Kimileri Bitcoin’in geçersiz yaratıcısı Satoshi Nakamoto’nun coin taşıyıp taşımadığını sorguladı:https://twitter.com/wiseguyhoshi/status/1691699997463712181 Kirill Kretov, Bitcoin’in yaratıcısının bakir BTC’yi sessizce hareket ettirmesinin muhtemel olmadığını söyledi.

Drake: 2023-24 Missouri Valley Men's Basketball Champions
Tumblr media
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Atin Wright went down on his knees and slapped the court with two hands, smiling at his Drake teammates while Tucker DeVries headed to the free-throw line, as the crowd chanted “M-V-P.”
Wright is a newcomer for the Bulldogs, drawn from his native California by the promise of winning. DeVries is the two-time Missouri Valley Conference player of the year, the son of Drake coach Darian DeVries.
Together – and with big plays by Darnell Brodie and Conor Enright – they helped land Drake back in the NCAA Tournament, holding off a late rally by Indiana State for an 84-80 victory Sunday in the Valley championship game at the Enterprise Center.
It was a second consecutive tournament triumph for the Bulldogs, who won’t have to sweat out a week of waiting to find out if they’re going to the Big Dance. They’re in. Again. For a third time in four years.
But it wasn’t easy. Indiana State trailed by double-digits for much of the game. But the Sycamores awoke late, with a 10-0 burst fueled by Isaiah Swope. He had eight points in that stretch, and scored all of his 19 after intermission. His four-point play gave Indiana State a 74-73 lead, its first since 2-0 in the opening minutes.
Drake was unfazed.
Brodie connected on a short hook shot. Enright fought through a screen to draw a foul on the defensive end, then calmly canned a 3-pointer to put Drake back ahead 79-76. Brodie made two free throws late, patiently waiting through a timeout for his opportunity, and DeVries made one to produce the final tally for the Bulldogs, who soon were swarming off of their bench to celebrate what they worked all winter to accomplish.
Drake (28-6), the second seed, was making its fourth consecutive appearance in the Valley title game, only the second school to ever do so (Tulsa, no longer a Valley member, was in six straight from 1982-87). The Bulldogs beat Bradley here a year ago to win this event for only the second time in school history (the first was in 2008).
Top-seeded Indiana State (28-6) last won this tournament in 2011, when they were coached by Iowa native Greg Lansing.
Sunday’s showdown was dazzling from the outset. The first media timeout didn’t come until 12:07 remained in the first half, as the Valley’s top two offensive teams set a frenzied pace early. All five Drake starters scored in the opening 5 minutes, including back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers by Enright, DeVries and Kevin Overton. When play was finally stopped by a deadball situation, Drake, the deeper team, led 21-13 and was able to sub in three fresh players.
Moments later, when Overton and DeVries both went to the bench with two early fouls, Wright took over, nailing a trio of 3-pointers to push Drake ahead 37-23 and prompt an Indiana State timeout. The Bulldogs connected on their first seven 3-point attempts.
Then it was Sycamores guard Ryan Conwell’s turn to assert himself, reeling off seven consecutive points to cut that deficit in half.
Drake pushed its lead to 45-32 at halftime, boosted by 15 points from Wright and 14 from DeVries, and a defensive effort that held the Sycamores scoreless over the final 4:24 of the half. It was Indiana State’s largest halftime deficit this season.
Drake got off to a strong start in the second half as well, making its first three field-goal attempts, two of them by DeVries, as the lead swelled to 53-37. But even that never felt comfortable against the Sycamores, who pushed Drake to the brink.
The Bulldogs didn’t blink. They’re champions again, with two nets and a trophy to show for it.

Defrauded borrowers' experiences with student loan relief
Defrauded borrowers’ experiences with student loan relief
When Kyle Sudhoff was trying to decide between DeVry University and University of Missouri, DeVry’s promises of job placement and a high starting salary after graduation sealed the deal. But when he graduated in 2011 with a degree in technical management, those promises didn’t pan out. Months went by, and Sudhoff still couldn’t find a job, even with help from the school’s placement office.…

Mantis Shrimp Robot: the references
https://www.pnas.org/content/118/33/e2026833118
Many small organisms produce ultrafast movements by storing elastic energy and mediating its storage and rapid release through a latching mechanism. The mantis shrimp in particular imparts extreme accelerations on rotating appendages to strike their prey. Biologists have hypothesized, but not tested, that there exists a geometric latching mechanism which mediates the actuation of the appendage. Inspired by the anatomy of the mantis shrimp striking appendage, we develop a centimeter-scale robot which emulates the linkage dynamics in the mantis shrimp and study how the underlying geometric latch is able to control rapid striking motions. Our physical and analytical models could also be extended to other behaviors such as throwing or jumping in which high power over short duration is required.

Geçmişten Günümüze Yatağın Tarihçesi
Tumblr media
Şu an derdimiz, sabahları yatağımızı toplamak olabilir.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Inkayacu is known from Yumaque Point of the Otuma Formation in Ica, Peru
Tumblr media
Physical Description: Inkayacu was an extinct penguin, and had a lot of similar traits to other extinct penguins - though resembling modern forms, extinct ones were unique in having extremely large bill size and just large body size in general. Inkayacu was about 1.5 meters long, which is a significant jump from the biggest living penguin (the Emperor Penguin at 1.2 meters long), and Inkayacu wasn’t even the biggest penguin at the time. It had a long, pointed bill, much longer than those seen on living members of the group. And - uniquely - we know the color of Inkayacu! Unlike living penguins, which are all varying shades of black and white with some splashes of other colors elsewhere, Inkayacu was grey and brown. We only known these colors form the flippers (wings), which show grey backs of the flipper and brown fronts, but it’s reasonable to suppose this pattern would follow the patterns of living penguins, where the color of the back of the flipper extends throughout the back of the animal, and the color of the front extends to the front. Thus, we depict Inkayacu with a grey back and a brown front, but this is still a conjecture. The melanosomes are similar to modern birds, long and narrow within the feathers - living penguins actually have wider ones. Other than that, the feathers of Inkayacu are similar to modern penguins in other ways, indicating that it had the same aquatic lifestyle. As such, it was flightless.
Diet: Inkayacu, like other penguins, would have fed on a wide variety of fish and aquatic invertebrates.

