Top 5 eminath headcanons
HI DAGGER ILYSM!
okay okay okay. so I’m not really a headcanon person. but here are some… motifs? images? vibes? situations? that have cropped up in my…. 30k+ of eminath writing. don’t be surprised if, when I finish these stories, the same things crop up:
1) Emilie calls Nathalie “smart” when Nathalie plays into Emilie’s hand or plans. “You’re so smart, that’s what I love about you,” said with a very beautiful smile before or after inflicting some kind of damage on her. I’ve also written Emilie saying “Good Nathalie” which is. well. anyway!
2) Nathalie is equally as obsessed as she is conflicted about seeing Emilie’s stretch marks. (oh yeah, Emilie to me has stretch marks and she’s very demure about them but also very… how do I say this… quietly pretentious? smug? about them? to her, she WORKED very very hard to bring Adrien into the world. she wanted him soooo much. they’re a badge of honor, a tie to her motherhood which is such a huge theme for her, etc etc.) anyway it reminds Nathalie, even in more intimate moments, that Emilie used the broken peacock and there’s consequences to that. also, they’re beautiful 🥰
3) as a former British heiress, Emilie probably loved tea time and had a specific part of the afternoon reserved to have a cup and reflect or do whatever. Nathalie would plate this for her on a platter and bring it to her when she could, and sometimes Emilie would ask her to stay. (if this were a fic, I’d called it “silver spoon cafe”)
4) Emilie loves always having something of Nathalie’s around her finger. Nathalie’s necklace, a strand of her hair, two of Emilie’s fingers through Nathalie’s belt loops on her trousers, keeping her close. whew! love it!
5) emilie is the top. why am i seeing dominant Nathalie’s in the tag.

Air Mauritius will fly their A330-900neo to Perth!
Air Mauritius announced the introduction of two new Airbus A330-900 (New Engine Option – neo) aircraft, on long term operating lease from Air Lease Corporation (ALC), in September and October 2018 in replacement of two A340-300E aircraft whose leases will expire in November and December 2018. This decision follows a thorough evaluation process and accelerates the fleet renewal program of the airline with another state of the... art aircraft. The A330-900 aircraft, which has been officially launched in July 2014, is powered by two new generation Rolls Royce Trent 7000 engines. The aircraft is also equipped with a new cabin interior design, high-span wings and sharklets as well as new systems.
The aircraft consumes at least 20% less fuel as compared to the current A340-300 enhanced aircraft. The A330-900 aircraft will have a similar cabin layout as the A350-900 aircraft and will be configured in a two class layout with 291 seats (28 business and 263 economy class seats) with full-flat seats in business class, new seats in economy, new inflight entertainment systems as well as onboard WiFi.
The replacement of the two A340-300E by the A330-900 aircraft is key to modernizing the fleet of Air Mauritius and will offer enhanced passenger experience and comfort, operating efficiencies and technological innovation. The new aircraft will also allow Air Mauritius to improve its products and competitiveness in the current dynamic and challenging market environment. The two aircraft will initially serve the medium haul routes of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Delhi and Perth.
Moreover, based on its future fleet requirements, Air Mauritius is maintaining its order of two A350- 900 aircraft for 2019 and has decided to reschedule the delivery of the last two A350-900 aircraft, initially planned for 2020, to 2023.
Air Mauritius is the national carrier of the Republic of Mauritius. Created in 1967, it currently operates a fleet of four A340-300, two A340-300E, two A330-200, two A319-100 and three ATR72-500. Air Mauritius presently flies to twenty-four destinations in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Indian Ocean
At the same time, Air Mauritius is upgrading the cabin interiors of its existing fleet with a view to meet customer expectations and consolidate its status as the leading airline of the region. The airline’s existing aircraft will thus be equipped with new seats, new inflight entertainment systems and onboard WiFi. The revamp of the cabin interiors is planned to be completed by June 2018.

