I love that dbd lets me explore steve and nancy's characters outside the bullshit that the show is.#because the whole steve and nancy dynamic is Interesting. but the dustbags are plagued by cerebral hetrot so that story never GOES anywhere #it's just the “Waaaah love triangle OMG!!! will they? won't they?” crap. idk man. idc. why're these dumbasses breathing in Upside down air?#some people here have seen lucy before-- he is the ghostface pictured. and he's an OC. different person entirely from danny.#I won't explain his full lore here but-- he was a drag queen before the fog who started out by only killing those who he felt deserved it.#his entire persona satirises catholicism and he calls himself “the holy ghost” rather than ghostface. the entity made him an actual devil.#he's obsessed with steve because he LIVES his own role so he sees steve as his heroic opposite or some fucked up gay shit like that.#he's clutching kate's heart because if he were a real character in the game-- he'd have two moris.#one standard... and one for if a steve is present in the lobby. the second would involve him carving out the heart of a survivor as a gift.#he never harms steve though-- so it makes steve's penchant for self-sacrifice pointless.#steve instead has to do what he can to open the gates as fast as possible-- or watch everyone else die! :)#as for the toxic yuri-- it occurred to me that sadako's backstory bears some striking similarities to barb's story.#as soon as I realised this-- it was like I had suddenly gained the ability to see a new colour I could not see before.#sadako wanting to torment nancy as sick revenge for what happened to her but using barb's death as justification for this...#...nancy being unable to escape the ghost of barb... even in this hell dimension full of terrifying monsters--#it is still the memory of the girl she feels she “let” die in steve's pool that scares and hurts her the most.#not to mention that sadako's powers are reminiscent of how the upside down related fuckery appears...#the screwy technology. the telekinesis.#I just REALLY love seeing characters be forced to confront difficult parts of themselves even if that shit REALLY hurts.#dbd makes it so easy to do that to any given character. of course this goes both ways too-- it'd force lucy & sadako to change too.#which opens the door for torment on their end too because killers who disobey the entity are tortured into obeying.#a rock and a hard place on both ends. and that is Exactly how I like it. intense. complicated-- a puzzle to be solved.

actually stunned by how gay The Beatles has been all this time and I just never knew

#like its always just been there in my life but i just never paid attention #my university roomie was obsessed w them and had several beatles posters that i looked at every day #so stuff like the pictures of them from the let it be album are like engrained into my brain #and yet i never knew the lore??#nor did i know until recently that they were actually all high school buds nor did i know they wrote their own music #nor that they genuinely basically invented modern bands n using the studio the way they did etc. so all that was very impressive and cool #but THEN on top of that omg the angsty gayness of john and paul #like all i knew previously basically was that john was a thing w yoko ono and paul had a young wife recently #i had at one point heard of people shipping j&p together and was just kinda like wow i guess people will ship anything #I DIDNT KNOW #that they were actually like that cute and that insane together and that their song writing together was like an actual marriage #anywayz the old pictures and videos of them are just like jesus look how they look at each other i dont think it was just being bros #i am sort of in the camp of they prob didn't act on it for real but there was def some insane tension/chemistry going on #and then ofc once youre aware of this their songs take on so many possible meanings outside of just singing about their gfs and wives....#anyways i just have to vent about this somewhere bc im actually shocked at how this has just passed me by all these years #and it definitely was not on my bingo card for 2024 to fixate on the beatles but here we are lol #more proof to me that my ultimate fave trope or wtv is 'besties to enemies when really they actually probably wanted to be lovers'#gets me every time!!!!#whats been fun about this rabbit hole is how just every single one of my expectations has been reversed as well #i went in assuming i would like them best in this order:#(1) george (2) ringo (3) paul and (4) john #i was sure i would hate john i thought he sounded so pretentious and like such a douche #but no actually he is my fave one and it's literally in reverse order for me i find george my least fave #(i like his music and feel bad for how he got ignored in the band but i like him the least)#and then i literally am john paul ringo george in order of faves now #i just love when i get surprised like that idk it keeps me on my toes and keeps things exciting and fresh #and yes john is indeed pretentious and a douche but i didn't know he was also funny and vulnerable and that i like his voice and songs #the most in the bunch almost every time as well #the beatles #p

Hearing a clip of flans on this podcast talking about how they were influenced by the residents because they're a very distinct band and you feel like when you listen to them you're really entering their world and it's just like that's EXACTLY what I was trying to express the other day and failing to do so the idea that they really did create this musical universe where it's like if there's no place for these Weird songs to exist we will create this place where they can . And you really do get that feeling that it's like recordings from another dimension sometimes obviously especially with like early dial a song stuff where you're hearing it over the phone so that really lends it that air but in general that's something I love about their music So much .. and obviously there are themes and imagery that's repeated throughout their body of work I don't know its my favorite thing ...tmbgworld. I need to go live there

