Day 38 was about creating more bark surfaces on the mug forms. Swipe to see how they looked at the end of my clay day. Day 21 of 100. Hope there was something in your day that made you smile or be awed by beauty. One moment of beauty for me was walking outside and feeling 65° air with minimal humidity caress my skin today. 🤎Day 35 was spent adding a bark texture to a few mug forms. I really enjoy making this texture and think I’ll spend this week making more. Tomorrow I’ll find an interesting texture for the base and handle to complement the bark design. 🌿How was your weekend? See anything beautiful you want to share? Day 22 was about testing stamping texture on the mugs made a few days ago. I got to the clay a little late so it was a bit too dry to get a strong impression. Definitely gonna play around with this surface design again to see what will come to life. 🌮Best part of today was homemade tacos for dinner! Day 46 was spent in the clay room adding floral edged bottoms to the mug forms made this week. When the weather fluctuates too much, it can cause some havoc in the studio. Luckily there's always a solution, (and some extra time if you step away from social media for a few days). Pottery is a waiting game. After every step, you have to wait before you can continue with your work. I'll be waiting all day for the kiln to cool down to see if these decals turned out well. ME: I'm going to make a large, simple planter and not fuss over it just in case it doesn't make it.
