surprisingly enough,,,, I don't really read fanfics that often, so I don't have too many authors that I can think of off the top of my head (´-﹏-`；) but I shall give you my faves, along with my personal favourites from the fics that they've written!!!!!

starting off strong with @sohyuki, a childe kisser extraordinaire (albeit one who's eternally in denial lol):

mint is a very, very eloquent writer and I simply adore the exquisite vocabulary that she uses to word her stories!!!!!! the way she portrays childe's volatile personality is so beautifully worded that i am forever left rattling my cage bars bc of it (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`) my fave childe fic of hers definitely has to be this one, but do check out her other works!!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT

next up is @xzho-writes, the sun to my moon!!!

there is something SO!!!!! ENTRANCING!!!!!!!! abt how ten writes childe. I simply cannot verbalise it. well I could but it'd be in keyboard smash and it wouldn't make sense to you so let's stick with verbal communication HAHAHAA. I literally cannot choose a favourite so here, have ten's whole masterlist for childe!!!! I wholeheartedly recommend every single fic in this post and I can and WILL reread these over and over DONT TEST ME

I was a byeol-ssi stan before we became friends and when I tell you there is such a lovely grace to the way she writes??? it's simply beautiful to read and I cannot stress how much I enjoy reading her work. my personal favourite childe fics are this one and this.

fun fact: I actually never cried while reading fanfics prior to stumbling across her work and ten's, but more often than not I end up sniffling or straight up bawling silently into my pillow when I read their childe fics. THEY'RE BOTH JUST THAT GOOD BRO

OOOOOOOH, how could I fucking choose :'))) let's try:

1 - favorite episode: ep 10

was a really close call with ep 12 bc I just love beach episodes & that's when untwo get together too, but ep 10 was just SO cathartic after all the pain, and the first time we start really seeing khaithird's potential as a couple. it's just such a lovely ep :)))

2 - favorite scene: untwo's confession

so for me what makes untwo SUCH a good couple & my absolute fave, is that despite being only the secondary ship with a very short screentime, they had SUCH impactful moments, and the confession scene at the back of the theater???? UTTER PERFECTION. not only is the emotion there & the scene is SO heartaching, but the acting was phenomenal from both white & earth, the door un is holding between him & two as symbolism of the gap between them is an amazing idea, and just the confirmation that this ship is really happening, un FINALLY revealing his undying love & devotion for two while two rejects him... this is one of my all-time favorite scenes, and then it's followed by two coming to rescue un one scene later??? PERFECTION!!! also I could never choose just one scene for khaithird bc I just love all of them :'))) and untwo also have another favorite scene of mine that's of course two running after un & them finally getting together on that pier... SO FUCKING GOOD!!!

3 - did you watch any of the movies referenced on the show?

I had already watched 10 things I hate about you & eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, but I'm actually planning on watching my girl (the noina & jeab reference that's the most central to the show) very soon! also I'm sure I'll watch dear wakanda eventually bc I watch quite a lot of thai cinema :) but it'd be so fun to do a theory of love movie marathon & watch all of the movies referenced in it!!!

hi! this was directly inspired by tickly-tuft's fic gentle persuasion, which is still a fave of mine to this day! i thought the setting was perfect and i also have no more original ideas zsjkfhjks so i put a lil spin on it (i hope thats ok tt!!) please enjoy yet another phantom thief au fic, this time from ouma’s perspective!

Ouma Kokichi never got caught. And if he did, he always found a way out.

Those words repeated in his mind like a mantra as he sat with wrists cuffed to the table and ankles fettered to the legs of the chair. They echoed again and again, but as time continued to pass it was getting more and more difficult to believe his own lies. The agency wasn't playing around this time. It appeared that they had invested in some new toys, some of which were constructed with seemingly impossible locks that even a professional like Ouma couldn't get out of. After tinkering with them for awhile, he got bored and decided to just wait for the detective instead.

The sound of clinking metal clinking rang throughout the empty interrogation room whenever he made the slightest movement. He had been sitting there alone for what felt like hours, so he was starting to get a bit restless. Being a prisoner was boring without a guard there to toy with.

Luckily, he didn't have to wait much longer. The door finally opened, revealing a serious looking Saihara who seemed less than pleased to see his arch rival in his chambers once again.

Ouma flashed him a flirtatious grin and readied his arsenal of comebacks. The best part was about to begin.

