he acts like he doesn't care about you, but really he does- why else would he follow you around the house, watching intently and quickly looking away when you turn? the creature from the woods- Foul Legacy- doesn't say much. he's more of a constant, looming presence behind you, scary for some but comforting for you. you've become accustomed to his silent ways, how he grumbles when you ask him a question, how he acts like you're pestering him yet never leaves your side

once you began scritching under his chin and caught him by surprise, the small hisses quickly turning to quiet purrs as he leaned into your touch, crystalline eye slipping closed. he had yelped that day once he realized what he was doing, already-crimson mask blushing further yet unable to tear himself away from your touch. you hear more of those sounds nowadays- excited chirps and little trills and sweet, meltingly soft croons. he allows you to pet him more, murmuring and hesitantly clasping your wrist in his claws. not all the time, but sometimes

but when Foul Legacy walks in on you sitting on your floor, head buried in your knees, he's lost. he's only been taught to maim and kill, which is all he needed before... but you're so small and fragile-looking right now, and he wants to help you smile again but how? how can he get close without breaking you? he quietly sits beside you, and to his surprise you turn and lean against him, wrapping your hand around one of his claws. small chirps slip from his mouth as he begins to gently pat your head, cooing happily when your sobs lessen and begin to die away. if you give him permission, he carefully gathers you in his arms and sets you on his lap, stroking up and down your back like you would often do for him

and that's when you know that he really does care for you, in his own way <33

I remember a while back an anon had a thought of cop!Leone abducts reader only to let them go iirc? but that got me thinking.. imagine they somehow reunited, maybe reader is part of the group or has to help them. the guilt this man faces upon seeing them again years later. what if they don't immediately recognize him too.. it took them a moment or so, but when they did, I could see it go two different ways;

either they get awkward or happy to see him again. but am I a huge sucker for compliant readers or Stockholm syndrome in dark or yandere settings? oh absolutely. <3 poor Leone having to deal with this.. this man would probably be expecting the worst from them but oddly enough they talk to him as if he never even abducted them? it's not like they don't remember it, because they do.

He's horribly anxious from the moment he sees you again. A normal person would've gone far, far away from where they were kidnapped- yet here you are, practically begging to put your head on his lap again.

Leone really doesn't deserve you. He wasn't even that good to you- he was bitter, openly mocked you- he's not the type of man you should want. Whatever saved you from him is proof God, or whatever you want to call him, is real, and hates him.

The worst depressive episode of his life is about to be overshadowed by the worst anxiety attack of his life. He thought he was over you- you're just something from his past that keeps him up at night, not a real person. You're not real. Just something he replays in the evening, with a bottle in his hand, or two.... or five.

He doesn't think you're actually here until Guido or Narancia speaks to you directly. His mind is just playing tricks on him because he deserves it. It kind of hits him like a truck. You're- you're here? With him? Sitting at the same table, not freaking out because he's been trying to inch away from you (or closer to you, he alternates) for the past forty minutes?

Leone chokes up when you try to talk to him. He'll actually back away- it'd be funny if it weren't anxiety-inducing to see a grown man back up in fear.

He avoids you. Especially if you'd nice to him. Look, he isn't going to hurt you, he's not that type of man anymore. He's grown, matured... He'd rather you be angry at him, but you're such a sweet thing, aren't you.

When he relapses on you and chases you again, he tells himself he's too grown to be acting a fool like this. It doesn't deter him much.

He would find it refreshing, until it starts to annoy him and then it wouldn’t be so charming anymore. Scaramouche likes that you aren’t afraid to say what’s on your mind or filter your thoughts for politeness or courtesy. He’s especially fond of the way you can so easily compliment or insult someone depending on the circumstances. If you could put Childe in his place with a quick-witted insult, completely shameless and merciless, he would just love it! He eats it up like it’s the drama he’s been waiting to witness in the entirety of his puppet life. Your direct nature has led to some very entertaining moments.

