Cenobites were too much. Hellraiser V: Inferno is such a weak entry on the Hellraiser series. It started off good, giving us a story about a dishonest cop getting involved in Cenobites' concerns. When did it start to fail? The movie simply does not feel like Hellraiser at all, in fact, more like a psychological drama about a detective who fights for his sanity over his dirty deeds. The Cenobites plot seems pushed on it. By the end it got predictable, dumb, lacking of sense and really really boring. #Frailty is one of the best horror movies of a generation, one of the best religious horrors full-stop. And there's no blu. There's only the most basic, tatty, bog standard DVD release. To give you an idea, it's the kind of DVD which lists 'Interactive Menu' as a feature. It's a sin. ...No pun intended. I mean, even a pre-Mud McConaughey does okay. Those two kids play a blinder. Paxton gives a really sensitive, gentle performance in a role that could easily have been godawful. ...No pun intended.
