2021 Subaru Crosstrek Outdoor: Possibly the best car for Canadian winters
Words and Photos By Michael Hozjan
With the first significant snow fall well under way I decided to blow the wet snow before it got too deep and heavy for my old Massey-Ferguson. Well about a quarter of the way down my driveway I looked up to see a trail of something brown oozing onto the white stuff. Scurrying back up the hill I shut the engine off to discover that thankfully it wasn’t oil but some rusted antifreeze spewing out of the radiator cap. Jumping into Subaru’s latest addition of their best selling SUV, the Crosstrek Outdoor, I recalled a television commercial from my youth. The black and white low lit night scene started with the commentator saying “What does the snow plow driver drive to work?” The camera pulls out as the driver gets to the yard and starts up the plow, when we see a Volkswagen Beetle.
Why did I remember that commercial? Probably because I had about half a foot of wet packed snow to contend with in my driveway, not even thinking about how deep the snow was at the entrance where the plow usually pushes up as much snow as possible to ruin everyone’s day. Now back in the sixties we negotiated the roads in our rear wheel drive sedans, but we’ve turned into wimps. When front wheel drive cars came out, we were able to apply power to the steered wheels and pull ourselves out of the city plow’s wrath a lot easier. These days it seems like we can’t survive sans all-wheel-drive. You’ll notice I said we because like most people, as cars have changed, my lack of time behind the wheel of a rear wheel driver has been drastically cut and my proficiency has dropped as well. Yes, like most people I welcome all-wheel-drivers and I especially welcomed the Crosstrek to get me through today.
Tumblr media
And I recall a time even when we were still driving rear wheel drive cars back in the ‘70s, a Japanese 4x4 caught my eye – the Subaru B.R.A.T.  A small pickup with rear-facing buckets in the bed, clearly something that would drive today’s legislators insane. The writing was on the wall, the B.R.A.T (for Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter – talk about a mouthful) was an alternative to the big heavy 4x4s of the day and gave Subaru a foothold in the lucrative North American four-wheel-drive market. Of course a lot has changed in the five decades since, except that Subaru continues to lead the affordable SUV/crossover market, and its top seller is the compact Crosstrek.
What’s New
Well Subaru has just upped the anti in the crowded, hotly contested segment by adding a second, more powerful engine to the Crosstrek line up. Pulled form the company’s Outback and Legacy parts bin, the 2.5L boxer four cylinder now finds a home in two of the Crosstrek’s trim lines. There’s a 30 horse and 31 lb-ft premium over the base 2.0L boxer mill, that’s 182 horses and 176 lb-ft of torque going to the continuously variable transmission (CVT). Surprisingly the 2.5 liter also is remarkably fuel efficient.
Tumblr media
Above: The 2.5 litre boxer four is new to the Crosstrek
To date the 2.5L is available only in the Outdoor and Limited trims, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the option makes its way into the other trims. Sadly, the larger engine is not available with the 6-speed manual transmission, but the CVT with paddle shifters, too bad as it would be a really nice combo. Yes the AWD system that comes with the CVT is far more electronically advanced and capable of going into further and deeper in the rough than the one that comes with the manual, still, it would just be nice to have a third pedal with the larger engine.
Best of all, unlike some manufacturers, who reserve larger displacement engines exclusively to the top tier trim levels, the Outdoor is in the middle of the Crosstrek trim level.
Tumblr media
The Outdoor goodie bag doesn’t end there. You also get the new Dual-function X-Mode. X-Mode better manages throttle response to avoid wheel spin and controls power output to the center differential and individual wheels as well as being able to have you descend slippery slopes with its hill decent control. But let’s face it, we’re not in a perfect world and there are times the white stuff is just too deep and you just need to gun it to get out. Enter Dual-function X-Mode, which allows you to do just that - think of it as shutting off the traction control.
Tumblr media
There’s even more, you get a wide-angle front view camera (unique to the Outdoor), just the ticket when you’re avoiding stumps and boulders on the new path up to the lake, side/rear vehicle detection system (SRVD), an 8-inch infotainment screen, and Subaru’s driver assist technology - Eye-Sight with its new lane centering assist. All for only $29,995 Considering the bare, entry level, Convenience with the smaller mill will run you $23,795 and the only other trim where you can get the 2.5L is the Limited at $34,495, the Outdoor is a no brainer.