However, if you were to point any of his flaws out with that boldness of yours he wouldn’t enjoy it very much and a punishment would certainly ensue. You should craft every response carefully when you’re in his presence, especially since he can be rather short-fused at times. And if you refuse to walk on eggshells when around him, then he’ll find plenty of ways for you to learn your place.

ok, Foul Legacy is VERY in-tune with your emotions- if you're happy, he's happy, if you're sad, he's sad! so when he walks in on you in the midst of a panic attack he also freaks out just a little- Foul Legacy's super tempted to rush up and find out what's wrong but Childe's presence in the back of his mind tells him not to, it might make you feel even more panicked. so instead he approaches you slowly, kneeling beside you and letting out worried, questioning whines. when you don't respond he reaches out a hand and you quickly latch onto it, wheezing and breathing erratically

Foul Legacy quietly holds your hand, trying to keep you grounded to earth, and when your breathing refuses to even out he goes a step further and brushes his claws gently against your face, cupping your cheek and swiping his thumb over the skin. you still for a moment, then melt into his touch, holding his hand with your own as he lets out tiny whimpers and coos. your breathing begins to return to normal, the pressure on your lungs slowly fading and your vision clearing, and you finally see Foul Legacy almost in tears. now you're absolutely exhausted and just want to be close to the Abyss monster you love, so you unashamedly crawl into his lap and curl up, resting your head on his soft lilac fluff. you hear him let out a surprised yelp, his talons hovering just above your shoulders until you tug and nuzzle your cheek into his palm, and he carefully drapes his arms over you. he doesn't mind if you fall asleep for however long, or don't and just want to snuggle and talk a bit, but he's here and he's purring, a small, delicate buzz in your ear, Childe silent and relieved in his mind

Foul Legacy's not going anywhere, and his claws gently trail up your back as you yawn and cuddle further into his fluff

I do not have a valentine this year, so at least I get to sleep in. It snowed today, too, so I’m simply elated. 

My favorites are sooo funny next to each other. Hotpants, Guido, Vanilla, Santana, and Narciso walk into a bar… Put them all in the same room and it’s dead quiet. Guido stands around a bit desperate to talk to someone who won’t side eye him like crazy, Narciso files his nails in the corner, Santana just squints at Hotpants, who is trying to ignore the fact that she’s the most modestly dressed individual there…

Guido is big on the holiday. He’s a hopeless romantic at heart, years of consuming only romcoms and mushy songs about love will do that to you. Now that he actually has a special someone, he’s thrilled. He’s a rose petals leading to his sofa bed kind of guy, maybe even a gondola and dinner kind of date. Never mind the fact that the gondolier is Narancia. Or the fact that Guido hasn't let go of you once.

Narciso prison drawings go HARD for valentine’s day. They let him have glitter and use scissors. Safety scissors, but still scissors. If his darling isn’t in prison jail with him, they receive a card every single year. You’ll get a card if you’re in there, too, but if you’re not in jail it’s more gaudy. He has to make sure everyone knows you’re spoken for. Tons of hearts, lots of lace he most certainly stole from the art room, and it sort of smells like him! Because he slept with it for a week. He wrote all over it, but his handwriting slowly gets messier and messier, and a bit more out of line. Who says something like “Think of me!!!” and “I wish I could eat your dead skin cells” in the same paragraph…?

Hotpants might do something special. Maybe bring a special dinner home, and some fresh flowers. She doesn’t ask her darling to be her valentine, since she’s… really the only person her darling is able to talk to. It’s not that she assumes you want to be valentines or anything, it’s just that in her head you’re her spouse already and she’s willing to just dance around it. For dinners, she normally brings back game she caught… you don’t have to eat it, but you do need to cook it for her. Hotpants is capable of cooking for herself, but she likes to make sure her darling is doing chores so their brain won’t melt. That, and it’s nice. If you don’t eat meat, she’ll try fish, and if that still isn’t to your liking, she’ll bring back more options for you. For holidays and your birthday, you don’t have to cook at all. You may be left alone for a few days, if she needs to get any special ingredients… but not for long.

It works well in darling's favor lol. They wouldn't even be fazed as Scaramouche cuts into them with harsh words, and when he realizes they have a degradation kink it just makes it all the more interesting. Now he actually has to choose his words carefully, lest he end up pleasing you instead of insulting you with his colorful lexicon. He'll have to resort to other means of punishing you when you do anything out of line. A cruel vocabulary won't work in this situation, so he'll have to be creative with punishments. And if all else fails, there are always physical means of taming you.

But maybe you'll also like that. He's really going to have to get to know you better if he intends on learning who you really are, sexual preferences and all. And perhaps he'll end up enjoying this arrangement after all. It's dependent on his mood most days, but if you look beyond the irritation scrawled on his perfect features you'll find something lingering in his sharp gaze. Perhaps it's adoration when he sees how much of an effect his words have on you. Perhaps it's contempt. Either way, there's no mistaking his obvious enjoyment when he pushes you to breaking, if such a thing is possible for you.

He'll just have to wait and see.
