as you all know, I’ve been working on a gif battle idea for the kmultiverse network! this is mainly a post to 1) remind everything that this is still a thing lol and 2) give more information.

first off, most of the information can be found on the gifbattle post itself, here. if that post, or this post doesn’t answer your question(s), please send me an ask!

the first day the gifbattle begins will be saturday, april 14th! kmultiverse will send out a post, reminding everyone of the prompt and that everyone can begin to post for that prompt -- which, by the way, is favorite concept(s). secondly, it doesn’t really matter how late the post is, either, kmultiverse will always reblog it 

although this is a gifbattle, and I did appreciate everyone who told me ahead of time they wanted to join, this is open to anyone who wants to participate. however, for those that did tell me (or tell me later on), I plan on tagging them in the weekly posts -- both as a reminder and also letting everyone know it’s time to post.

cipher on ashtray source code identified as beaufort, key is disco. the cracked cipher reads: "can you hear me, my lady? activate white rose overrides. you must protect him...knights...compromised....the holy see. saturnine."

i know you said it wasn’t that deep but i have been spiralling about the use of tar baby by Sade in the first chapter of kmgb since i read it last week! i am so excited for more whenever you are done writing :D

That’s interesting. I really only picked it to set the mood of the city, hence why I said…but I’m curious about it if you ever want to share more about why you feel that way

The fic is actually entirely finished, it’s a very lengthy one written over an entire year but the rework was extensive and done in a short time, so I’d like some distance from it which is why it’s not being posted all at once 😊

i never knew what the phrase "chuck a sickie" was until i read your fic! it made me laugh because it sounded so strange to me and i thought it was a joke or something

Wow this is just like how I found out "brumby" isn't an international term for wild horses, kmgb is filled with many such cases then. I have to admit, the entire prologue was spent setting up a very specific joke relating to Spider, but I actually forgot to write it omfg. Instead I just kept it as is hahaha, I like unfixable mistakes like that

Indeed "Chuck a sickie" was used as a joke in the fic so you aren't exactly wrong! Chuck and Chuck-ing!

loving this new kmgb so far :D there's a lot of depth to Xavier and the world already and it's really enticing. your writing style really draws me in ! curious to see where this will go.

Aww bless 🙏🙏 Xavier’s very precious I’d say, very romantic in how he engages with his surroundings, we get to spend a lot of time with him doing a lot of his mundane little things but it’s all important in the end, there’s lots more to learn about him ! 😊

Very glad to hear that on the world-building too, there is so so much more to come. I did a lot of research for it between NASA (the backbone of this story tbh) and 19th century French novels I really did not need to read just for two lines of flavour text at most lol but I hope the spirit is there!
