in regards to my earlier post, here is my new OC, Calista!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
information about her: one of Kinzie’s early online friends back when they first got with the FBI. They were quite a decent friendship, until something happened that got Calista locked in the ward for a couple years after. They’re also pretty fond of the 3rd Street Saints - usually getting along really well with The Boss, and always wanting to make sure Kinzie’s okay. They don’t officially join the Saints until 2019, when the Zin Empire wreck Earth. Their motive is to avenge the planet, and cause mayhem along the way.
pronouns: she/they

3rd Street Saints (2014-present, but not officially a Saint till 2019.)

Ayo, this looks sicks as hell. Considering the series is dead, I might just incorporate this as outfits some of the Saints wear depending on where they're doing work. I love the hell out of it.

Speaking of the crew, here's another piece of concept art that I really enjoy. I'd also use this as reference for anyone in the gang as well.

On September 10th we venerate Elevated Ancestor, Voodoo Queen of Louisiana, & Saint, Marie Catherine Laveau on her 222nd birthday 🎉
[for our Hoodoos of the Vodou Pantheon]
Tumblr media
Marie Catherine Laveau was a dedicated Hoodoo, healer, herbalist, & midwife who, "traveled the streets [of New Orleans] like she owned them", as the most infamous Voodoo Queen of New Orleans.
Marie C. Laveau I was born a "Free Mulatto" in today's French Quarter in what was then, New France); to a mother & grandmother who were both born into slavery & later freed via freedom papers. It is believed that she grew up in the St. Ann Street cottage of her maternal grandmother.
She married Jacques Santiago-Paris, a "Quadroon" "Free Man of Color", who fled as a refugee from Saint-Domingue, Haiti from the Haitian Revolution in the former French colony . After his passing, she became known as "The Widow Paris". She then worked as a hairdresser catering to White families & later entered a domestic partnership with a French nobleman his death. She excelled at obtaining inside information on her wealthy patrons by instilling fear in their servants whom she either paid or cured of mysterious ailments. Although she never abandoned her Catholic roots, she became increasingly interested in her mother’s African traditional beliefs. The Widow Paris learned her craft from a ‘Voodoo doctor’ known variously as Doctor John or John Bayou.
Marie C. Laveau I is said to have intiated into Voodoo career sometime in the 1820s. She's believed to be descended from a long line of Voodoo Priestesses, all bearing her same name. She was also a lifelong devout Catholic. It didn’t take long before Marie C. Laveau I dominated New Orleans Voodoo culture & society before claiming title of Queen. She was the 3rd Voodoo Queen of NOLA - after Queen Sanité Dédé & Queen Marie Salopé. During her decades tenure, she was the premier beacon of hope and service to customers seeking private consultations - to aid in matters such as family disputes, health, finances, etc, created/sold gris gris, perforemed exorcisms. While her daughter Marie II was known for her more theatrical displays of public events, Marie C. Laveau I was less flamboyant in her persona. She conducted her work in 3 primary locations throughout the city: her home on St. Ann Street, Congo Square, & at Lake Pontchartrain. Despite one account of a challenge to her authority in 1850, Marie C. Laveau I maintained her leadership & influence.
The Queen died peacefully in her sleep in her ole cottage home on St. Ann Street. Her funeral was conducted according to the rite of the Catholic Church & in the absence of any Voodoo rites. To her Voodoo followers, she's venerated as a Folk Saint. In² addition to her Priesthood in Voodoo and title of Queen, she is also remembered for her community activism; visiting prisoners, providing lessons to women of the community, & doing ritual work for those in need.
She is generally believed to have been buried in plot 347, the Glapion family crypt in Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1, New Orleans. As of March 1st, 2015, there is no longer public access to St. Louis Cemetery No. 1. Entry with a tour guide is required due to continued vandalism & tomb raiding.
We pour libations & give her💐 today as we celebrate her for her love for & service to the people, through poverty, misfortune, bondage, & beyond.
Offering suggestions: flowers + libations at her grave, catholic hymns, holy water, gold rings/bracelets, money
‼️Note: offering suggestions are just that & strictly for veneration purposes only. Never attempt to conjure up any spirit or entity without proper divination/Mediumship counsel.‼️