While all 2021 models get a redesigned grille and new wheel options, the Outdoor can easily be distinguished from the rest of the Crosstrek line by its rather overly large, garish black cladding on the wheel wells. Sorry Subaru. I know it’s an attempt at making it look tougher, but…
Tumblr media
The Greenhouse
The interior combines functionality with taste. The buckets are comfortable wrapped in easy to clean soft-touch all-weather material with the Crosstrek name embroidered in gold on the seatbacks and gold stitching on the seams. Gold stitching continues throughout the interior highlighted by a gold colored steering wheel spoke. The Outdoor has almost all the requirements I noted a few weeks back as the ideal Canadian (winter) car, namely heated front seats, heated steering wheel and floor mounted heater ducts to keep rear seat passengers’ footsies warm.
Tumblr media
Above: all controls and buttons are clearly marked, and easy to reach.
Tumblr media
There’s ample head, leg, and shoulder room for four adults with two USB ports in the instrument panel and another two in the armrest console. Despite being on the smaller scale of its competitors, there’s more cargo room than most including Chevy’s Trailblazer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Above: Cargo capacity is  20.8 cu.ft. and 55.3 cu.ft. with the rear bench folded flat.
Tumblr media
Above: Small spare but a full array of tools including the tow rings, a $100 option on the Cherokee
The verdict
The Crosstrek’s competitors include the Chevy Trailblazer, Nissan Qashqai and Mazda CX-30 to mention a few. Yet the Subie stands out with its low center of gravity despite having a good amount of ground clearance, which clearly makes it adept at handling light off-roading a swell as highway travel. In its eight year history the Crosstrek has always been a strong competent contender and one of the more affordable all-wheel-drive vehicles, add in the latest features, combined with its sporty agility, and the Crosstrek has left the competition choking in its dust.
Tumblr media
Best of all the 2.5 liter is surprisingly fuel efficient, despite trudging through some heavy snow near the end of my week long time with the Outdoor I averaged a respectable 8.0L/100km.
Epilogue
Not too long after I dropped off the Crosstrek I found myself behind the wheel of the Nissan Rogue. Well, let me tell you it didn’t take long to realize that the Subie is significantly quieter in drowning out road noise.
Price as tested: $29,995

Car Design Trend: Squinting “Eyes”
Tumblr media
Every decade sees new car design trends that come to define that generation of vehicles. In the early 2010’s, over-sized grilles became highly popular as a showcase of brand identity. Lexus and Audi were some of the first pioneers of the now-expected gigantic maw of modern cars. Today, even regular commuter cars that once looked tame, such as the Toyota Avalon, now feature grilles that dominate the vast majority of the front fascia. Looking at various recently redesigned cars, it seems that a new design trend has begun that could potentially define the cars of the ‘20s: a front fascia that leaves the impression of squinting eyes. The front of an automobile generally follows the convention of two sets of lights: primary upper (typically the headlights) and secondary lower (typically the fog lights). This new design direction involves slim upper lights that create a face of intense glare, like a predator stalking its prey.
Cadillac Escalade
Tumblr media
2021 Cadillac Escalade
Tumblr media
2021 Escalade (left) and 2020 Escalade (right)
The Escalade is truly giant, measuring over seventeen and a half feet long and over six feet wide and tall. Considering the hulking proportions, a wide and presentable grille makes sense. So do large and pronounced headlights. The previous model featured both. The new 2021 Escalade retains a large grille but now has slim horizontal headlights, arguably too small for such a sizable vehicle. However, thanks to enlarged daytime running/turn signal lights that extend vertically underneath the headlights, the space left behind is appropriately filled-in. With these new lights, the face of the Escalade has changed. It now has a distinct “squint” that creates a more dramatic expression than before.
Chevy Bolt
Tumblr media
2022 Chevy Bolt
Tumblr media
2022 Bolt (left) and 2021 Bolt (right)
In comparing the new to the outgoing Chevy Bolt, the first immediate change is the “facial” expression, transitioning from a cheerful grin to a fierce glare, thanks to slender upper lights and a downturned grille. Interestingly, the upper lights are only daytime running lights and turn signals, with the larger light assembly below being the headlights themselves. We frequently associate the headlights as a car’s “eyes,” although in the case of the new Bolt, that role is fulfilled by decorative daytime lights.