"Afternoon, Saihara-chan," he sang in a honey sweet voice. "Or is it evening now? I've been waiting here for soooooooo long. I thought my beloved detective had forgotten about me. Huhuuu..." he conjured up a few tears while giving him the biggest puppy dog eyes he could muster.

"It's been twenty minutes," Saihara stated, unfazed by Ouma's theatrics. "I had to finish up some paperwork. You really made a mess of things today."

Ouma shrugged. "Wasn't my fault your officers can't tap dance."

"We had to call in an expert from China to deactivate the lasers, Ouma."

"At least it wasn't boring, right?"

Saihara sighed and rubbed his eyes. He seemed more ragged than usual. Ouma would’ve felt guilty if he wasn’t so damn stubborn about pulling all-nighters to solve his cases.

"Can you please make this easy for me today? I'm tired. I was up all last night doing research."

Ouma recoiled, trying to mime the action of clutching his heart without the use of his hands.

"Is my beloved detective involved with another thief? I'm heartbroken, Shumai! How could you do such a thing?!"

He received a deep sigh in response.

"Alright, I guess we'll have to do this the hard way."

In an unexpected move, Saihara walked towards the bound thief and stood behind him. Ouma tried turning his head to see where he was going (and what he was doing), but Saihara was standing at a weird angle out of his line of vision.

He opened his mouth to speak, but all that came out with a breathy, panicked gasp.

The feeling of two pairs of hands patting both of his sides, moving up and down from underarms to calves, made him jump at each point of contact. Ouma gritted his teeth, choking back high pitched vocalizations in an effort to speak.

"Nnnngh! Huh, huh, hey!! What are you doing?!"

"Making sure you don't have any dirty tricks up your sleeves before I interrogate you."

"Mmmh!! I don't!!"

The hands continued to explore, gently tapping against his chest while Ouma squirmed as much as he could while trapped in place. Fortunately, Saihara seemed ignorant to his suffering for now, but he knew he wouldn't be able to hold it in much longer...

"Come ooooon! They took all my gear already! You don't have to-aaaha!" He muffled the last cry as much as he could, but the little accidental flutters against his thighs and hips were really beginning to get to him. He wanted to scream when Saihara tried pulling off one of his shoes and brushed against the top of his foot. One finger snuck into the side, seeking out gadgets and doohickeys that Ouma usually had on help to aid his escapes. His touch was soft and cautious, and it tickled bad.

"Stop squirming so much, you're making this harder."

"Then stop touching me-eeehe!"

That was it; the breaking point. Saihara froze, taken aback by the sudden uncharacteristic squeal Ouma had just let out. The thief cursed himself internally, scrambling to think of a way to move past the situation.

"Saihara-chan is such a perv... you know, if you wanted to do a cavity search that badly, you could've just asked..."

He thought the innuendo would be enough to throw him off, since it usually was, but the detective had discovered something new and nothing could stop him from investigating further. Ouma couldn't see him, and for the next several seconds he found himself on edge. Inhaling sharply, forgetting to exhale... until he gasped again, quite loudly this time, when Saihara gently poked his sides.

"You're ticklish," he whispered to him. Ouma could hear the smirk in his voice. Blunt denial was all he could think of in defense.

"Hmm? Don't know what you're talking about, Mister Detective, but maybe instead of focusing on me you should be going after my associ-AAAAH!"

The screech was caused by an abrupt pinch on his lower side. He would've crunched himself sideways if his wrists hadn't been shackled in front of him.

"Don't change the subject," Saihara replied, moving his hands a bit faster. Ouma arched his back and wiggled from side to side as ten fingers curled into his ribcage. He broke out into maniacal laughter, unable to restrain his childlike giggles any longer. "How did I not know about this before?"

"Naahahhahaooo! Get AHAHAHAHAFF!!"

"Where's the Monet painting you stole today?"

"Whahaat!?!"

"I know you still have it. It wasn't under the floorboards like last time. What did you do with it?"

"Mmmgnnhhh-GAHAHAHAHAHA! Stahahahhap Shuichi!!!"

It wasn't often that he used his first name, but Ouma's mind was in shambles and that was the first thing he clung to. He was trying to focus on fighting against the tickly sensations, which meant less effort towards making coherent speech. What was making it harder was listening to Saihara quietly chuckling next to his ear, as if he were having the time of his life torturing Ouma.

"Well?" he asked, finally pausing after god knows how long.

"I told you... I don't have it... NONOONOOOOO! Not there not thehehehere!!"

