Another fanmade Devil Fruit for another OC! I originally wanted to give it a more fantastical shape befitting its name, (kinda like how the Hana Hana no Mi looks like a flower), but sadly, I couldn't figure out a way to naturally incorporate a playing card shape into a fruit- And I wanted to make the suits look more like seeds and actually make them 3D objects, but I couldn't figure out an efficient way to do it and have it look nice, (i.e., one that didn't involve me just placing them all myself.) So I'm not as happy with this one as I was with the previous Devil Fruit, (which I'll probably be making a profile on later), but I hope you guys like it. ^^ I might remake this in the future when I'm not feeling lazy.

Edit: Forgot to add, I wanted to thank all my dear lovely friends on Discord that provided me with their feedback and criticism before I finished the final product! You all are wonderful! ♡♡♡

these were both before I got the wrists figured out, you can see it a little in the first one, but I managed to hide it pretty well(I mainly did these to see if I could convince myself it was fine and I didn't need to figure something else out)

the first one was also before I redid a bunch of the face

these were from when I had to load an autosave and Blender "lost" the textures for a minute

I kinda just thought this was funny, from pretty early on in rigging, getting the ears to only move the ears lol

pretty self-explanatory, didn't think y'all'd wanna go through a bunch of separate images

they're sorted roughly by age (I guess?): the ones in the bottom right are newer than the top left

they were going to have a spiked tongue, but at some point I realized that was a weirdly high amount of detail compared to the rest of it, so it's just kinda bumpy now

3D print sculpted by Bulkamancer, printed in Siraya Tech grey UV Resin on my Elegoo Mars 2, and hand-painted by me! I cannot be more pleased with how he turned out 🥰

Had to share all these gorgeous details, like the TEXTURES on this models are just gorgeous! All that filigree and bead detailing is raised which made painting it much easier, but still very tedious (so worth the results though). This was my first time painting a face bigger than tabletop mini scale, and boy was I intimidated. Had some friends point me to ball-jointed doll makers and learned about detailing faces with chalk pastels, so I used pastels to give his cheeks some colour, blush the tips of his ears, and make the shadows under his eyes. I could go back and add more colour/texture to his hair but I think its best if I leave it, lest I play with it too much and end up ruining things. I have to keep reminding myself that just cause I can see things in macro lens photos, doesn't mean I'm actually able to go correct those things 😅

Regardless, I'm so so happy with how he turned out, and its crazy that I can look at this and go "me!!! I PAINTED THAT!! ME!!!", and now I have a stunning model of everyones favourite lil rat bastard (affectionate) vampire mans💕