Hyundai Kona & Santa Fe
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
2021 Hyundai Santa Fe
Hyundai has been designing cars with narrow lights for some years now. The Kona has featured this design approach since it first debuted in 2017, and the Santa Fe since its fourth generation launched in 2018. Both models have been pushed further into that direction with new facelifts. Now even slimmer and sharper, the updated upper lights create a focused gaze that is especially perceptible in the Santa Fe, with its two sharp daytime running bars. As with the Chevy Bolt, both Hyundais have their headlights below the daytime running lights.
Mitsubishi Outlander
Tumblr media
2022 Mitsubishi Outlander
Tumblr media
2022 Outlander (left) and 2020 Outlander (right)
The recently redesigned Mitsubishi Outlander now has a girthier front fascia that leaves a stronger initial impression than the outgoing model, appearing much more resilient and confident. This is thanks to sleek upper lights that produce an angry squint, large lower headlights, and a thick decorative chrome line, altogether generating a tougher look than before.
Nissan Qashqai
Tumblr media
2022 Nissan Qashqai
Tumblr media
2022 Qashqai (left) and 2020 Qashqai (right)
The Nissan Qashqai, known as Rogue Sport in the US, now features a fresh design for 2022. Looking at the front, the “V-Motion” grille has grown, the air vents on the sides are much sharper, and the lights have been put on a diet. Super slender boomerang lights create a sharp face with a determined expression that compliments the Qashqai’s newfound angularity.
Conclusion
The brain is quite efficient in differentiating one human face from another, but sometimes we see faces in objects or patterns that otherwise don’t have any. This phenomenon is known as Pareidolia, and is the explanation for why we tend to perceive faces in cars. While the overall shape and proportions of a car make up the majority of its design, the headlights and grille are perhaps the most important in their ability to set the overall tone and expression of the design. Looking at cars from this century, and a general evolution one can notice is the move from neutral to angry front fascia expressions. This can be attributed to over-sized grilles that are frequently downturned and inward-slanted headlights, together mimicking an angry human grin. And now, a new face of automotive design has arrived. One that is not only angry, but also stares intensely with squinting “eyes” that create an observant expression. This could become the defining characteristic of front fascia car design of the current decade. Only time will tell.

Why Honda's Swindon closure isn't simply down to Brexit
As Honda plans to close its UK factory, we assess the reasons why
Tumblr media
The proposed shut-down of the Honda plant in Swindon will be a tragedy for the families of 3,500 workers. So too for the multiples of other people in the town and elsewhere that manufacture parts of the cars.
It would be easy to blame it solely on Brexit. After all, car makers loathe economic and trade uncertainty. And we’ve got a lot of that right now.
You have to hope that by 2021, the proposed shut-down date, things might be clearer. That date, by the way, signals the end of life for the current generation Civic.
However, whether we have a no-deal Brexit or a transition period, tariffs and extra paperwork will impose a huge extra burden on the car and component manufacturing industry. At the moment components cross the Channel freely, but that’ll change.
Ford’s European sales and marketing chief Roelant de Waard told me his firm estimates it will be €80 (£70) per vehicle just in paperwork cost, for the components that cross and re-cross between the UK and the remaining EU. That’s before the actual tariffs which are expected to be many times more than that.
And de Waard says that currency changes since the Brexit referendum have already cost Ford €600 million (£525m). For Honda, exporting cars rather than importing them as Ford does, a fall in Sterling is a lesser blow, but as components are bought in from around the world, Honda would still prefer stability.
However it isn’t just about Brexit. Another issue of trade has hit the plant’s chances. A new free-trade deal between Japan and the EU means that cars made in Japan now attract no tariffs coming into Europe. So there’s less motivation to build them in Europe. Honda’s plan is to draw production back towards its home. That’s a reversal of its old policy of “We build where we sell”.
But it goes deeper than that. Honda Europe has problems of its own, dating back to decisions made by its own Japanese HQ a decade ago.
In 2009, when the global financial crisis hit, Honda took a global view. Money was very tight and it decided to invest that money only where there was a chance of a fast return. Predictions were that that the US and Pacific economies would recover faster than Europe.
So Honda staunched investment in cars for Europe, figuring they wouldn’t get a quick return if they spent here.
The result was a range that became dated and gappy. Models such as a new generation of Jazz and the vital HR-V were launched here more than a year behind Japan. The dealers lost momentum. The customers lost interest.
