Falling in love with someone is unavoidable, especially when this someone who your heart beats for is Rob Lucci.

Well—how can you not fall in love with him when he's just so handsome, and undeniably hot? The man of your dreams, really.

“Hey, Lucci.” You greet, a smile, and a small blush forming on your face the instant the raven-haired man looked at you with his brows raised as his muscles flexed as he placed a piece of lumber down to talk to you.

“Yeah? Is there anything you need, Y/n?” Lucci asks through ventriloquism, not speaking normally as per usual as you hummed, showing him a basket of goods.

“Here, bread and biscuits, I made them for you, hehe.” You chuckle, offering him the basket that he took with a grateful nod, the corner of his lips tugging upwards to a small smile that immediately faded away, not wanting to break his cool demeanor.

“Thanks, I appreciate it.” He mutters, taking a biscuit from the bag and eating it, and giving another to Hattori who cooed, fluttering his wings.

“Mhm, this is good.” He mentions, eating a piece after another, causing your smile to grow bigger.

“Is it? Well, that's good to know—I made it real good because it's you who'd taste them..” You mumble, shyly tucking your hair behind your ear as Lucci stared at you.

“This is bad.” He says to himself, taking a big gulp as a heavy sigh leaves his lips. “I can't have this continue..”

“Y/n shouldn't have her feelings for me grow bigger, and deeper—and I definitely should not like her back..” Crushing the biscuit in his hand by accident, Lucci got lost in his thoughts, thinking of this connection you two have...

Yes, he knows that you like him. And yes, he likes you too. But he knows that he shouldn't, for the sake of the duty he's assigned to fulfill.

Still, it's unavoidable. He can't avoid liking you.

“—cchi? Lucci, are you okay? You're suddenly so silent, and... You crushed the biscuit I made..” Whispering your words, the foreman then snapped back to you.

“Ah, I'm alright, and sorry about that—I was uh, getting lost in my thoughts.” He stated, waving off what just happened and proceeding to snack off as you watch him with a smile. “Whatever you say..”

“..What should I do?” Lucci asks himself, glancing at you for a moment before transferring his focus on the skies.

“Y/n will just interfere with my work, but—” “Oh, why hello there, Y/n, Lucci.”

Having Kaku interrupt his thoughts with a greeting, he raised his brows at the male as you waved your hand hello.

“Heya, Kaku. What brings you here?” You chimed, having the long nosed man stand in between you and Lucci.

“Well, nothing much. I was just drawn here because I saw Lucci eating these goodies.” Taking a bread from the basket, Kaku then looked at you and Lucci.

“You made these for Lucci, right, Y/n?” The shipwright says, a smirk forming in his face upon seeing you nod.

“Maaan, must be nice having a girlfriend making you all these, Lucci..!” Kaku sighs dreamily, nudging the man beside him who had his mouth fall agape as you exploded into a blushing mess.

“A-A-Ahhh! Kaku, no—n..no, Lucci and I we-we're not dating!!” You stammered, your blush growing bigger each second, realizing that you were being too defensive—making it obvious that you're in love with the raven-haired hunk who smiled, looking at you in some way—“but, yes, maybe..”

“Maybe it's not so bad having a lover.” Slinging his arm over your shoulder, Lucci pulled you close to him as you screeched, blushing profusely.

“What do you mean ‘not dating,’ Y/n? Look at you and Lucci being so close, haha~!” Laughing as he continued to tease you who shook your hands in the air, still denying him.

“L-Lucci, r..right? W-We're not dating..?” You muttered, electric shocks surging throughout your body by the contact of your skin and his.

“Yet.” Lucci says with his normal voice, looking at you with a smirk before he further explaining himself, “Yes, we're not dating, yet.”

“So, what do you say, Y/n?” He asks, returning to speaking using ventriloquism, his question flustering you.

“Uhm, uh—..sure.” Placing your hands on your heated cheeks, you looked up to Lucci who is now your lover. “Good.”

“Gaaahh! Oh you two, young love! How sweet! Even sweeter than these pastries!” Kaku gasps, taking a few more of the foods you had given to Lucci before walking away, shaking you two off with his mouth stuffed...

Yes, Lucci had made up his mind—he's gonna spend the rest of his months in Galley-La with you, not as a helping hand in making his cover look more normal for the company, but as a lover, his lover.

The sound of bowls and utensils dropping on the floor woke Y/N up from her slumber. She felt around the bed to realize that Eddie was not there beside her.

She got up and saw Eddie trying to mix some things into a bowl.

“It’s like three in the morning, what the fuck are you doing?”

“Baking cookies, babe. Why are they called cookies if they’re baked? Shouldn’t they be called bakies instead?” Eddie rambled as he grabbed way too many chocolate chips and mixed it in the bowl.

“Babes, are you stoned?”

“Does it matter?”

Y/N rolled her eyes as she made her way into the kitchen helping Eddie to whatever concoction he was trying to make.

Y/N placed the cookies inside the oven. She looked at the couch and saw Eddie passed out. She just shook her head as she waited for the cookies to bake.

Once done, she placed them in the counter and went to the couch where she slotted herself beside Eddie, as he enveloped his arms around her, continuing the slumber both them of desperately needed.