The thief was borderline screaming. Electric jolts slammed into his brain as Saihara tickled the hollows of his arms. It was the most intense sensation yet. He would’ve broken both arms if it meant getting away.

"You always tell me you're a liar, how do i know if you're telling the truth now?"

"I dropped it on my way out!! Pleaeheeheese STOOOP!!"

"Hmm... alright, I guess I believe you."

Ouma felt his hands leave his body at last, but tension kept him rigid long after. He swallowed air, trying to regain his senses after the tickle attack he'd just experienced.

"Jeez... I didn't know you were such a sadist..."

Saihara rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, the realization of what he'd done finally dawning on him.

"I'm sorry... I was a little mean, wasn't I?"

Ouma faked a frown, furrowing his brows in an ersatz display of anger.

"Utterly cruel. I'm scarred for life."

Saihara knelt beside him. His hazel eyes were warm and soft, a look only reserved for Ouma. The thief would never admit it, but that was what made him fall for the detective in the first place.

"How can I make it up to you?"

"Give me your undying, eternal devotion. And also ten million dollars."

"How about I do this and call it even?"

Before Ouma could respond, he felt Saihara lift his chin gently with two fingers, forcing him to meet his gaze. He watched him lean closer, eyelids fluttering shut, and followed suit. He felt softness against his lips and melted. There wasn't much else on his mind besides the feeling of Saihara so near and the sweetness of the kiss they shared.

All too quickly it was over. The detective pulled away and gave him a small smile before making his way towards the door. Ouma could still feel heat radiating from his face. For once, he was speechless.

"See you at the next heist," were his parting words. "Make sure to use the air vents this time, please."

He closed the door behind him and was gone. Ouma sat there for a second, still processing what just happened, before slowly slipping both wrists from loosened cuffs. His ankles followed suit, but when he stood, his stance wobbled and he had to brace himself against the wall. His fingers grazed his lips, still in disbelief.

“Maybe I should get caught more often...”

Kasia’s Festival of Fondness - Holiday Edition ♥

It's super late on Christmas Eve (which is the most important day of holiday celebrations in Poland, just a fun fact dnsjjs) or early af on Christmas Day, depends how you look at it dhsjsj and I'm kinda in a food coma and having a beer with my brother. This is such a predictable basic answer but I really love the main characters. No surprise picks here lol. first year trio my beloved...

I’ll start with Yuuji because he’s the protagonist. The best boy. First in my heart. The reasons I love him can be neatly summarized in this lil amv which is basically a compilation of all his best and cutest expressions. Look me in the eyes after watching that and tell me he’s not the most lovable thing about this whole series. You can’t do it. He’s literally so lovable what the hell

Jokes aside, the thing that draws me to Yuuji is just how unshakably kind he is. It’s in the name, Yuuji means unwavering humanity. Like Panda said during the goodwill arc, he inspires everyone around him by being this one bright point in what is established in canon as a pretty miserable way of life. He has this sensitivity and selflessness and emotional intelligence about him that is pretty rare among male protagonists imo, and he’s always trying so hard to do the right thing and do right by others even when it comes to combat and death. When he gets hurt and endures suffering (eg when he failed to save Junpei), he still does his best to keep his heart open and stay true to his principles, I find that really admirable. Also the fact that his execution is set out as a real possibility at the start of the story makes everything about him more dear to me... characters who are living on borrowed time mess me up. Not to use a meme from 2014 but Yuuji is honestly a cinnamon roll too good to pure for the jujutsu world and I love him.

Megumi!! I know I said Yuuji was best boy, but Megumi is also best boy first in my heart. They’re both best boys. Best boys together. Best boyfriends, if you will

 It’s hard to put my finger on exactly why I adore him to such a degree, especially in a non spoilery way. He seems kind of gruff and standoffish but he gets embarrassed super easily... he considers himself to be sensible and serious but he shares one braincell with the rest of the trio... he looks like a standard emo shonen rival but he turns out to be so supportive and such a genuine good friend. He’s got depth, he’s got layers. Like an onion. I do think he shines brightest when he’s acting as a foil to Yuuji. It’s so fascinating to me how they seek the same goals but they learn different lessons and take different roads to get there, and how even with their differing outlooks they still hold a deep respect for each other’s approaches. All the time I think about that one interview calling him the heroine of the story, I’m just gonna link it because I won’t be able to summarize it succinctly. Megumi steals the show for me every scene he’s in, particularly during the Origin of Obedience arc, and my affection for him knows no bounds.

