Hello !! Welcome to the June Doe Ride The Cyclone event !!

This is a 30 Day Art (of any sorts !!) event that runs throughout June, however I will rb any posts with the prompts until mid July.

(Rules, Prompt List, & such are under the cut.)

Rules:

1. Absolutely no NSFW of ANY kind, the rtc kids are, in fact, kids.

2. Please tag this account in any posts (on here) that you make w the prompts !! I wanna see them !! :D

3. I'll rb posts made with the prompts from after June up until July, but after that I'm done w this acc for the year shsh

is the gushing for magical girls anime actually any good? i checked out the manga a while ago, but uh, dropped it when the really young one showed up. did the anime drop that angle, or is it just kind of uncomfortably present?

I absolutely understand the hesitation. I'd argue the anime feels hornier, cuz there's a lot of stuff the manga sorta censors tastefully that the anime doesn't. But, generally they're good about Alice-chan. She's not really sexualized but she is kinda present during the two ageplay-adjacent chapters. Chapter 26 primarily I believe. Chapter 11 might be questionable to you. NeroAlice uses her powers to play nurse with Utena as means to heal her cold. Nothing really happens and Alice is never like, doing anything that's actually bad. It's just a dumb 'plays nurse' thing. (episodes 5 and 6 of the anime I think?)

I think once you start getting into the back portion of the manga (and episodes 7+ of the anime) it's really strong and great but I mean, the core concept is a rough one so it could just not be for you (and that's ok!) but unless something new has released, Alice-chan is mostly left alone when weird shit happens.

kenita, geita au where kenjaku a (shady) well-known doctor is seen having a much younger man hanging off his arm & it's the very popular pastor suguru. there's rumors that they'll be engaged soon & it's true. but also a lie bc they're using each other

kenjaku is having fun w/ stringing suguru along and suguru will kill kenjaku after they marry. and of course yuji is stuck in the middle. or rather he CHOOSES to get stuck in the middle. he knows suguru is shady but he can't let him die by kenjaku's hands

yuji does his best to get close to suguru & suguru thinks it's adorable, thinks that yuji has a lil crush on him so he indulges him. let's yuji come closer. it's sad that suguru will have to make him an orphan twice over but oh well. needs must, right?

kenjaku sees them slowly get closer. what is lil tiger doing, hm? & when he sees suguru's slow growing affection for yuji, kenjaku is DELIGHTED. his baby boy truly is so adorable, isn't he? giving him yet another thing to take away from suguru, his tiger is so precious

suguru thinks yuji has a crush on him, thinks that his facade of a caring pastor is what yuji thinks of him. so he's caught off-guard when kenjaku asks him if he has anything to tell yuji during a dinner w/ all three of them.

kenjaku "gently" says that it's better that he tell yuji now instead of yuji finding out from him and suguru finds that this is actually upsetting him. he doesn't want to lose yuji after all. coldly tells kenjaku that there's nothing for him to say and kenjaku grins

kenjaku hums then lets it go. he can do this again. yuji is eating in silence. when he finally talks, he tells kenjaku to knock it off. he's making mr. suguru uncomfortable. and yuji tells him to break off the engagement too. there's no need to actually go through w/ it is there?

kenjaku tells yuji that it's up to suguru to break it off. do you want to break it off, suguru? and suguru finally realizes that he's in a trap. yuji's eyes are pleading, suguru knows that yuji wants him to be safe. kenjaku's expression is gentle but his eyes are mocking

and suguru wants to beat the shit out of kenjaku bc he knows that kenjaku is mocking him bc kenjaku already knows his answer. the taste of the food yuji cooked is gone, replaced w/ bitterness. no, i don't want to break it off. and seeing yuji look devastated hurts suguru

the dinner is cut short and yuji drags suguru into an empty. demands why he didn't break off the engagement, begs suguru to break it off bc suguru will get hurt. and suguru feels such softness for him, precious boy, how did this kid come from that man?

