'Astarion outliving his friends and possibly SO' is angsty and good for those who like exploring the themes of bereavement and all, and it is a possible outcome (he's not helpless), but it is my firm opinion that there is still a damn good chance that guy is gonna die first and be outlived by them.

#Is this an unpopular opinion?#I know it's not a new suggestion but I seem to know a lot of people who haven't considered the possibility #He's ageless not unkillable: accidents happen #He's doing much better than in Act 1 (where he will get himself killed if you don't pick him up and so leave him to his own devices)#But Astarion's idea of a good time involves danger and violence #to say nothing of Ascended Astarion's coping method of *lethal* levels of hubris #As evidenced in him trying to turn Karlach sans engine upgrade and getting burned then throwing a temper tantrum when-#-reality kicks in and his beliefs of being “untouchable” are threatened #Or thinking he's in charge when the prophet and vessel of murder informs him they *might* spare him #'I am the greatest vampire to ever live.' - Sir you are level 12.#And not as unique as you think #You've also got 'just cure the bastard and he'll eventually die of old age' on the table #babbling #/astarion #edgelord hours
