Luana was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She hails from an upper middle class family with ties to real estate, and was raised by a second generation Brazilian American mother, Marina. Her father walked out on her mother while she was still pregnant with Luana; forcing her to raise her alone. Nevertheless, they received financial support from her paternal grandfather, a successful real estate broker, named Marcos. Her grandmother, Belmira, played a large role in raising Luana in her early years. Overall, Luana had a fairly blissful childhood; she was never without anything of necessity—and as the eldest grandchild, she held most of her grandparent’s favor. That is, until her grandfather began an affair with a woman from Devils Junction. It was Luana herself that found her beloved grandfather mid tryst with the mysterious woman. She was adamant about him coming clean about to the rest of her family, however her apparently ashamed grandfather managed to convince a teen Luana to keep it a secret with the insistence that i would never happen again. Believing in the typically noble man’s words, Luana kept this secret—an action she would soon regret.  Two years later following this incident, the head of the tight knit Henriques family, Marcos, perished in an abrupt car accident. While the family mourned his sudden death, they were soon hit with another blow. During the reading of her grandfather’s will and testament, it was revealed that he had allegedly left 98% of his fortune to the mysterious woman from Devils Junction he’d once had an affair with. Thus, leaving only 2% of his fortune to his family, sans his wife to whom he only left the family home. The entire ordeal tore her family apart, with all questioning how such a thing could occur, and who this woman who had been gifted their legacy could be. Consequently, this was what ultimately led Luana into choosing Estates as her focus in Law—one in which her cutthroat and intuitive personality After graduating from Law School, Luana remained in Chicago for a few more years before finally making her way to Devils Junction in her early thirties. Her initial motive was to finally track down the woman who had taken her family’s rightful asset—a goal she may have yet to accomplish. Since moving to the dark city, Luana has put her skills in law to the test for many; including members of the alleged crime families. She is not entirely loyal to any faction at this point in time, simply helping out the highest bidder when she can. In secret, she hopes such help will result in her cashing in on a favor in the long run. 

*Personality:

Luana is a typical ENTP; extraverted, intuitive, a high thinker, and perceptive. She likes to make decisions based upon logic and observations. It’s not often that she would follow her heart. Rather, it’s more likely she would act based on reason. The only thing that drives her more than this is vengeance. The woman is known for holding a grudge for life; much like in the case of her grandfather’s affair. However, it’s not often one makes it far enough on her bad side for the honors of revenge. Still, it’s safe to say one should steer clear of triggering her rage. As an extravert, she has no problem charming a crowd with her wit. Some, however, could find her boldness to be obnoxious. This, along with her fairly privileged background, might make her appear vain. Another notable feature of hers is her adaptability. Luana is incredibly prudent, making it very way for her to pick up on even the smallest details. Her intuitive nature almost acts as a survival skill that allows her to adjust to any situation. Overall, Luana is motivated and resourceful woman who never backs down from a challenge.