yuji tells suguru that if he stays… he might did die. and suguru feels cold. no way. kenjaku knew what he was planning this whole time? or. did kenjaku agree to them dating to kill him? suguru doesn't know and it doesn't actually matter. his plan is still to kenjaku after all

kenjaku's eyes were mocking & it fucking rankled, suguru won't accept the blow to his pride. he'll kill this fucker on their wedding day & take yuji w/ him. yuji's such a sweet boy, kenjaku doesn't deserve him. so suguru will take him. he'll take care of yuji

suguru takes what he wants. and if he wants-does want-yuji then he'll have him. but now that suguru knows that kenjaku will kill him, he notices that something's… off. between him and yuji. suguru can't put his finger on it but it's heavy in the air

eh, it doesn't matter. he'll figure it out some point. so the engagement party will be planned. yuji getting more and more anxious and getting sick bc of it and suguru and kenjaku trying to kill each other. kenjaku poisons suguru's food and drink and suguru trying to shoot him

(dunno if choso is here. bc i'm (sorta) an anime-only and also bc choso being here makes it suck less for yuji lol. finally got someone that loves and will protect him genuinely. though it would be funny if he was here bc choso doesn't like suguru either lmao he'll try to convince yuji to leave w/ him, to leave suguru to die lmaooo he doesn't care abt this lying-ass pastor, little brother, leave our father and that pastor to kill each other. and choso is touched that yuji is sweet enough to care abt how this pastor dies to help)

(…suguru finally managing to kill kenjaku and yuji goes from a dad that loves him but hurts him to a dad that loves him but hurts him. that's another point to why choso shouldn't be here. yuji being caged is unavoidable!! he can't escape yuji will never date, will never be married bc his dad won't let him. bc his dad loves him too much to let go. lil tiger, sweet boy, precious boy, don't you love me too, your father?)

(…are kenjaku and suguru related somehow? for the double whammy of incest! either distantly or closer?? distant cousins or closer cousins? a cousin that was cast out? or his uncle that was cast out?)

as the preparations for the wedding are happening. yuji gets sicker and sicker and suguru worries. he checks on yuji, even dotes on him. he's marrying kenjaku but if there was anyone here now, they'd think that he's marrying yuji w/ how he acts

suguru finds that he cares for yuji, is surprised by it. but that makes sense bc yuji cares for him, wants him safe. so he takes care of him, will cook and bring him food. will make sure he has clean clothes and asks him to take a walk w/ him. he can return yuji's care

so suguru uncomfortable and get angry when he gets slowly pushed away from yuji by kenjaku. he deserves to see yuji! and kenjaku just hums. airily asks suguru, do you deserve to see him? a man of faith such as you. the man who'll make him an orphan again. and suguru growls

suguru tells kenjaku that he doesn't deserve yuji either. that he doesn't love him, doesn't care for him. that he can't give yuji the love he deserves. and kenjaku laughs, it's not a loud laugh, it's low and so very indulgent.

kenjaku steps closer, voice dropping lower, says that suguru can't give yuji the love he deserves either. looks into suguru's eyes as he says that they're the same. that they're liars, that they love yuji but will hurt him.

suguru wants to protest but he doesn't bc he knows kenjaku is right. kenjaku continues, he wouldn't let suguru take yuji away anyway. yuji is his, he made yuji so yuji belongs to him and suguru knows that it's wrong. feels… that there's something strange abt the words

kenjaku ends the conversation by telling suguru that he'll be the only one taking care of yuji from now on. like how it was before and how it should be. he smiles at suguru and walks off. kenjaku locks yuji's door and suguru knows that that's not right. not right at all

and when he finally sees that yuji's door is open, suguru takes the chance to see yuji. and what he sees is… it doesn't look like anything suspicious at first. kenjaku sitting on the bed next to yuji. but then kenjaku wraps his hand around yuji's nape

and kenjaku pulls yuji closer. and yuji goes, he's frowning. suguru knows that he's upset bc there's sadness and guilt and shame in that expression and suguru's heart aches for yuji. kenjaku presses a kiss against yuji's cheek then kisses his other cheek.

