Day 23: My most expensive cosplay is probably Cinderella because I made it for my prom dress and I didn't want to wear a hoop skirt to prom so underneath is entirely petticoats. Plus to get the color I wanted I used a bunch of different blues and purples. Day 26: Do you have any unfinished cosplays? Do you plan on finishing them?...The two that come to mind are America from Hetalia and Takamina from AKB0048. The picture above is the extent of how complete America will probably ever be. As much as I loved Hetalia when I first got into anime it's not a priority anymore so I doubt I'll ever finish him unless one of my friends really wants to do a group. As for Takamina I love her character and she has so many adorable outfits that in another world where I have time and unlimited money I would finish her. Day 25: The cosplay you put the most effort into...depending on the definition of effort, I've got to say Cinderella or Yang. Cinderella because it took me a couple months to finish and I'd already been planning on making her since the remake came out in 2015. Plus it was originally for prom and I wanted it to be perfect. As for Yang since it was the second version I already had an idea how to construct her cosplay but it took a lot of effort because I'd never used suede before and I knew I wanted to enter her into a craftsmanship competition so it had to be clean and fit correctly. Day 28: Where do you work and store your cosplays?... At school I spread out everywhere from my desk to the whole rug and normally cover most of the floor. When I'm at home I have my beautiful folding table that holds everything I could possibly need in the spare bedroom. As for storing cosplays they take up about half of my closet either here at school or home and my wigs are all bagged on a shelf. Day 27: How many wigs do you own and which is your favorite?...So I have roughly 16ish wigs give or take because I don't have them all with me and I may be forgetting some. Most I bought but some I traded with friends. My favorite is the one I'm wearing as Cinderella which is really funny because it's the base of a ponytail wig so the layers are funky since it's meant to be pulled back. But I like it curled. . Oh boy the 30 day cosplay challenge is almost over and I think I'm gonna miss it. Day 20: Have you ever won any cosplay awards?...I'm proud to say yes! Day 24: My most comfortable cosplay is Hinata. I'm pretty sure I ran around my house because I was so excited when I got it that it was soft and fit perfectly. And my most uncomfortable cosplay is Yang. Now don't get me wrong she's a lot more comfortable than the first version but I still have limited mobility. Plus I've got a lot of skin showing so I get cold easily and sweat in the jacket top. Day 11: Something cosplay-related I will never do is stop cosplaying? I've thought about it and I think I'm open to most stuff. I can't think of anything so I just hope I never stop cosplaying because it's given me a reason to learn a bunch of skills like sewing, prop making, and makeup. Day 10: The dream cosplay that will never happen is...honestly I'm not sure. Most of my cosplans are up in the air until I decide a convention I want to wear them at. Day 22: Have you ever worn cosplay in a regular situation?...totally! In high school I would wear my cosplays or pieces of them during spirit week. Funny story the last day of spirit week last year I wore my long green wig because it was school colors day and ours were green and white. Day 15: My least favorite thing about cosplay is either when I take off my wig and the makeup remains so my face looks really weird (See picture). Day 12: I've got a lot of cosplay idols since everyone is so cool but to name a few, I look up to @cowbuttcrunchies because their cosplays and tutorials are insanely detailed and they are helpful if you have questions and just overall awesome people. And while I only started following them recently, @skitsofanacts are super cool too.
