why I hate elm*x or elementary as I call it:

1: El is straight and in love with Mike. There was not once any indication that she was a lesbian. Same with Max.

2: Max was a bad influence on El. She literally made her spy on their boyfriends and for what? Plus Max trying to ruin Milevens relationship.

3: Two girls can be friends without it having to be gay. They had literally just met and spent a few days together. You can't fall in love with someone that quickly.

4: El hates Max. Did you even watch season two?

Look I'm not homophobic but can't we just stick to the canon ships instead of replacing it with something toxic just because it's two men or two women? Lumax, Mileven, Stancy, Duzie, Jopper, and Hellcheer endgame.

Is high femme the same as stone femme? I’ve seen couple definitions - one is similar or the same as stone and one is dressing super feminine. Thank you!

yeah, these days people love to remove the lesbian and sexual connotations so they can use it to mean ultra feminine, but the original use of the term was to refer to the partners of stone butches, aka stone (bottom) femmes. so that’s how i prefer to still use it and how i wish others would use it as well. not all high/stone femmes are ultra feminine and not all ultra feminine wlw have anything to do with butch/femme culture. the decontextualization of the term makes it harder for people to understand the high femme identity although there’s still plenty of us still identifying that way

He's watching her intently as her lips leave his neck, hands sliding down his thighs. As she parts his knees and kneels down between them. There are three dead Vice Kings in the room with them, blood seeping into the cracks in the concrete.

It smells vile.

There's this certain haziness about her. In her eyes---like she's not all there. Gat watches, a little longer than he should, sinking into the tattered, almost moldy couch in the VK hideout as she fumbles with his belt. She's always a little gone, always, but not when they get close like this. No, not once.

For once he's actually skeeved out by it. Doesn't want this. Doesn't want what's about to happen.

Johnny takes her jaw in his hand, angles her face up to look at him. "You straight?" the words don't feel right; not nearly tender enough for this but he's never been one for words and he isn't delusional enough to pretend to be now.

He can see it in her face how hard she's thinking. Like the words need to make more of an effort to reach her. His stomach lurches. Christ, Xixi's more than gone right now. Johnny rubs his thumb against the soft skin of her cheek, her jaw still resting in his palm. And he nods over to the space next to him. Its almost funny---all this tenderness from Johnny Gat of all people. If Xixi were really here, really present, the irony would have her in stitches.

She uses his thighs for leverage as she gets up off her knees, her movements slow. Hazy. Whatever she took is hitting her like a fucking truck now.

Xixi blinks, "What's wrong?"

"What's wrong? You're high as shit. That's what's wrong." She only shrugs him off. "What'd you take?"

"Nothing you need to worry about."

"That's not what I fuckin' asked though, is it?"

"Gat, I'm fine. I'll sleep it off---always do." and she sinks into the deteriorating couch like she's begging it to swallow her whole. Xixi brings her hands up to her face. "'So stupid."

Nudging her shoulder with his, he glances over at the bodies. Almost forgot about them. They need to get gone soon or they'll end up with another fight on their hands. He takes her wrist lightly in his grasp, tries to pull it down away from her face. His way of saying you can talk to me without actually having to say the words.

It feels like it'd kill him to say it.

She shoves him away rougher than she means to, he thinks. Shoots up off the couch and sets her gun in the waistband of her jeans. "I'm going home." its so quiet, the way she says it. Makes something in his chest ache a little. He doesn't like it one bit.

Instead of saying anything, Gat watches as she leaves through the door, listens to the roar of her car's engine. He knows she's in no state to get anywhere, knows he should run out and stop her. Offer to drive her home. But he lets her go. Sits there a while, just him and the bodies.

He buckles his belt. Gets the hell out of dodge.

I don't believe Palestinians as a whole hate Jews. And I don't think I promote a thinking like that. I think like in Israel there are extremists there and there's a lot of propaganda against Israelis and Jews in general BC of hamas. You can see it in the schoolbooks, TV shows, in the statistics of support for terrorism in different polls. I believe a different way is possible because while there are extremists on both sides, Gazans are being brainwashed into that hate. I don't get why it's wrong to acknowledge that. Ppl elevate extremist Israelis and claim it's all Israelis all the time, I don't do that and I think Gaza has a LOT of innocent people & people who can be de-radicalized. not to love Israel or anything but just not be bombarded with antisemitic propaganda

1. the character everyone gets wrong

is it too much to say all of them? i’ll say percy because i’m the most territorial over him. my dash is so curated by this point that i don’t run into many wrong takes about him, but on the off chance i scroll through the wilds of ao3 instead of operating off of recommendations and author’s bookmarks there is plenty there that just shows. no understanding of his character or the way the events of his childhood (both godly and mortal) impacted him.

20. part of canon you found tedious or boring

i’m going to be honest i never read toa bc i found the entire premise…uninspiring. but as for the canon i did read: i found the whole percy vs. jason line at the beginning of moa completely wasteful. not only is the question of who is most powerful a moot point, but rick took what could have been a very interesting examination of rival philosophies and boiled it down into something utterly inconsequential. lame.

21. part of canon you think is overhyped

speaking of toa…solangelo. listen listen listen. ik i just told you i haven’t read it, but that’s for good reason. even through years of toa books, and the sun & the star or whatever the fuck it was called—i’ve never gleaned an ounce of will’s personality. which is not to say that he doesn’t have any! but if anything i found him more compelling in tlo, or that scene in boo where he’s wearing jeans, flip flops, and a scrub top (the fact that i can remember that description after 5yrs speaks for itself). i follow enough nico fans that if there were anything special about will in canon it would’ve come my way, but it hasn’t, and for that reason i don’t care abt their relationship.