Behavior: Though shaped in a lot of ways like living penguins, Inkayacu was different in a number of ways. It had fewer melanosomes in its feathers than living penguins - and these melanosomes provide rigidity in modern penguin feathers that help with deep-sea diving. Without such melanosomes, Inkayacu might not have been as well adapted to deep diving. Still, it was clearly adapted for spending its life in the sea, diving and sea-flying all over its habitat. It would have used its long beak to stab and grab food, especially slippery food that might be hard to get a grip on. Using its flippers, it could propel itself through the water. Its feet were small and not good for moving, so on land it would probably waddle. This is not an uncommon bird to find, fossil-wise, and so it stands to reason that it would have been very social like living penguins. It would have probably laid its eggs on land, and took care of its young with mated partners. Given it lived in Peru, in the Eocene, it was more adapted for warm weather than cold, and wouldn’t have ventured very far south.

Ecosystem: Inkayacu lived along the Pervuian Priabonian coast, the Western coast of South America right as the global rainforest of the Eocene was collapsing and being replaced with more varying and arid climates. This was also a time of notable climate change and effects on the ocean, leading to a small mass extinction (especially in the oceans) at this time - killing off many iconic forms, including proto-whales. The conditions of this mass extinction actually allowed the penguins to flourish, and Inkayacu was a part of that flourishing. Inkayacu lived alongside proto-whales like Cynthiacetus and Mystacodon - a toothed baleen whale. Inkayacu wasn’t the only penguin in this area, but was joined by the larger and longer-beaked Icadyptes. As for proper fish, there were ray-finned fish like Engraulis and Sardinops, and unnamed sharks. There may have also been the marine snake Pterosphenus. There were many kinds of invertebrates as well. Inkayacu would probably have had to look out for the sharks and whales, though the fish would have had to look out for it! The coast that Inkayacu would have spent its time on would probably have been more rocky than sandy, though it’s uncertain either way.
Tumblr media
By Ripley Cook
Other: Inkayacu is very closely related to living penguins and is just outside the group of modern penguins and their closest relatives, so it showcases the evolution of penguins towards what we’re familiar with today. It’s interesting to note that short beaks seem to be characteristic of the modern crown group of penguins, and that long beaks were found in penguins even as close to the crown group as Inkayacu.

When George Weah contested and lost the Liberian Election in 2005, a major negative campaign against him from his opponents was that, he lacked proper education. He didn't even have a High School Certificate though he could speak English, French and Italian. But he didn't relent, and it didn't break him down. He took care of that over the next eight years: Following the defeat, he challenged himself and worked extremely hard to obtain a high school diploma(SHS) in 2006, aged 40, and went on to DeVry University in Florida, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business management in 2011 and and on top, has a master’s degree in public administration. In 2018,the 1995 World Footballer of the Year became President of Liberia. How many of us are willing to correct the mistakes of the past and confront the present challenges and become winners...... *IT'S NEVER TOO LATE* https://www.instagram.com/p/CD1MfI7j_U0AKTO3TLCyJ0CItgwpVOLVck7yCU0/?igshid=6q37l9pnepoq

eJournal #1  Talking With Alumni
Last Tuesday, we had a chance to talk with our George Brown College’s alumni. We were excited to ask them many questions about marketing field as they have a lot of experience. I was excited as well as little bit scared about how one can make his own path marketing. This interaction with all of the alumni was very helpful to me. I got many of my confusions clear while talking to them. We talked with Asta Schouten, Jordan Veenstra and Natasha Burtenshaw-deVrie.
Asta Schouten was a graphic designer for different marketing agencies. Then in 2011, she started the Social Media Marketing programs at George Brown College. Asta gave a very deep knowledge on networking and maintaining relationships. Keep connexions with peers at all times, and those within our field of study. Such links will contribute to incentives, services, guidance and career leads for postgraduates. Also we need to adapt to new marketing. Learn new skills to make ourselves better for the job and to do the job better. Some of the big benefits of networking that people seem to forget are that it helps you to support others. Granted, our motivations in the business environment are never altruistic, but it may be genuinely satisfying to support someone else achieve their career goals. For example, think about helping somebody with their first job, or putting in a good word to help somebody get the raise they've been seeking for the past two years.
Jordan Veenstra has worked in the luxury hospitality industry. He develops social media strategy, analysis and search engine optimization as a social media coordinator. With every new project and every new customer, he appreciates the ability to create innovative ideas and to know. While the social networking world continues to expand and evolve, companies are forced to adopt innovative approaches for interacting with their customers and community.
Lastly, Natasha Burtenshaw-deVrie, has experience working in smaller marketing company. Natasha started her career in Childhood and Social Institutions, and then she totally changed her path and turned into marketing field. She started to study Digital Media Marketing program at George Brown College and with the work placement, she started her career in marketing. She said if you really, truly set your mind to something, there is no way of someone or something stopping you.
I’m very grateful to all alumni to give us information and share their experiences with us. It helped me a lot and I learned a lot from them.