And of course I must express my undying and eternal love for Nobara. I know this is breaking the rules again but Nobara is ALSO first in my heart... the undisputed best girl of the series. “I love myself when I’m all dressed up and pretty and I love myself when I’m strong, I’m Kugisaki Nobara” hello??? “You’re a bad match for me” HELLO??? She’s so iconic, and as much as I like softer feminine female characters with inner strength, I lose my mind whenever Nobara gets the chance to be snappy and aggressive and totally unhinged. I love it when shonens let their female characters be actual people.

But also underneath all that Nobara is still really caring and so ride or die for her friends, and it honestly melts my heart.  Her little speech to Yuuji about how she only has so many seats free in her heart but that some people like him just bring their own chair and sit down... there’s a post saying this is maybe the sweetest way op has ever heard someone say ‘I care about you’ and I agree. It’s such a wonderful little moment that says so much about her character and her friendship with the boys. I love it when shonens let their main trio be actual friends. Anyway words cannot describe the depth of my love for best girl Nobara, Queen Of Shonen Jump (she shares the crown with Power from chainsaw man tee hee).

Gojou and Getou are definitely on my list of top faves too, but literally every single thing that really sells me on both their characters is a massive manga spoiler so I won’t elaborate there. Just know that I love them.

heyooo everyone !! i had been thinking of doing a december awards thing for a while, and then a day or two ago i hit a landmark in my time on tumblr: 10k. and that settled my internal struggles of whether or not i should do one, and here we are !!!

An Ugly Wall of Text from Your Average Inspirit

Hello friends, it seems as if my impulsive posts are more common than my carefully structured and articulated ones these days.

Despite being deep into Week 2 of UC right now, the past happenings with the Infinite members have pushed me to especially look for an outlet to unleash my somewhat “rampant” emotions.

Yesterday, I discovered that basically all the Infinite members (besides Sungyeol at the moment), went on an “unfollow Hoya on Instagram and delete all pictures of him and OT7” spree. As a foreword, I am not saying that I know exactly what happened, nor do I want to pose any viable answers. I simply want to talk about how this makes me feel.

First, Infinite has grown significantly, no, immensely since I first started following them around 2011. It is now almost 2018. To put this concisely, I loved them back then, and I love them even more today. I have matured 7 years since then, and so have they. There were admittedly times in between the years where I was too busy with school, too tired, just too caught up with life, to even pay much attention to them. But never once did I take their existence for granted. I had full faith (or maybe just too much hope) that they would always be there for as long as they could.

During the summer of this year, I began creating an “Infinite Appreciation Post”, which I never exactly got around to finishing due to various reasons (procrastination being the biggest one). Here is the rough draft that I had composed:

After much procrastination, I’ve finally sat down and decided to create this! My journey with Infinite literally grew alongside with my Korean music roots way back in the day. With the passing of their 7th anniversary, and their unfortunately prolonged contract discussion, I found the need to make this post hurriedly. Without further ado…

If you’ve watched Infinite enough on variety shows and other things, you would know that these boys are absolute goofballs. Honestly there are so many memorable moments that have made me laugh/cry, but they’re mostly from their earlier days because, yes, I admit, it was extremely hard to keep up these past 2-ish years with school & such.

I admit that Kpop is not really my preference anymore, but when it was, Infinite’s music blew me away. Their sound back in the day was distinct, almost a sort of 80’s style twist, with consistent synths, well-structured progression, and vocals that gave a strong impact. Their songs were, and still are, nothing short of catchy. My all-time favorite Infinite song will most probably be Shot. There is not one second in that song that doesn’t sound like absolute perfection. I think it is safe to say that as of mid-2014, probably starting with Back (or maybe if we go even farther, say Destiny era??), Infinite’s tracks have transformed into mixtures of EDM and orchestral bravados(?). If anything, it is quite unconventional, quite bold, but nonetheless still  Infinite-esque, and of course, catchy.

Infinite’s (Korean) discography is probably one of the only Kpop boy band discographies that I know like the back of my hand. They have created real masterpieces.

 Performances

Infinite’s stage presence is… indescribable. Just watch for yourself. These boys know what they’re doing, and they know that they’re good at it. Whether it be intense dance routines, emotional ballad renditions, or simply a stellar title song performance, Infinite will really, truly, never fail to captivate the audience (which I have been blessed to be a part of twice back in 2013 & 2014). Also, I’d like to give special recognition to  their Immortal Songs Performances because those are on a whole other level. I always wonder, idols, or genuine artists??? Or BOTH?

