i just wanted to say no matter what fandom you go to or what type of art you produce you are seriously my favorite artist of all time!!! i began following you back in the dsmp phase (bit embarrassing for me but its okay) and I know it doesn't mean much coming from a stranger but each piece of yours whether it be a full illustration or uncolored comic gives me dancing butterflies in my stomach and I can't help but zoom in on every detail. thank you so much for publicly posting your art, it is a gift to this world and you have magical hands

I honestly thought I lost face as 'artist' bc I just dropped off the radar at that time I couldn't handle the internet bullsht going on in the community LOL. Like- people wouldn't recognize me/my art anymore if I started drawing again- but reading this made me happier now that I'm back in drawing.

This has some pretty sensitive material so dont read it if you don't want to this is just my thoughts

Y'know I've been thinking. Hearing about all the anti- Muslim bigotry going on nowadays, rampant islamophobia, Muslim girls left right and center like me being arrested for things like peacefully protesting, having concrete bricks thrown at them, getting stabbed while minding their own business, a man with a knife shouting islamophobia while brandishing a knife outside my workplace (this today actually), boys as young as 6 being stabbed while someone shouts "death to all Muslims" - and I can understand why people are saying the rampant bigotry and islamophobia and racism hasn't been this bad in 20 years. And I'm very lucky in the sense that nothing that terrible has ever happened to me. The worst that's ever happened is stones thrown at my house, being called a terror (ist), getting accidentally stuck and jostled at an EDL rally, but it's so much worse for others. And it scares me to such an extent that it could happen much worse to other people or me later. On account of what? Being Muslim? Standing up to illegal occupation? I don't think it's fair. The discrimination the unfairness, the blatant humiliation on account of just being brown or being Muslim or both.

Point being, check up on your Muslim friends if you have any. The world is a scary as shit place right now. And they would appreciate the fact that you care. And go a step further, ask them questions, educate yourself on their way of lives as people instead of just number stats and respect the similarities and differences that make us different but equal.
