i love the idea of the eggs glowing and you being able to faintly see all the eggs through the skin of your belly. just a fun reminder that a monster bred you and that your pregnancy is anything but normal… merchilde who constantly has a webbed hand on your belly, rubbing down over the eggs and gently prodding at the ones he can see pushing against your belly and forming a little bump in your skin bc you’ve just been packed so full…

you’re not sure how he’s able to tell the eggs apart because they all look the exact same to you, but he seems convinced that he can tell the little sets of siblings apart and that he just knows who’s who. he loves them all so much, and he knows you do too… a mother’s love is the most important force in the entire universe, and you wouldn’t deprive all his eggs of feeling such a thing, would you? he can’t wait to have a family with you once the clutch is born ❤️

The way, after Rae says "what if he just does this again if you get hurt," they just. laugh. Not a happy laugh, but a very incredibly bitter one. sure, he'd sacrifice the world, and it's stability, for them - but 3 weeks ago (more than, now) he was going to kill them. and, at least, to them, he wasn't going to bring them back in way of a reset - he'd bring them back when he was done with all if this. He wasn't going to go back that far - he wasn't going to risk losing that power. (But Rae doesn't know that. They didn't say he was going to kill them because, in their own words, it didn't matter. Rae doesn't need to know that - doesn't need to know that fable wouldn't reset the world of they got hurt again. And they're hurt; gods how badly their hurt - and their world is the same.)