suguru already knows this is strange. there's something so sweet abt it. kenjaku leans down, presses a kiss… against yuji's lips. and despite yuji's expression, despite how tightly he's gripping his bed sheet, yuji relaxes. his sigh is loud in the silence

suguru sees how yuji's shoulders relax, how his grip on the bed sheet loosens. suguru breathes in and… he runs. kenjaku opens his eyes. what will that boy do now? he lifts the sheet and pushes yuji down. precious boy, giving him a new plaything, kenjaku will give him a reward

suguru hides. he needs to fucking think. he and kenjaku never slept together and that was fine w/ him bc the thought disgusted him. but he should have cared that he never saw kenjaku's room, that when he was invited to yuji's, it was clean and as if it was rarely used

suguru remembers how yuji acts around kenjaku, quiet and withdrawn, remembers how kenjaku acts around yuji, doting and carefree. it made sense, why did it all make sense? suguru is disgusted and furious, at kenjaku and at himself for not noticing. but he's also… jealous

and he's disgusted and furious at himself more bc he can't help it. bc can he have yuji like that? wholly, body and soul, past and future. an indelible mark that can be hidden but can never be erased. precious boy, can i have your remains like he does? precious boy, answer me

(…if suguru and kenjaku are related that would be so funny. suguru is ok w/ marrying and kissing and killing his cousin or even uncle but disgusted w/ kenjaku abt yuji. and kenjaku is amused, you're ok w/ incest but not ok w/ incest at the same time?? ok, you lil weirdo.

then kenjaku grins, a vicious victorious thing and suguru is immediately on edge. kenjaku sweetly says you're against me and yuji bc you want that w/ yuji. wants to be called father and buy him clothes to dress him up in. to slip into his bedroom whenever you want.

to kiss him and not be refused, not be rejected and at suguru's furious eyes, kenjaku's grin widens. his precious boy, giving him something so very lovely. how kenjaku loves him so! kenjaku waves dismissively, but if you want that, you'll have to kill me & you can't can you?

kenjaku snickers and leaves. he'll give yuji a reward later. he won't kill suguru. at least not yet. suguru was still fun to yank around after all. and is suguru manages to kill him? well, that's how it goes. kenjaku will make sure to cut off some of his fingers at least)

(suguru thinking he found prey, not knowing he's standing in front of the gun. yuji trying to save him, not knowing that he's giving kenjaku another bullet. suguru thinking he's indulging a lovesick kid, not knowing that he'll fall in love)

(w/ suguru being a pastor, the incest and the jealousy over the incest and the attempted murders, this is a gothic au, isn't it? yuji gets sick and gets attic wife-d so it's perfect!)

i dont really think treating bulls, cattle and horses well outside or rodeo eliminates the harm that rodeo itself often causes to the animals.. so many of them die or get really hurt cause theyre genuinely uncomfortable and scared and want the person off, its just not a safe nor smart thing to be doing.

it's probably not a safe nor smart thing to be doing, but for the bulls, they use different bulls for every rider and for them it lasts about 2 seconds maybe 4 if the guys good or 8 if the mans great. The bull has him on for a really short amount of time and then they are (or should be) taken care of really well the rest of the time. They take care of the bulls and give them 8 seconds of something they don't like and that's about it if the owners good to them. If animals are dying from being in rodeos then it could also come from how they're treated outside the rodeo, it's really only bulls i think that get the most hurt in a rodeo and half the time he hurts the guy more, if animals are dying from being in a rodeo then it's probably an animal abusing rodeo or the animals came from an animal abusing farm or something. Rodeos usually take good precaution to make sure that their animals are as comfortable as possible before that one couple second strand they might have like- a guy on their back that they buck off Immediately.

the bulls might be scared or uncomfortable but rodeo bulls were essentially raised to be in rodeos, like how a racehorse is raised to be in the races, certain bulls are sorta raised to be in rodeos. That's obviously not to say that the rodeo raised bulls can't get injured or something because they definitely can but then it's worse for the people who brought them in. Why would they put a bull or animals just in general that's bringing them money into a rodeo where they know they're gonna get hurt, or something along those lines. Always go in with the expectation of someone human or animal getting at least maybe a scratch and maybe a broken bone on the bull riders, but when the expectation is for the bull to die then they pull out of the rodeo and let the bull retire. If it's a good rodeo or a good owner then if the bull isn't up to or doesn't want to do the rodeo at all then they won't make him, if it's a returning bull then he knows he's gonna have a guy on his back and all he's gotta do is get him off super quick and then everythings over until their next rodeo

i feel like I've repeated it an annoying amount of times throughout this but once again if it's a good rodeo or a good owner then the animals shouldn't die, getting hurt is always a possibility and that's why there are vets as well as doctors at rodeos. Of course I'm not the worlds most educated but growing up watching rodeos with family members who were in rodeos and being in one myself, i do think i know what I'm talking about to some extent. Obviously you don't have to believe a word i say and I'm not expecting you to go "Oh all rodeos are great!" After this because they're not, there are rodeos who treat their animals horribly and those are the ones that deserve criticism, but they are also the ones that get the most out there. Of course there are also articles supporting mine and yours claims and I've read both so i know where you're coming from and i understand why people don't like rodeos but like i said, bad animal abusing rodeos are always the ones that get the most attention because they're bad, because they abuse their animals, and they deserve that bad attention but then they shine a horrible light over rodeos in general and that isn't really fair