So when, a few years ago, Honda presented its new range to Europe, not enough people noticed. The world had moved on. And now Honda is saying that Swindon is suffering because the world is moving towards electric cars.
Katsushi Inoue, Honda’s Chief for Europe, said: “In light of the unprecedented changes that are affecting our industry, it is vital that we accelerate our electrification strategy and restructure our global operations accordingly.”
Well, brilliant. Honda resisted making EVs while Nissan went ahead a decade ago. It will be a while before you can buy a Honda Urban EV, and it’ll be made in Japan. Even Honda’s first form of hybrid didn’t work well in Europe.
In 2009 Honda had a 1.7 per cent share of the European car market. It fell to 1.3 per cent the following year. By 2017 and 2018 it was down at 0.9 per cent.
The Swindon plant was planned to build far more cars than it currently does. Its capacity is 250,000; it’s seldom made more than 150,000 a year. They’ve tried building CR-Vs and Jazzes there, as well as the Civic, and in the early days the Accord. So it’s a commendably flexible operation. Part of the flexibility comes from the fact it’s less automated than most other plants. And those workers build to a very high quality. The people of Swindon are not the problem. It was that the company has lost the knack of selling enough cars and had misread the market.
Honda can’t blame political forces. And I don’t suppose it will, because Honda has a policy of not making political pronouncements, and not accepting subsidies. Very different from Nissan or Jaguar Land Rover.
Nissan withdrew the next X-Trail from Sunderland. Well again, I don’t think that’s a vehicle that would have been a runaway success. The current one had few rivals when it was launched; the new one will have the very fine Skoda Kodiaq and Peugeot 5008 and VW Tiguan Allspace. Et cetera. That leaves less of a market for the X-Trail. The other Sunderland products, the Qashqai and Leaf, should be fine.
And as we noted a few weeks ago. Jaguar can’t just blame external forces for its current woes. It’s mostly about its chronic inability to sell XEs and XFs in significant numbers compared with German rivals.
If a factory sells cars that people want to buy, a headwind such as Brexit is an inconvenience. If the product’s not right for the market, it can be a killer blow.

On this occasion, this compact crossover could get some revisions and beverages. The secondly-group of Qashqai is however found so there won’t be accomplished revamp, as a minimum not really. The interior will give you far more traditional and suggested capabilities, and the cabin place is going to be kind as generally ahead of. 2021 Nissan Qashqai Redesign
Exterior and Interior Design
The most significant changes on the 2021 Nissan Qashqai will occur in the outside department. In our judgment, the 2021 model is going to be the best one at this point. Hottest revisions are delivering considerably sharper search with an increase of muscle mass. Also, sportiness is included in the new Qashqai. Up-front, angular front lights and relatively greater grille are appearing remarkable. The entrance fascia looks curvy and polished fog lights are accomplishing the astonishing start looking of the principal component. To the edges, Qashqai looks like a real SUV, but the rear end is even more hatchback-like. This crossover trips on 18-inch alloy tires but you can get suggested 19-” wheels. The rear spoiler appears to be more expansive and sporty. Communicating of more extensive, the 2021 Nissan Qashqai will spot some dimensional changes, and it will surely be a little bit bigger about .80 in.
2021 Nissan Qashqai Interior
You can like or dislike the 2021 Nissan Qashqai, but there is not a single issue you know towards the interior team. Everything from the inside of seems so incredible and the interior is incredibly practical. Level of comfort is also fantastic, chairs are bolstered more, and ambient lighting fixtures is giving you an excellent feel of high end. On top of that, Nissan’s Health and safety Protect is presenting terrific security standing. The 2021 Qashqai now offers hint reputation, blind area observing, forward crisis braking and adaptive cruise trip regulate, all as standard. The place interior the cabin is even better thanks to the newest dimensional changes. That implies the trunk room is more excellent and legroom is ampler.
2021 Nissan Qashqai Engine
The drawing near 2021 Nissan Qashqai gives you several driving a motor vehicle options, as we mentioned previously. There are two fuel engines in the lineup, along with a single diesel product. The standard drivetrain on the base model is a 1.2-liter fuel item which can generate as many as 113 Hewlett Packard and 140 lb-feet of torque. The same type of engine but greater is recommended, and this is a 1.6-liter Burrow-T fuel machine. This engine yields 147 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of twists. The diesel engine is also optionally available and is scored at 128 HP and 236 lb-feet of torque. All three drivers are emerging with a minimized Carbon dioxide emissions, excellent fuel economy and also with the non-obligatory all-wheel-drive setting. 6-acceleration instructions and new XTronic instant gearboxes are accessible. We also expect to have a hybrid variant, but at this point, there are no recognized details what engine will probably be used.

