More Johnalthea goodness I was excited to share with you all but this time, in the form of a beautifully breathtaking three-page comic, done by none other than the lovely and sweet @jaguardorado16~✨💓 This masterpiece of a commission was heavily inspired by the demo version of Wish's 'At All Costs' and this amazing fan storyboard/animatic as seen here 🌟 Although the movie is mostly reviewed as mediocre itself (despite the hidden references, secrets and easter eggs to other Disney classics) this song I really enjoy listening to~😌To me, it really gives off John Dory x Amalthea vibes (hence it being their love song list💕) it really fits them~💚💘 You cannot imagine how truly over the moon I am to have this wonderfully romantic and memorable moment between John and Ama brought magically to life~🪄✨🥹I am absolutely love, love, LOVING every single part and page to the stars and heavens above -LITERALLY~!!😍💖🥰🌌🥰💖😍 Every time I look at them this way - dancing and singing amongst the stars together, the song always plays in my head, it's absolutely perfect...EEEEEEE~!!🤩🌟💝🌟🤩And it's great to see Broppy witnessing the beautiful moment too~💙🩷😉

Hello darling,

You know how weeks ago you asked readers to mention their favourite part from "We Will Meet Again"? I didn’t write anything because I didn’t know which part of the story was my favourite. I had so many feelings about this story; with every chapter, a new emotion appeared. Happiness, anger, delight, hurt, sadness, excitement, relief—you name it!

Until I started rereading the story. Guess what? My favourite part of the story is Epilogue 1. I know it might shock you, given all the things I told you about this epilogue and the unmentionables 😆. But I came to truly understand the bittersweet beauty of the chapter. Realistically speaking, Rosie and Elaine were never meant to be together or even meet each other for obvious reasons. But somehow, they did. They met, fell in love, spent a weekend together, and separated in the speed of light. From their meeting in Chapter 1 to their separation in Chapter 6, and everything else in between, is something that happens only in fairytales. It’s magical! Epilogue 1 showcases the realistic side of life that is not a fairytale. People can fall in love again and again, move on with their lives, and be happy and fulfilled. Maybe Elaine didn’t fall in love as intensely with Brian as she did with Rosie, and maybe Rosie didn’t have that crazy love with Julie as he did with Elaine. But that doesn’t mean they loved them any less. On the contrary, Brian and Julie provided them with a more stable and safe type of love—a love that they can come back to and feel at peace. Rosie’s and Elaine’s love was a beautiful chaos that they will never forget and will forever remember in a bittersweet way because a love like this doesn’t come by very often. For each other, they will always be the one that got away—the unfulfilled love that didn’t come to bloom.

That being said, I am very grateful, happy, and thankful that Epilogue 2 exists and we got to experience that beautiful, chaotic love bloom 🥰.

Another favourite part of the story was in Chapter 2, where Rosie was chasing Pappy to get the photo back, and Rosie’s drunk letter to Elaine!

First, thank you for rereading. This means a lot to me bc of the time and feelings and words you've generously given for this little old fic!! 💚🥹

Second, no one really talks about chapter 7 in the asks and I always find it funny because it's like being intentionally ignored! 😆 I thought of deleting it at some point but nope, it's already there! Also, I think I like my endings with a hint of bittersweetness to them.

I like to think that the relationships they had with Brian and Julie are slow ones and develop over time and friendship. Safe and stable are the right terms—maybe not as exciting as Elaine and Rosie's but still love!

Also, yes to moving on and being happy with other people! I've always liked second chances stories, the "it's always been you" of it all (ep2 lol), but there's a lack of stories of people moving on (or maybe im not looking hard enough) and I wanted to see it with these two! It makes sense with them, doesn't it?

E & R would always have a tenderness for each other because of the time they spent, that's for sure. 😊