Who doesn’t love to ship a few beautiful bromances now and then? Honestly, I feel like these boys are so close that they can probably pull off an OTP with each and every member. BUT, here are some of legendary ones:

 Little did I know that a month and a half later, my world would fall apart. The key point I am trying to get at here is that, with all my heart’s devotion, with an undying burn, I supported Infinite even as the years trickled by. I missed them, cherished them, waited for them, believed in them, and thanked them. Thanked them thousands and thousands of times in my head. I knew how much it meant for a 2nd generation kpop group like them to still be alive & whole since debut, and I was so eternally thankful for that.

 I say this all the time, but I never in the slightest expected a member to leave. Not after everything they’ve been through and everything they’ve said. But knowing their personalities and their “brotherhood”, I think it’s safe to say that we all assumed they separated on more or less good terms. Especially since this decision took 3 months to come to, they probably all discussed this extensively and came to an agreement, right…?

And now, the members have explicitly shown a somewhat bold reaction by unfollowing Hoya & deleting pictures of him and the group as whole from their Instagram.

I’ll say this blatantly: I get that Hoya is no longer a part of Infinite or has any association with them, but you cannot delete photos of him and the entire group as if the past seven years never happened.

I don’t know why or who (if anyone specific) was behind this, and I don’t think anyone will ever really know. Whether the members were forced to do this, and if they, in fact, still talk to Hoya on personal terms, we will never know.

However, I don’t think cutting public ties like that fixes anything. It just made me feel even more conflicted.

 The faith that I had in Infinite was overwhelming. Pardon my excessiveness, but no matter how petty or immature I sound, I want to make it clear that, yes, I fell right into their “We’ll last forever together” trap. Because why wouldn’t I? Is it me being naïve or is the world just being cruel? I think it’s the latter.

The first major emotion I feel is sadness. Pure depression. I wish every single day that all of this was just a bad nightmare. That all of this was just a big accident and that Hoya will return one day. I wish with all my heart that all seven of them are still together. That’s all I want. Together. All 7. Not 6. 7 is everything, everything is 7. But I know that will never happen, and that makes me indescribably sad.

Next, I feel like I’ve been tricked. I feel like I’ve blindly believed in the lies of boys that kept promises they couldn’t keep. I should’ve seen this coming, considering the trends of all the 2nd gen. kpop groups these days. But at the same time, no, I had way too much faith in them. I told myself they’d never end up like the rest of them. That Infinite was different. But they weren’t. They weren’t, and aren’t, different in the slightest.  I feel almost stupid, for putting so much faith into them. Why did I invest so much hope into their future? Was it even necessary? Why did I fall in so deep, when I was bound to get cut anyway? On the other hand, a perfectly reasonable answer: because I am their fan.

Lastly, I feel conflicted. I’m wavering between the urge to scream and cry, or maybe do both?? WHY? Just why? Why did this have to happen to my ultimate group? Why did I have to watch the world fall apart on August 29th, 2017? All I really know is that I miss Infinite. I miss all of them, and even though I kept repeating that phrase throughout the summer while they were taking ages to renew their contracts, little did I know that I would be saying it for the rest of eternity now.

In all honesty, I actually had a fleeting moment of thought in which I almost wanted to give up on them altogether. Not just Hoya, but Infinite, too, just all of them. I wanted to drop this Inspirit gig and completely convert to following singer-songwriters and real musicians like I basically already do. Infinite was my last kpop straw. I never ever, ever, thought I would ever think like that. I almost began to fear myself, because how could I think to throw away everything so quickly, over Instagram followings???

 In conclusion, I am clearly still not really okay. It’s been a little over a month since Hoya left, but my world is still tipped upside down. I’m still really lost, I still really miss Infinite, and I just…. I’m still really traumatized.

  But I’m sure, just like anything and anyone else, I will get over this with time. Time will fade the lines between anger and sadness and I’ll think of this event as just a bad day. Or at least I hope. I’ll get through this. And if you’re in the same boat as me, don’t worry, you will, too! And if you thought I was just plain crazy throughout this entire rant and just judged me the entire way through, it’s okay! Think what you want, but all that really tells me is that you’re not a true fan anyway :’). True fans can’t pick up their heads and smile and tell the rest of the world to get over it that fast. So please, let my lamenting self be. It’ll be okay, one day.
