#personal#fun fact i straight up skipped anything that was from the movie#it's the price of that movie being so popular if you type in my name anywhere it's the FIRST thing that comes up#i came first!!!! i was born before the movie!!!! that movie owes me royalties!!!!!#other fun fact: i was the only person in my ap french class who hadn't watched that movie#cuz after the ap exam there were still some weeks left so the class was like 'oh let's watch a movie'#and someone suggested 'amélie' and everyone was like 'nah we've all seen it' and i was like 'i haven't'#despite it literally being my name#and it's here i should point out that i was the youngest in that class cuz at my school freshmen were not allowed to take ap classes#but since i'm a native french speaker and had just come from a french school admin made an exception and let me take the class directly#rather than go through some nonsense honors course that they all knew i wouldn't need#so my status as both The Baby of the classroom as well as having the name of a movie i was the only person to have not seen#sealed the deal and we watched that movie#it's good. it's not my favorite movie by far or even my favorite french movie#(honestly that's probably la grande vadrouille) but it's good

Got tagged by @andresylupin (i’m always writing “gentlemanlupin” and then don’t understand why it doesn’t work woops XD) to list seven comfort movies of mine, so here we go!
- Kuzco : ok it was VERY hard to pick one Disney because there are SO MANY I watch very often and love like Tangled and Ratatouille and Mary Poppins and ugh so hard ! But Kuzco is probably the craziest lightest and funniest and bestest and overall the most conforting one <3
- Astérix et les douze travaux : yes. I know. this one. absoluty. by. heart. That’s all.
- Le tour du monde en 80 jours : just like the two previous one, i always watch this one with my sisters and i know it pretty much by heart and that’s why all these films are comforting, cause it’s associated with so many fun memories and laughter and good times with my sisters !
- Harry Potter (1 to 3 cause I wouldn’t call the other ones “comforting” XD). Because it’s magical and great and well you know... Harry Potter :’)
- Howl’s Moving Castle : Ok so again it was sooooooo hard to pick just one Ghibli, to be honest I really hesitated between this one and Ponyo and Kiki, but this one is the first Ghibli I’ve ever watched in my life so I have a special bond to it, also the soundtrack is the best and it reminds me when I used to listen to it in the bus with my best friend, and also when we played it together (she playing the piano and I the violin) (and also it totally makes me think of that very special person jshdkhjdds)
- Sherlock Holmes (WB) : God how I LOVE these movies they’re just SO PERFECT and yup. That’s all. I love Sherlock Holmes and this movie is just witty and fun and I have a great time watching it everytime and I should totally watch it again right now cause it’s been a long time
- La Septième Compagnie (and also La grande Vadrouille) : I hesitated for this one buuuuuuuuuuuuut come on i’m french and here they broadcast it EVERY. SINGLE. SUMMER. I’m not kinding, every single one. And I used to watch these films when I was spending a week of holidays with my grandparents so I remember laughing so hard and I still do when I watch it it’s pure gold honestly and now I introduces my little sister to it and she loves it to so yeah... :’) best movies