Will the new Nissan Qashqai become your family car?
The 2021 Nissan Qashqai can be said to be a very successful family SUV. As a third-generation model, it is more practical, with a more efficient engine and upgraded safety technology. It is a model with strong comprehensive strength.
Tumblr media
This car can be said to be a template for future family SUVs. While giving consumers more choices, it also breaks the monopoly of traditional family hatchbacks such as Ford Focus and Volkswagen Golf.
The appearance of the new Qashqai continues the styling design of the previous generation model. Its length has been increased by 35mm, and its width has been increased by 32mm. The overall look is more impactful. The longer wheelbase also allows Qashqai to have more space inside, especially the leg room, which is 28mm more.
The Nissan Rich front face is the latest interpretation of Nissan’s "V-Motion" grille. On both sides are slender LED headlights, and a C-shaped diagonal line is drawn on the front face.
The suspension design is eye-catching, and the contrasting paint on the roof is also interesting. In terms of appearance, there are 11 colors to choose from, and the wheel sizes range from 17-20 inches, which is one inch larger than the maximum size offered by the second-generation Qashqai.
Tumblr media
Inside, Qashqai's cockpit has made a big leap in design and decoration. The horizontal instrument panel structure places the infotainment system's screen on the top of the instrument panel, and moves the air vents and physical air conditioning controls to the bottom.
Qashqai’s infotainment system now uses a 9-inch touch screen with a clearer resolution than before, able to display fuel prices, Google Street View and speed camera information. It also supports functions such as Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay connection.
The Nissan Connect smartphone app also allows car owners to remotely control the car’s locks, lights and horns, as well as send destinations to the car’s navigation system, and other new features.
In terms of power, Qashqai has undergone tremendous changes. It abandoned the diesel engine in favor of a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, and is equipped with a mild hybrid system, which is conducive to reducing carbon emissions.
Tumblr media
The engine can output 138 horsepower or 156 horsepower, and the torque is as high as 270N·m. The normal model uses a front-wheel drive configuration, while the light-hybrid version uses all-wheel drive, and the gearbox is matched with a CVT stepless gearbox.
Front-wheel drive is the standard configuration of the basic model, while four-wheel drive is an optional configuration for the most powerful mild hybrid model. Qashqai also provides a CVT automatic transmission with a manual step ratio.
Of course, what is more noticeable is its brand new hybrid technology called "e-Power". It uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a variable compression ratio and an electric motor, providing a total of 184 horsepower and 330N·m of torque.
It is different from the hybrid system used in Toyota Prius and other vehicles. Its fuel system does not directly drive the vehicle, but acts as a generator to charge a small battery. The battery transfers energy to the motor, which will greatly increase fuel consumption.
The new Qashqai is built from an upgraded version of the CMF-C architecture. It can use more high-strength steel, has a new floor structure, and the suspension has been redesigned.
Tumblr media
The new architecture helps to improve the flexibility of the vehicle, which is very important for a family SUV. The physically wider compartment increases the shoulder space of the front passenger by at least 28 mm.
In addition, Qashqai’s trunk space has been increased to 504 liters. The additional lighting and 12-volt socket make the space more practical than before.
The locker on the door is larger than the previous model, and the position of the cup holder has been re-adjusted so that it does not interfere with the gearbox. The new wireless charging board can charge smart phone devices, and the charging speed is quite fast. Four wired USB charging ports are also standard, which is quite convenient for modern people who can’t leave their phones.
Since the door can now be opened to 85 degrees, this makes it a lot more convenient for families with children.
In addition, the new Qashqai also has a series of new driver assistance systems. Nissan’s ProPilot semi-automatic adaptive cruise control has been enhanced on the latest Qashqai and can adapt to road conditions. The blind spot warning system can now intervene and perform steering input. It can also brake automatically.
The new Qashqai is quite powerful and may be able to achieve good results in the family SUV market.