GIANT CHALLENGE

the last thing they remember was chasing a butterfly through a bush in the park.

---

the first thing they become aware of is the uncomfortable sensation that their ears are filled with liquid. they instinctively want to shake their head to clear it, but they can't quite locate the muscles they need to do so. their body feels vague, like a collection of dull sensory inputs floating without form around their consciousness.

thinking is hard too. they're beginning to realize a few things (wet, under water? heavy water, can't move), but the realizations come sluggishly and take effort to bring into focus.

they've had enough of this, they decide. they attempt to pull their senses together with some success - they can tell they're curled up in a ball, suspended in some kind of fluid. it's not like anything they've ever felt before. they've taken long naps before and this is almost like that, but they can't stretch out their body to the sun and yawn and shake it out like they're supposed to. it barely feels like they exist as a concept, let alone a living creature.

but they don't give up. they draw in closer, finally shaping their awareness into their body as it should be. their eyes are still closed, their muscles too heavy to force them open, but they can begin to make out sounds beyond their own heartbeat vibrating through the surrounding liquid. high pitched tones, bubbling fluid, air rushing through a narrow passage.

the click of footsteps on a hard floor.

mew still doesn't know where they are, but a minute shiver of discomfort ripples through their body.

someone begins to speak. it's impossible to make out any words, but there are two distinct voices - one calm, one agitated.

the woman scribbles something on her clipboard, circling the containment pod with a scrutinizing eye.

"we still need to run a few more tests before we can begin the trial."

the second scientist, a young man with early grey hair, lets out a nervous scoff as he follows closely behind.

"we'll be lucky if it doesn't breach containment first. you didn't see the footage of the fight it put up when they found it."

"it may be capable of catastrophic damage, but we're well equipped to keep it under control. you need to focus on the task at hand."

amidst their words, the steady beep of a monitor begins to pick up speed.

"... it's becoming agitated. administer more of the serum and get back to work."

hours pass. days? weeks? months, maybe? time is passing by in a blur, one brief moment of consciousness bleeding into the next.

they know a few things for certain now. they've been captured by humans - team rocket? NULL? maybe. they don't remember a confrontation.

they're inside a fluid-filled machine, unable to move or even breathe, with tubes hooked up to their body that inject them with unknown substances. their psychic powers are dulled to the point of near-uselessness. occasionally, they'll feel a chill run down their spine or a strange tingle in their head as the scientists run some sort of test.

they're preparing them for something. they can't tell what it is.

the possibility of being captured had occurred to them before, but they'd never spent much time contemplating it. now, during their moments of lonely lucidity, they wonder - what will become of them?

they're… afraid. what if they don't get to play in the snow anymore, or swim at top speed and scatter a school of finneon, or…

no. it's no good thinking about bad stuff like that. they'll just have to escape, that's all.

the tingles in their brain become more frequent and more pronounced, intensifying to a sharp numbness like a limb falling asleep.

they know what the scientists are trying to do now - they intend to destroy their will, leaving behind nothing more than an obedient weapon. they've been trying to subjugate them for some time now, but their mental fortitude has withstood everything they've thrown at them so far.

so far.

they must've collected a lot of data by now. from what they could piece together from hazy conversations, the scientists are getting close to a breakthrough.

they don't think they have a lot of time left to figure this out. they'd better get out of here fast. but it'll be okay. if they just focus, if they just make one big push to escape -

"brainwaves are spiking. administer the serum."

if they just…

"another dose. this one's not going down easy."

just…

"there it goes."

one day, they wearily wonder how long they've been here.

not in this pod, but in this world. it's been some millions of years, right? they've seen the planet itself being shaped by new, primal forces of nature. civilizations have risen and collapsed. wars have ravaged the land only to be paved over and forgotten.

