was thinking about this in relation to kill la kill a few days ago and the less beloved parts of homestuck that i like more or less alone today but i am nearing 30 years old, if you make me go through the motions of performing the same discourse talking points over and over i am going to assume you're either a child or similarly reliant on some kind of performance of critique to get by, and then i'm not gonna fucking do it because life is too short to qualify every statement i make about a piece of art with "also it has problems", are people that afraid of putting a little bit of faith in others to assume they know what they're talking about. i love to do critique. i love to disassemble stories and art and figure out what makes them tick. but i am tired of performing going through the motions, tired of qualifying. and my heart's clearly just not in it. aren't you tired too.
