"Here, I'm late for practice and I don't want this to go to waste."

Daisy stared at the piece of pumpkin pie on her plate as she turned to see Ruggie walking away. This wasn't the first time this happened either.

More often than not, Ruggie would give Daisy desserts, more specifically pumpkin ones.

While she didn't mind, it was surely odd. After all, Ruggie was known for eating all sorts of food and if he got full, he'd simply pack it up for later.

"Wanna have half? "

Ruggie had come up to Daisy's table offering her dessert once more. Surely enough it was pumpkin flavored.

And with that once more, Ruggie and Daisy ended up sharing a dessert.

It couldn't be that he liked her... Right? No no ofcourse not! Don't overthink it, Daisy! ... But it's not like he does this with just anyone...

Ruggie felt a tap on his shoulder as he turned to see Daisy with a basket in hand.

"Since you always share your food, I wanted to return the favor. "

Removing the top from the basket, Ruggie peered inside to see some cupcakes. Freshly baked at that.

"Well it's it's free food then I ain't complaining shishishi

Though one thing, how did you get the supplies to make these? "

"OH UH that's not important. So come on before these go stale! "

Bonus (An hour ago) :

"You're mixing it too slow, Daisy. "

"Huh?! But you said if I mix too fast the batter, the cupcakes will be too flat, Poppy! "

"Mhm but mixing it too slow will result in a lot of air bubbles getting trapped and it would the cupcakes undercooked. Here let me do it! You can mix the dry ingredients instead since you don't have to be careful about speed the"

"i feel like a burden now but good thing I asked you for help."

"Not at all! I'm so happy you came to me for help infact!"

"Still. "

Daisy infact does know how to bake but she is too panicked at the moment hence is more prone to mess up <3

In my head in the beginning of book 3 Daisy genuinely thought her and Ruggie were like good friends, since she helped him with the healing of his arm in between book 2 and 3, but unfortunately for her the boy doesn't open up that easily ☹️