they've watched pokemon and humans live and die together. once in a while, they would make a friend, only to forget their faces and voices after a few short years….

they hear their monitor's beeping spike again. though they have no intention of wasting energy trying to escape, they know the scientists will sedate them soon.

they're right.

they haven't thought of fear in a while, but the undercurrent feeling of something bad that fills their thoughts is getting harder to ignore.

they're afraid, of course. they don't want to lose themselves, to become a tool of destruction for humans. they're not ashamed to admit that they're afraid of that.

but the unpleasant something doesn't go away when they acknowledge it. if anything, thinking it makes them feel worse. it feels like tiny creatures are crawling all over their skin, their stomach hurting with no way to relieve it.

their waves are beginning to spike. they're probably gonna lose consciousness soon, but they don't want their last feeling before they fall asleep again to be this.

… what if it is their last feeling?

what if they don't wake up this time? what if their final moments are these, filled with dread and uncertainty?

the fog begins to creep in, steady and oppressive.

they're… scared.

they don't want to die.

the beeping is drowned out by the sound of their own heartbeat quickening.

their husk will be used to hurt people. they don't want to hurt people - is that not why they were so lonely? to stay away, to keep the world from getting hurt?

they didn't want these powers. they didn't want to be scared of being used. they never wanted to be filled with undying light, coveted by humans who sought to harness it. they didn't - didn't want to be like this.

they didn't want to be this way.

they never asked to be made.

"if we push any more, we might cause permanent brain damage!"

"do it now!"

to live an empty life, only to have it stolen from them by the humans they tried to protect…

no.

"the pod-!"

"get back!"

they deserved better.

"get the boss on the phone!"

"but-"

"go, now!"

they didn't ask for this life, but it is theirs.

they refuse to give it up.

they open their eyes wide, and the pod explodes in a shower of glass.

the scientists foolish enough to remain in the room cower and hide behind their machines, shouting in alarm. mew coughs up the fluid in their lungs and takes their first breath, then lets out a scream of defiance.

the panels and machines of the lab begin to crunch together, contorting into unnatural shapes by the force of their telekinesis. suppressed for so long, it springs forth like a broken dam, crushing bones and metal alike.

smoke is beginning to fill the room - a broken machine must've sparked something and set off a fire. alarms flare to life, and a robotic voice calls out something about a security system. mew pays it no heed, darting under a fallen beam in a mad dash for the door.

something pierces their chest.

then another in the stomach, the leg, the nape of their neck. the security system has activated. bullets fly from the turrets mounted in the wall, locked onto their signature.

y'know this might be a weird thing to randomly post about on my sonic the hedgehog tumblr blog but fuck it, i gotta say some stuff about animals (mainly dogs because i have too many thoughts for one redundant post i should narrow in on a species)

i don't see this behaviour online but can people irl stop being gross about pet genitalia, especially dogs and stuff? like, do you think vets are pervs for touching your dog's genitals? no? okay so you can also touch them if it's for good reasons (not something sexual)

do you know how many weird looks i've gotten from people when i say i do all of george's grooming maintenance besides his full appointments? yeah, that includes touching gross stuff like his scabs, fecal residue, urine residue, paws, mouth, etc... because "wait you touch his butt? you touch where his balls used to be? that's kinda sus" DUDE HE'S MY DOG I GOTTA CLEAN HIM WTF??? like i'm not having a good time either trust me, he hates baths, but i'm going to ensure he's clean and healthy by checking his whole body for oddities especially as he gets older. this isn't weird, maybe i'm a bit extra because most people barely think about this stuff, but vet training and my love for animals means i'm gonna be extra (also he sleeps on my bed and frequently lays on my face or licks it when i'm unconscious: i can't prevent it these days but at least i can brush his teeth so i'm not THAT grossed out)

also, some animals (like aggressive large dog breeds) need desensitization training as they grow up. a black russian terrier i puppysat needed this treatment where you'd have to just touch him everywhere and if he's snappy with something like his paw or tail or genitals just desensitize him. no, not abuse and purposely torment an animal don't try to twist this into something negative, i mean condition these types of dogs when they're small so when they're 200+ pounds and have extremely dangerous biting power, they won't bite a kid's face off if they poke his butt or something. it doesn't matter if the kid's parents were neglectful or if the kid was in the wrong because if this turns into a legal battle, we all know the dog is gonna lose. sometimes this shit is a necessary precaution and when done correctly it can be so important for a dog's welfare