#and like that kind of alien perspective they have going on lyrically that i think is why it really appeals especially to autistic people #because it resonates with how i see the world and other people ... its like tmbg makes music from my brain basically thats why i and so man #other people love them with the force of 1000 suns #and the musical universe thing its cool because its subtle and hard to describe #what links things together and gives you this specific feeling #it isnt overt like the Tmbg Musical Universe is an established place with lore #although that can be really great when other groups do that Obviously like pfunk #but i love how with tmbg its like. omg so hard to describe but the residents influence is very clear and i love when they talk about that #but at the same time its very different from that in ways that are great too #because theres a lot more humanity there for lack of a better terms and ugh idk #i wish i was better at putting things into words anyway i love they might be giants so so so much

hey question to the people that watch vods from people other than forever and/or cellbit, but knows what goes on with them, does any other egg have the kind of lore that richas has been bringing up? Like the art thing etc bc they have been trying to figure out if richas is only playing or if it's truly Lore being revealed and forever even has talked about thinking the eggs were maybe the 24 original people in the island (which idk if I agree, but it could make sense!) and I just want to know if other eggs have revealed anything explicitly or implicitly

#like. okay they just dropped that an underground mysterious group was watching diluc go rampant around teyvat against the fatui and were #like omg slayyy and he got into the organisation and reached the upper ranks and then they dipped #who are these people?? what's their goal?? how come there's members willing to sacrifice their identity and previous lives to be a part #of it?? i am on my knees begging for something more about them 😩#if we don't find out who the msyerious man that saved diluc and introduced him to the organisation is what even is the point #seriously though how come this organisation is so vast and up to all the nation's business but so far we have NOTHING on it besides what #we know from diluc's lore??#it's kind of bonkers if you think about it actually #being anti-fatui and being so incredibly resourceful and seemingly powerful since they saved diluc's life and diluc himself is quite the #unusual person strength wise #obviously we don't know what happened but it's just so intriguing #i wonder if other characters could work for the organisation too?!#i want to know how this organisation was formed so bad #i think the motive for their existence intrigues me so much because i'm so sure the fatui and the tsaritsa aren't the bad guys #obviously they do a lot of questionable things and it's fair that people like diluc and others that have been hurt by them want to #bring justice into the world but i doubt the tsaritsa has bad intentions #i think that's also why i like the theory of crepus being the missing harbinger só much #i would pay so much for diluc to have a realisation moment in regards to his father and the fatui #i just think that sort of character exploration would be so much fun #but regardless of that i am gnawing at hoyoverse front door pleading for more on the underground organisation #truly one of the things i'm most curious about in genshin

Hey there!! Omg I'm so happy you enjoyed the latest piece! It was just a silly idea but I had a lot of fun making it, especially with rendering dear Ruza's lovestruck face, so good to know you enjoy it as much as I do lmao 😂 In general though, I'm honestly delighted you like her and think about her so much!!! I seriously didn't count on people having so much affection for her, but I am beyond grateful that you and a handful of others indeed do 💙✨️

But anyways!!! You and a couple of others asked the same question, and I am more than happy to answer! I think I can imagine what your guess might be as to the origin of Ruza's new scars, and you might be half right, at least. The one on her lip came from a certain church-goer's blade after the blood moon rises, with no thanks to Ruza's ailing heart making her hesitate in the conflict. Ordinarily, a regular person couldn't hope to land a blow on a seasoned hunter so easily, but it was certainly not an ordinary situation. The fact that her outfit has changed and the badge of her creed from her scarf is now missing are also both consequences of that same, sad state of affairs.

But the scars on Ruza's eye were actually not acquired until her second hunt, and the cause of which was a lot more mundane, for a hunter at least.

She was unable to leave the dream the first time after completing her hunt, despite asking to and wanting quite dreadfully to be set free, and was thus dragged right back to square one to start all over again. This time around, she took her first foray into the Hunter's Nightmare, which to be frank was a little more dangerous than she had initially prepared for; and while trying to acquire her Beasthunter Saif, she was ambushed by a beastclaw hunter. It was something of a challenging fight for her, particularly because she had no more vials at her disposal and was already worn down from the road she took to get there. Lucky for her, she is still a force to be reckoned with. Unlucky for her, she suffered a blow to the face among several other injuries in the process of taking that hunter down, the scars of which still remain! However, she was aided by a ✨️mysterious cooperator✨️ that was drawn to the skirmish and who ends up being revealed to be extremely important later on. So while the cause of these scars were mundane, the aftermath definitely was not!