Covered In This Report:
Asia-Pacific in-flight Wi-Fi market of the region is majorly boosted by the increasing number of air passengers. In the past 20 years, Asia Pacific region has witnessed an increase in the number of air passengers by over 6.5%. This trend of growth is anticipated to continue for the coming 10-12 years. Backed up by this trend, Asia Pacific is expected to account for 40.8% of the global air transport in comparison to that of 28% at present.
Citing the above mentioned scenario, the in-flight Wi-Fi market is projected to expand at a CAGR>26.35% during 2015-2021.
In addition to that, rising penetration of smartphones and formulation of favorable guidelines by the aviation authorities from countries like India for the use of in-flight Wi-Fi services inside an aircraft would further bid to boost the airborne wireless connectivity market over the next few years. In August 2016. Aviation Ministry of India has given a green signal to launch in-flight wifi services in the country. Hence, a spur a expected by the launch of such services. Over the past 10 years, the jetliners fleet in the Asia-Pacific region has experienced almost double increment in its number from 2,901 to 5,852 aircrafts. The number of jet operators in the region also increased from 151 to 226 registering a growth of almost 51% in the past decade. The capacity of the aircrafts also witnessed an annual growth of 7.1% and the number of flight routes within and from the region increased from 2,210 to 3,820, exhibiting a growth of around 58% during the same period.
The two major airline companies of the Asia-Pacific region i.e. Boeing and Airbus further anticipates that in order to satisfy the growing air passenger traffic, the demand for new aircrafts would soar from 12,520 to 15,010 aircrafts in the coming 20 years. This burgeoned increase in the total number of aircrafts would surely lead Asia-Pacific to achieve the fastest growth in the in-flight Wi-Fi market in the coming future.
With rising use of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. in the country, the number of social media users would also increase in future. This trend would surely expand the opportunities for the growth of in-flight W-Fi in India.
The year-on year (Y-O-Y) growth rate of most of the Asia-Pacific countries would observe an increase during the period of 2015-2016 (except that of Japan, Singapore and Indonesia). The reason behind this growth could be attributed to strengthening of the economy of most of the Asia-Pacific countries which would lead to larger investments for the development of in-flight Wi-Fi in the region.
In a major country such as India, the penetration of social media is witnessing a continuous increase in recent few years. Currently, the total number of social media users in the country is approximately 144 million. Out of this, 120 million users belonged to the urban areas and 24 million from that of rural areas in India.
Initially, the passenger traffic at the airports in Asia-Pacific declined from 1.8% in 2012 to 0.6% in 2013. But, with the commencement of the year 2014, the passenger traffic started rising and the growth rate climbed to 4.6% in comparison to 2013. Further, in 2015, the passenger traffic at airports again witnessed a growth at an average of 5.2% over 2014.
However, lack of safety and security, higher costs and lack of technology are some of the major challenges that would restrain the growth of in-flight Wi-Fi market during the forecast period.
The global in-flight Wi-Fi market is segmented on the basis of type such as hardware and services. . By 2021, the service segment is believed to have the highest market share by 2021.
On the basis of technology, the market is segmented into two main types i.e. ATG (Air-to-Ground) and satellite technology. The ATG technology covered the largest segment of the market in 2015, but owing to larger adoption of the satellite based technology by the airline companies, the satellite segment is anticipated to observe the highest compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 22.03% during 2015-2021.
The Asia-Pacific in-flight WiFi market is being studied on the basis of country and their performance in recent years. Further, Asia-Pacific in-flight Wi-Fi market is projected to exhibit a strong CAGR (Compound annual growth rate) of >10% .
It has been noticed that Asia-Pacific captured the highest share after Americas in global in-flight Wi-Fi market in 2015 followed by Asia-Pacific. Maintaining the same trend, Asia-Pacific is projected to dominate the global inflight WiFi market between 2015 and 2021. Asia Pacific region is anticipated to grow at a rapid pace owing to some of the major factors such as robust economic growth, rising disposable income and increasing penetration of smartphones.
The key players of the in-flight Wi-Fi market include ViaSat, Honeywell International Inc., Global Eagle Entertainment, Thales Group, SITA, Kymeta Corporation, Gogo Inc. etc.

One friendly airline bought laptops to loan its passengers on flights affected by the Trump administration’s new electronics ban. The rule, which took effect on Saturday, forbids any device larger than a smartphone on flights to the U.S. from parts of the Middle East and North Africa.
Qatar Airways announced on Thursday it will provide free laptops for passengers in business class so they can keep working while they fly.
It's 'Business As Usual' on all United States flights with our complimentary Laptop Loan Service https://t.co/uYMWPHnltg #ElectronicsBan http://pic.twitter.com/kB31u1opuw
— Qatar Airways (@qatarairways) March 30, 2017
Business travelers on Qatar will receive a USB device before boarding so they can download work from their personal computers. They’ll then have to pass their personal laptops to gate staff to be stowed with the plane’s checked baggage, and continue where they left off on the loaners.
Some of the nine airlines hit with the ban have responded with free Wi-Fi and iPads, but Qatar is the first to buy computers for travelers’ use.
The airline “has taken the notable step to purchase laptops available for loan on all of their U.S. flights, meaning uninterrupted productivity and service throughout their journey,” chief executive Akbar Al Baker said in a press release. “...We have not rested until we could offer a true solution to our passengers.”
Non-business travelers on Qatar will get an hour of free Wi-Fi and a special rate of $5 for access for an entire flight.
Meanwhile, Emirates launched its own gate-check service for laptops and tablets.

While the ban is inconvenient, aviation experts say it could be based on a legitimate threat. Kudos to these airlines for making the best of a sticky situation.
