'Astarion outliving his friends and possibly SO' is angsty and good for those who like exploring the themes of bereavement and all, and it is a possible outcome (he's not helpless), but it is my firm opinion that there is still a damn good chance that guy is gonna die first and be outlived by them.

I really don't know how to properly word this so here goes:

I like Alastor in the sense that I think he's well written and I really look forward to his scenes for the entertainment purposes. But he's also in my top three hated characters and I kind of hope he ends up being one of the big bads for the final season just to see him get his ass kicked! XD

Right it's here and don't shoot me but I don't think it's sad bad as everyone thinks it is.... Let me explain.

In the adaptation that shall not be named, the costumes and whole world were completely resigned to be more realistic to the real world sources of the characters. They took the "remake the world from the ground up" approach. - but then everyone complained it was too beige and colourless. I personally think the costumes and set was like the only thing that was somewhat good in that movie

And in this new adaptation it looks like they've taken inspiration direct from source— as in the Cartoon.

Now people saying its too goofy 😭 like guys we can't have both.

People saying it looks like costumes or cosplays people wear to cons is because they've gone the cartoon route and not made too much change— which i do think is a huge risk as Cartoon to Live action can look real fake because of the change in medium.

However that being said, they've gone the cartoon route and i think that's probably in some attempt to keep source accurate ( even though the creators dipped so who knows 🙃) and it kinda works.

Like it's not that badddd, they just look like the cartoons which won't ever truly read as real in our brains.

Ideally they would have found the middle ground between cartoon and real world tbh but 🤷🏾‍♀️

Each Danganronpa game of the trilogy likes to present the concept of all the students being very close friends if it weren't for the whole killing game, but I call BS on that one. Like, really? ALL 16 students of each game would get along? Even the ones who prove to be selfish and/or willing to kill even without being put into a killing game? (Celeste and Korekiyo being the main ones I'm referring to.)

Things should be less convenient.

Not in a bro way like "you gotta take ice baths and wake up at 4 AM every day" way, but in the sense that we've achieved a lot of convenience at the price of human misery. Like we shouldn't be able to get an overnight Amazon delivery if it means a warehouse worker has to piss in a bottle instead of taking bathroom breaks.

reading the same book series over and over across a ten year span makes me very aware of how i have changed in my relationship with the story and the characters. like, back when i first read asoiaf in 2014 (i was 16) i liked sansa and sandor as a romantic pairing. it made sense to me and i liked the ship dynamic. it stayed like that for the next couple of rereads, and tbh, that's how i first got into the fandom. guess there's some sort of sansan-shipper-to-euron-apologist pipeline lol. anyway, earlier this year when i reread the books after 4-5 years, i realized that ship did not make much sense to me anymore. now i am closer to sandor's age than to sansa's and it's just too fucking weird. there's beautiful fanwork out there for it tho!! enjoy it! if it ends up as a canon pairing then fine, there are weirder, worse things in those books. but i just wanted to say that i'd still like sansa to have a nice happy marriage, and i much prefer the idea of her with someone closer to her age, even harry hardyng. he is kind of a jerk but i liked the vibe i got from sansa's twow sample chapter. it was funny idk.

Random thought about Obey Me! Nightbringer: I don't like how casually the characters chat with us through text. Obey Me! Nightbringer is supposed to be about the character's pasts, set after the celestial war. They're supposed to feel great anger, sadness, and depression. So seeing Satan rate cat poses and send us pictures when he's supposed to feel anger and resent his very existence feels weird. It's not the Obey Me! where MC was kidnapped in the devildom for the exchange program, where they are a beloved human. It feels like I'm seeing the texts they send later in Obey Me! Shall we Date, where they get closer to MC and they have had more time to cope with what happened during the war? Receiving those texts from Satan in the other game wouldn't be surprising, because we know his huge love for cats and how he is actually quite calm in his day-to-day life. But in Nightbringer? It feels too weird. Too casual. We don't know him that much yet, so why would he be that vulnerable? And this goes for every character and side character too.

You know what. I think Denethor got a bad rep. The movies made me think he was The Worst, but in the books, he is just kinda... mean? And the whole time we see him, he is grieving keep in mind! Especially the whole thing with him wanting to burn alive with his only son left barely holding on... I mean he IS wrong and that IS fucked up but. Also he WAS corrupted? and despaired and grieving.

I'm just saying. He wasn't his best self, and YOU KNOW WHAT I WOULDN'T BE EITHER if my child died and war was raging and my home/house was falling and people were dying. I get that a big theme of lotr is hope against hopelessness, and that is for sure very admirable, but. It is also very human to lose hope and give into despair, and I guess then you burn alive. If nothing else it's a good lesson. Keep holding on to hope or BURN.

What I think and what canon is (even though canon sucks ass) will not always match. I'm personally very happy about that lmao.

Magic anons! Yeah some of them could be weird/creepy and those are super Not Pog, but when done right they could be a fun silly little time. I remember seeing ask blogs doing them was part of the draw to tumblr rp for me in the first place, so it kinda bums me out that they're just like...not cool anymore I guess?

That said, I'd love to see the new, more creative lists of m!as that we could potentially come up with in 2023, because I admit a lot of old lists have a lot of the same tropey ones like "muse is cat person now" (which don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with those). But like. Idk I just think an m!a list in 2023 could potentially look very different and interesting
