so! i am looking for anything involving modern fantasy; it doesn't have to be the focus but i prefer for it to just be there. otherwise i'm okay with any genre except apocalypse & zombies, super futuristic and military-focused rps! i am extremely creative, and if you are too, we should make a whole universe together no problem! i adore worldbuilding so never hold back your creativity - even if the idea sounds silly to you, i am sure we can bake a tasty cake from it nonetheless!

i do not do double ups, but i am down for multiple ships. what that means is that we play multiple characters, for platonic and romantic relationships, then make them interact depending on where the plot goes. in case of romantic ships, there will be time to play them out seperately depending on what we agree upon!

Song: It's You Artist: ATEEZ Yeosang, San, and Wooyoung Release: December 2023 Genre: Kpop, K-R&B cw: flashing lights, inception-like dreamscapes and effects

Third Monday of January means the second ATEEZ unit MV, because I am indeed a hopeless ass case. With a San bias sharper than those cheekbones. Meaning everyone else is going to have to wait for future weeks while I wallow in my emotional support boy group. ;)

From the moment the track list was released, I had strong expectations for IT's You, the unit track for besties trio Yeosang, San, and Wooyoung. For their self-written track, it's not really a surprise that they chose to pair heartfelt lyrics with a sexy, danceable groove. Most of the song is the three of them singing lines together, with each getting feature moments. We don't get that same low note moment for Yeosang that has popped up now and then since Halazia and yeah, most of the standout color lines go to San as the singer with the highest range, but the overall feel of the song hits that elusive feel of perfect line balance (no, I haven't tried mathematically proving the balance and I don't want to know the numbers either). There's a tenderness in the feel of the song that's hard to ignore, so when Alexa spoiled the secret "meaning" of the title as "I Tease You", well, ATINY both were and weren't surprised.

The video does feature a lot of flashing lights, so if that's a problem, this may have to be a pass. That said, ATEEZ continues the all-too-rare trend of shooting at night with enough light to be able to see clearly everything going on in the video and we thank their director for his foresight. The sound stages having the same feel, lighting-wise, as the outside alley shots helps to both blend them together and fuel that inception-like effect. And then there's the dancing. From Yeosang's hip-hop swagger to the lift for Wooyoung to the fluid way San uses his whole body, I could watch them all day. San's solo stages in particularly put me in mind of Kai of EXO with the way he moves and emotes.

And now... the lore paragraph. While there was room for argument about how far back to A we were with MATZ, with IT's You, we're definitely back in A-verse. The video is littered with callbacks to both Turbulence and Inception, both firmly Heroteez videos. And while I knew better than to expect it, I almost fell into the mental trap of expecting to see Hongjoong turn up in one of the dream (blue) sequences. The story still feels a bit paused, as if IT's You is more about bringing us back completely to the Heroteez universe rather than moving the plot. That's fine - it's an atmospheric sort of song and gives us a moment of pause to further readjust from Halateez back to Heroteez.

As an aside ... as an Alice I am trying very hard not to make anything of the neon sign in the alley scenes that says "ALWAYS the voICE WE LOVE" ... or rather, based on typesetting and positioning, "Always we Love the voICE," which is where Victon's fanclub (ALICE) gets its name. The cynic in me says it was just something the set dresser liked and was able to get cheap (officially, there's been no word on Victon's fate since Hanse, Byungchan, and Subin declined to resign with IST last April ... which at this point means a lot of fans are taking it as a silent disbandment, sigh), but the hopeless delulu in me would not be upset to see Victon come back on KQ after all military service terms are complete.

As previously noted, THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL is available now for streaming and physical purchase all around the world and in fact the boys earned themselves a triple crown for the first time with this one.

      subin was excited to meet up with her friend again after not being able to see them for such a long time. the girl had been busy recording her first ep album and so spending time with loved ones didn’t occur too often, seeing she had an mv shooting, recording days and photoshoots to go to, next to interviews and company dinners. checking the time on her phone again she wiggled slightly where she stood, the mask that was covering her face feeling slightly itchy. “you didn’t bail on me, right?” she said to herself as she checked her phone again. “hmmm...”

Not on your nightstand, in their cover, or even on your face; Your glasses were missing. Ten minutes of searching turned into twenty, and you were beginning to panic. Sat awkwardly on your bed, the laptop on your legs slightly burning your thighs, the battery growing heated as you typed on the keyboard in a rush.

You could hardly see anything. Moving your face directly in front of the screen and squinting was only another challenge. Eyes scanning over the tiny writing, you thought on your feet. Fingers separating on the touchpad, the screen zoomed in enough for the words to be almost intelligible.

And by almost, it was barely anything.

A late-night studying session turned into you passing out an hour in, and now you were stuck staring at two sentences that made no sense, along with a notification reading that the paper is due in less than forty-five minutes. Tears brimmed your eyes, light sniffles making your senses go haywire as you tried to pull yourself together.

You took one glance at the notes stranded beside you on the bed, all of the information filling your mind at the same time your fingers moved at lightning speed.

You were five paragraphs in when a knock sounded on your bedroom door, Subin's happy frame peeking through. Eyes focused on the next sentence, the tears streaming down your face dripped onto the laptop, Subin's expression immediately falling.

"Hey!" he called out. "What's wrong? What happened?"

Opening the door enough to move into the room, he crouched before you with a hand on your knee for comfort.

"I-I have this paper due in less than half-an-hour, and I'm barely a page in." you cried, his thumb running over the skin on your knee. "And I can't find my glasses. I can't even see the screen."

"I found your glasses," he said, pulling them from his shirt's pocket and handing them to you.

Your tears slowed when his fingers caressed yours, slipping the frames into your hand as you opened them and placed them on your face. With a few blinks, you could finally see properly.

You read over what you had written before he came in, comprehensible compared to what you originally started with, but the four pages for it to be finished were a long way away.

"I still have three more pages to go now," you said, flipping through your notes.

"Are these written in the order you're writing?" he asked, but he knew you too well.

You gained a habit of writing things in the order they appeared, which effected your school work indefinitely. The habit was more of a cheat code, your notes and papers flowing in the same pattern accordingly. Because of this, you were always able to crack down and get things done prior to their due dates, but this wasn't the case today. The paper was over half of your final grade, and if it came out poor, you were sure to fail.

"Well, I think I know your writing style enough," Subin said, voice tender and calming compared to your quick and broken one. "Let me grab my laptop from my bag and I'll try to write one or two of the pages."

Your chuckle made him stutter, standing up as he was about to rush out of the door. Peering up at him for the first time since he arrived, your half-grin made him sway.

"You'd do that for me?" you asked, his nod making you take in a breath.

"Just let me get my laptop and we'll be all set. I'll help, don't worry."

He was out of the room in seconds, nothing but an invisible cloud of his cologne in his previous place. Something about him was different. Your glasses slipping down the bridge of your nose caught you in the moment, his body moving back through your door in time for it to hit you.

"You stole my glasses, and now you have the same pair?" you questioned, his wide eyes making him lower his head.

"I didn't think it would cause such a fret," he said lowly, opening his own computer and glancing at your notes. "I just wanted to match with you."

Your heart skipped a beat, fingers laying on top of the keys halting at his words. Subin was clever, and never did anything wrong, intentionally. You couldn't even find it in yourself to be a little angry that he stole your glasses, even in spite of what had been occurring moments before he came through your door.

"You look wonderful in them," you said softly, gifting him a small smile that he returned.

"But next time, please just use pictures and don't steal the entire frame. And you better help me get at least a B." you said, his wide grin making you nudge your arm into him with a laugh.