scopOphilic_documentary_111 - scopOphilic1997 presents a new micro-messaging series: small, subtle, and often unintentional messages we send and receive verbally and non-verbally.
We hope you've enjoyed this series walking back in time. It was by no means comprehensive. And, there's def a few that didn't make it, yet. But, maybe it will continue going down the road.
Memories of places in the past (former gay-lgbtq+ bars/clubs) (L-R, T-B): The Saint Marks Baths (St Marks Street - East Village), Boy Bar (St Marks Street - East Village), Porno Bookshop (3rd Avenue - East Village - forgot name but it's referenced in David Levitt's book "The Lost Language Of Cranes"), & The Palladium (14th street - East Village)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As a special thanks for indulging in 10 days of old school LGBTQ+ nostalgia we present: Nightclub invites to the Palladium, Boy Bar, and MEAT (shown in image scopOphilic_documentary_104). The ticket is for an ACT UP Benefit in 1990 which featured Grace Jones. Grace was scheduled to perform 3 songs. She played for 2+ hours non-stop & most of it naked! Keith Haring was a member of ACT UP and approved the use of his image on the ticket before dying that year. Also shown is an invite for a Heritage Of Pride benefit with one of Keith's images from 1986. A business-card size pass for the Sunday night parties with the dance floor wall that Keith created. And, a Palladium drink ticket from that same mid-to-late 1980s period. Finally, an invite/comp postcard from Boy Bar on St Marks circa 1985. And, an invite from MEAT circa 1992. (Apologies for the censorship. I don't want tumblr to flag it.)

Saint Rose of Viterbo 1233-1251 Feast day: September 4 Patronage: florists, flower growers, people in exile, people rejected by religious orders, Viterbo, Italy
As a young child, Saint Rose of Viterbo had visions of Jesus and Mary. At the age of 3, she brought back to life her deceased Aunt, after laying hands on her. Rose became a 3rd Order Franciscan by 9 years old and shortly after had a vision of Christ’s suffering because of man’s sin. This inspired her, at age 10, to preach Christ’s passion and repentance for sin, in the streets of Viterbo. She requested to enter the Poor Clares at 15 but was rejected because of her poverty. Rose died at the young age of 18 of what was believed to be a heart defect and was laid to rest in the convent that refused her admission. Her body is incorrupt to this day.

Official All Saints Street Nick/Lynn and Nini/Lily art from the FRZ fan page
I've mentioned the team battle events between the three sister webcomics under the FRZ umbrella, but there is also a Couples/Ship battle between all of them. And as you can guess, Nick/Lynn is the top WSJ ship and now a days gets second and or third place after more popular Fei Ren Zai ships.
Tumblr media
This illustration comes from the 2019 contest where Nick/Lynn got 3rd place. Not an usual WSJ artist, so I am interested on who created this illustration. They might be an illustrator for FRZ or There are Beasts, so if you have any information, please send me a message!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These tiny illustrations were for the 2020 ship battle where Nick/Lynn got 4th place, Nini/Lily got 6th and surprisingly Ira/Wenwen got 9th!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, you might notice I've posted these ones before, but that is because I got them from the twitter account with no context. This is the context: they are from the 2021 Ship battle where Nick/Lynn got 3rd and Nini/Lily got 4th.
Ok, so for 2022 or 2023 I can't find more ship battles. Guess they stopped hosting them. And as a bonus: Here are some Nick/Lynn and Nini/Lily illustrations for Christmas 2022. Again, would love to know who actually made this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And as an extra extra bonus, and because we're on a NiLyn and NiLi kick: I found the highest resolution available for the Uniformed illustrations I was looking for. I would still kill for the physical postcards, but man am I glad I found them.
Tumblr media
As mentioned in the tittle, the source for all of this is the FRZ (official) fan page.
Here are the google drive links for the highest resolution:
Updated link for pfp/avatar/icons:
And I'll be posting the last one in Lingzi's art:

Love Songs and Shit (Extended Masterpost)
Pairing: Jake Kiszka x YN
Genre: Angst, Hurt, Fluff, Smut (honestly it varies depending on the chapter)
Wordcount: if only I knew...
Plot: YN is a popular American singer-songwriter who, on a rainy evening in 2018, crossed path with the members of Greta Van Fleet. It didn't take long for the usually detached and fiercely independent girl to experience an unfamiliar itch. As she put pen to paper, it seemed a certain long-haired guitarist had her thinking about writing love songs and shit.
Concept: Each Album is a period of YN's journey, each track is a song she wrote after a specific chapter, so basically her discography is a chronological story of her life (with Jake, mostly). I'm currently not posting chapters in chronological order, but everything is organized in chronological order on this Masterpost.
Disclaimer: All the album covers are paintings by Norwegian painter Henrik Aarrestad Uldalen I edited. So, credit to that guy.
Also some chapters may involve triggering themes, I'll add the specific trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter. Stay safe, besties.