Next Nissan Qashqai production delayed, says report
Production ofNissan's all-important new Qashqaihas been pushed back until the middle of 2021, according to theFinancial Times .The newspaper cites two sources who claim production was originally set to begin in October, although that date has not been confirmed by the Japanese car maker. In a statement sent to Autocar, Nissan said: "Preparations continue for the launch of the new Qashqai in Sunderland, which represents a £400m investment in the plant."The firm added: "We have not yet announced a date for the next-generation model, but look forward to sharing some exciting news in the coming months."The FT indicated that the apparent delay is largely due to the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, which has delayed development and changed the firm's priorities. It suggested the delay could also allow Nissan to work out its course of action should Britain not secure a deal with the European Union post-Brexit.Just over half of the approximately 500,000 cars produced at Sunderland annually are exported to Europe, You may also like: autel md802 reviews. and two-thirds of those are Qashqais. Any trade tariffs with the EU would "jeopardise" Sunderland's business model, bosses have previously claimed. The report suggests that production of the new Qashqai will not begin until after April 2021 .The current version has been on sale since 2014.Nissan's second crossover album goes platinum, but a light refresh and some added extras have to hold off the Qashqai from the Seat Ateca and Skoda KodiaqThe original date of oct was never confirmed so how can production date be put back significantly.Even if true you can understand why, no company would want to release a major model in the next couple of months if they can avoid it.Other factories will get the work that Brexiters are chasing out of the UK. Top 10 Cars Coming in 2021
2020 has been a turbulent year all around the world. For many the global onset of covid-19 has confined us to our homes and eliminated many of the journeys we do on a daily basis! For many, the arrival of a new year, reduced lockdown conditions and a new series of marvellous automotive machines is like music to their ears. Let’s see what kind of exciting new models we will have to choose from in 2021.
1. Alfa Romeo Tonale
Built as a smaller counterpart to the Stelvio, the Tonale will compete with the Range Rover Evoque. The striking lines, bold grille design and a smart plug-in hybrid option make this a serious contender for the SUV category.
2. Tesla Cybertruck
One of the more controversial new car designs revealed online, the Cybertruck combines possibly the edgiest exterior design of any SUV/pickup truck ever with the unique and ground-breaking EV technology that Tesla is known for. As they say, it will offer “better” utility than a truck with more performance than a sports car.
3. BMW i4
We only have concept images to go from so far, but the i4 should be with us sometime in 2021. This all-electric mid-size saloon car will be a foil to EV competitor Tesla’s Model 3. The company is claiming that it’ll deliver a whopping 523hp and an impressive 373-mile range.
4. Dacia Spring
youtube
Anyone who thought an EV would always mean a big price tag are being proven wrong by Dacia. Their EV crossover is expected to be the long-awaited answer to the ever-present problem of how to make electric truly affordable.
5. Nissan Qashqai
Nissan are delivering an upgraded Qashqai in 2021 featuring a facelift, new plug-in hybrid option, and new drivetrain options. It’s not an all-new model, but you’ll likely feel the difference.
6. Fiat 500
youtube
It’s all-new and all-electric. No hybrid mid-step for Fiat, they are abandoning traditional engines completely. The EV build brings a few design changes, but you can expect to recognize this iconic mainstay of Fiat’s range even in its new form.
7. Mazda MX-30
Where its competitors like BMW and Tesla are continuing to boast their large single-charge range, Mazda is playing a different card. The new MX-30 has a 35.5kWh battery and only 130 miles of range. They say it’s enough for most people, and a lighter battery will mean the car is less cumbersome to drive.
8. Hyundai i20 N
youtube
Anyone who thought the existing i20 supermini didn’t come with enough kick will be pleased with this model. Buyers can expect as high as 200hp and 0-60 in just 7 seconds. There are details still to be confirmed, but the i20 N promises to be a major power upgrade.
9. Toyota Yaris Cross
Toyota are taking their Yaris name into the SUV crossover category in 2021, designed to compete with the likes of Nissan Juke. It’ll be built on the same foundations as the Yaris you know and love, but expect some major size, height and other upgrades to enjoy.
10. Nissan Ariya
youtube
The Qashqai has been a top seller in the UK, and the Ariya brings us an all-electric counterpart to the Qashqai. We don’t have all the details right now, but it looks as though the Japanese auto giant is looking to reinforce its top SUV bracket with new and exciting additions.