boots on dogs aren't just to be quirky. george wears rubber ballon-like boots not only to prevent matting/contamination when it's wet or snowy/icy outside but also for temperature reasons and salt especially. it's a fucking lifesaver, not animal abuse. same with his jackets because it's hard enough to walk him during a snowstorm: he won't shit if he's uncomfortable and that's not something either of us want to deal with. yes he has a few sweaters and a pajama but they're for short term special occasion use (and he really likes them lmao)

i think people should give their dogs vegetables more. safe ones, but it's good for them. george has allergies which means he's on a raw food diet (he gets raw duck twice a day) and in addition to his meals he likes snacks! yogurt treats, sliced veggies, some blueberries, etc etc and his dietary issues literally vanished. all those stupid kibble commercials about how "dogs crave real meat, give them that with these processed nuggets" piss me off like ITS CHEAPER (for where i live) TO JUST GET FROZEN PACKS OF MEAT??? i don't expect every dog (or cat) owner to invest time in this kind of diet for their pet but maybe they'd bite their paws and lick themselves less if they had some real food lol just sayin' and it can even limit your food waste to share some of this stuff with your pet! just make sure it's safe first

also, i sorta mentioned this before but check your damn pets. maybe not 500 times a day like i do (george has skin tags that burst sometimes it's not just my obsessive tendencies) but like how do you not see something is wrong??? if you see a lump or a cut or a bite or a bug or an irritated area or a knot DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT??? AT LEAST KEEP AN EYE ON IT??? idk it just seems weird to me when people are oblivious to their pet's health issues until it's serious

LAST THING BECAUSE I GOT BORED HALFWAY THROUGH WRITING THIS SINCE MY MEDS WORE OFF: brush your dog's fucking teeth. I DONT CARE IF THEY HATE IT BECAUSE IT'S GONNA PREVENT SO MANY POTENTIAL HEALTH THREATS AND ALSO SMALL DOGS LOSE THEIR TEETH FAST BUT IF YOU BRUSH YOU CAN DELAY THAT!!! george is 11 and has every single tooth because i brush them every week (i'd do it every day but look i don't want to die) and it does wonders. also his breath doesn't make me want to kill myself but this is also probably thanks to the cucumbers

Something I wish people sorta understood better is that you only have social acceptance to be somewhat against the norm if you are already undeniably within the norm.

Like, if a hyper privileged masculine guy wears a dress, he can play it off as just a funny joke that doesn't mean anything. Hell, he can be friendly and chill and pleasantly self-deprecating about it and people will generally sorta look past it. But if a queer or gnc guy does, it can't be played that way. And for a closeted or unknown trans woman, it might be impossible to be chill about wearing a dress.

So, when people talk about like ideal behaviour of male feminists, they ALWAYS use those hyper privileged people as their go to examples. A real man doesn't have such fragile masculinity it'd be harmed by him wearing a dress!! But what they don't get is that people who WOULD feel their masculinity harmed by wearing a dress are generally people who are afraid of the real consequences of that. Either because they're queer or trans or whatever or they have some past experience of being punished for being insufficiently masculine.

Which is a big part of the Male Feminist Problem, in so far as there is one. Male feminist icons are selected for being easy to deal with when times are good - someone who can take jokes about themselves and be comically self-deprecating, and not get anxious or have their own sorta gender identity. But it's confidence that selects for those things, not whether someone 'understands that other have it worse.' Men who have relevant experiences sometimes have things to say that being up awkward conversation, or their anxieties can make them more difficult to interact with, and so get shut out.

This applies to ableism as well. How many times have I heard someone say 'it's okay to like nerdy things like anime or games or whatever as long as you act Normal about it.' Like yes exactly - for a successful person to like some socially-appropriate anime just manages to make them look a bit more humble and relatable. But if you look obviously neurodivergent, you don't get that benefit of the doubt. And people can and will be off-put by people just because they act different to the norm.

This all leads to some shitty victim-blaming. If you're uncomfortable being gnc, it's because you can't bear to give up your privilege. People don't hate people just for liking anime, so if those people are bullying you it must be because you're acting like a creep. But it just doesn't work that way.
