comment on his messy eating and dead expression so i end up having to defend him. He does his best though.

Uramichi. Does not enjoy dealing with my extended family at all. He is a master of putting on a happy face when he is secretly miserable though; but it ends up cracking by the end of the night. Then bluntest of my cousin's kids notice and loudly comment on his exhausted expression. He then drops some classic uramichi wisdom (tm) and makes them fear for their emotional state once they reach adulthood.

Nakime. Sits in the corner in silence. No one even realizes she is there. Offers to murder anyone who even mildly annoys me.

Akito. Snippy with everyone. Can't stand seeing my cousins' kids take my attention, so she ends up clinging to me and being really mean to anyone who tries to talk to me. Ends up throwing hands with my mother and losing.

Douma. We don't even go because I am locked up in his cult

Listen me and Giyuu would literally be the most boring couple ever. I'd tell our friends 'oh can't go out tonight it's date night :)'.

Then cut to 'date night' and I'm sitting in his lap on the couch playing tetris on my phone while he watches over my shoulder. And that's it. That's date night, and we're both ridiculously happy about it

I think (aside from my f/os douma and giyuu) I would be shipped with shinobu a lot! Partially just bc she has more of a connection to the kakushi especially the medics so we'd interact more but also just bc I very obviously think she's cool lol (even if she bullies my crush skskksks)

���: Why would your ship be thought of as cute/fluffy? Why would your ship be considered problematic?

Me and giyuu are prime introvert x introvert quiet romance material! So a lot of showing our love through quality time and actions; i think it would make prime material for some mindless fluff fics. Also the fact that we eventually become very comfortable with each other, and kind of become each other's safety.

I'm struggling a bit to think of how we would be problematic...maybe bc I had a bit of a crush on him and would leave him snacks/nice things when we ran into each other so a sort of secret admirer thing which could be considered creepy by some people ig? (We had met but only on my job where im obviously in the kakushi get up, so he doesn't really recognize me as someone he met multiple times until later)

🛌: What tropes show up in fics involving your ship?

Friends to lovers and secret admirer aus I think! Also I can see us being coworkers to lovers in a modern universe (kimetsu gakuen adjacent!) but I also love the creature/monster x their human lover trope for us. Also the aforementioned introvert x introvert lol

Rocho: top choso ship 100%. Started as a rarepair back when we had never even interacted bc like 3 people thought 'hey let's ship this background gag character and choso bc it will be funny' and then later on we had canon interactions and the ship blew up. The og three people lord the fact that they were the og shippers over everyone's heads.

Satoromy: probably top 10 ship. Lots of fighting with satosugu shippers for some reason. People call us an obligatory het ship and a huge fight breaks out bc I dont have a canonical confirmed gender and every satoromy shipper has a different gender headcanon for me. (Gege keeps using different pronouns for me. Reigning theory is that they just forgot what my gender is and just pulls it out of their ass each new chapter).

Rodouma: shippers under fire constantly for romanticizing Stockholm syndrome or whatever. Shippers make killer beauty and the beast aus tho

Akiguro: under fire for romanticizing unhealthy relationships. 15 year old bisexuals are making angsty amvs about us.
