Aight here goes ✨️Nothing✨️ aka the probably horribly unbalanced Mael fanspec. Keeping the necromancer green theme for the icons! Also credit to @soulbeastdragon for letting me use their post dividers as a base for my own divider 🫡
This miiiight get reworked several times *coughs* I did say I was doing it just for fun as someone who sucks severely at mmos, but if someone wants to give feedback also for fun go ahead ^^. Most details such as skill range, uptime, cd, and boon/condi amount missing for aforementioned reasons.
The spec would likely make good use of power and healing power builds and be good for cc and burst DPS or group healing. Keep in mind I'm not trying to come up with a balanced spec that fills specific gameplay niches the class is missing, but rather a spec purely for lore reasons.
Diabolist
"Devour death itself, and rise."
"The Diabolist has become closely acquaintanced with death, and chained themself to a demonic source of energy. Utilize the Diabolist Shroud to greatly enhance your equipped weapon skills, at the cost of taking constant damage."
Diabolists excel in burst damage and crowd control and gain access to Alysidomancy skills, creating spectral portals to draw on hellish chains to immobilize themselves for health and life force generation, or immobilize and pull foes for a quick kill. They also gain access to an offhand shield which provides boon stealing and pulling capabilities.
Skills and Traits under readmore.
Skills
Shield skills:
4: Putrid Aegis: assume a shielded stance, stealing boons for each time struck. 4s, vulnerable to cc
5: Hell's Gate: manifest a spectral portal upon the shield's surface, pulling and chilling the target. -> Hell's Breach: shield bash the target, inflicting daze and stealing a boon.
Profession skill:
Alysidomancy: use of demonic chains (short cast animation plays, can be cast while moving)
Slot skills:
Heal: Chains of Suppression: Immobilize yourself and gain stability and protection. Sacrifice life force to heal (chargable skill)
Utility:
Chains of Invitation: Open a spectral portal and use chains to pull out a shade*. (Can stack with normal shade. This version does not gain access to Haunt, but generates additional life force)
*similar to the Shambling Horror, the shade model is slightly altered, with a subtle blue fire effect instead of the green haze.
Chains of Esurience: Pull up to three enemies towards you, transfer a condition to each, and inflict chill. Generate life force and gain regeneration.
Chains of Terror: Stunbreak. Launch yourself towards the target and inflict fear.
Chains of Inevitability: Immobilize an enemy, corrupt a boon and gain might and fury.
Elite: Chains of Perdition: Immobilize and lift up to 5 enemies around you with demonic hooks, inflicting damage and gaining life force for each second spent suspended up to a max of 4. (Cancelable via stunbreak.) Gain 10s of might, fury and quickness. Bonus chance to trigger unique voiceline ("Let me hear you beg!")
Profession mechanic: Diabolist Shroud: Diabolists forgo Shroud-specifc skills in favor of greatly enhanced damage on currently equipped weapons. Life force does not act as a second health bar; Ticks down slower than usual but ticks down health as well.
Visuals: Diabolist Shroud spawns a fanged portal upon your chest, and every glow effect on the character turns blue. The Shroud's eyes are wide and circular. Character model and weapons gain a shifting, smoky shader.
Audio: loud chain rattling noises in Diabolist Shroud and when using Alysidomancies.
Traits:
Minor Proficiency: You can now wield shields.
Minor Adept: Faustian Bargain: Death Shroud becomes Diabolist Shroud, granting powerful offense at the cost of forgoing Shroud-specific skills and losing health over time. Gain access to Alysidomancies.
Major Adept:
1 - Self-Flagellation: Self-immobilize inflicts bleeding, but generates additional life force.
2 - Death's Gambit: Deal increased strike damage (15%) when below 50% HP.
3 - Squalid Symbiosis: Chains of Suppression now launch phantom links to nearby allies, sharing the amount healed. Reduced recharge on shield skills. Shield boon steal now shares boons with linked allies.
Minor Master: Hellhound's Ambush: Entering Diabolist Shroud grants 5 seconds of swiftness and stability.
Major Master:
1 - Fatal Hypothermia: chilling a foe additionally inflicts slow. (2s?)
2 - Malleus Maleficarum: Immobilizing foes grants might and inflicts burning.
3 - Feeding Frenzy: Using skill 5 in Diabolist Shroud additionally grants quickness and regeneration. (5 s?)
Minor Grandmaster: Terminal Lucidity: Gain health and protection when entering Diabolist Shroud. (Reasonably small heal)
Major Grandmaster:
1 - Sell Your Soul: 10% of vitality is converted to power and healing power. 10% of toughness is converted to ferocity and precision.
2 - Evergaol: immobilize effects on foes last longer. (2s) Immobilized foes take increased damage (20%?)
3 - Pandaemonium: Chains of Invitation additionally summons a second shade. Gain regeneration when both shades are active.
Associated Items:
Diabolist's Shield
Shorn Salvation (ascended shield)
Diabolist's Shackles (gauntlets)
Superior Rune of the Diabolist (power + healing power)
#fook it I'm posting this#If this is unbalanced: I Know. XD I can't do game balancing. *taps sign* This is just for fun#gw2#guild wars 2#gw2 necromancer#gw2 fanspec#diabolist#also gonna put under my boy's tag for Lore#Maelmordha#Thematically sword would be perfect as the proficiency weapon but alas SotO did it already haha#it keeps the theme of healing and damaging yourself#About the Commander

tbh i have no idea what dean is talking abt at the beginning of that scene w/ the MOL case files but apparently the writers were gonna go the route of having samndean disregard crowley killing their "friends" and everyone they ever "saved" to get them to hand over the demon tablet. which is, yknow, fun. but also not really atypical for them. the season would've almost definitely ended in the exact same place if they'd kept this in.
I do like dean going "sometimes good people gotta die for the greater good" like he is combatting sam's Hysteria with Logic when we know dean doesn't believe that when it butts up against his feelings specifically (read: when it's sam's life on the line and dean isn't the one toying with it).
but yeah dean invoking mary's memory to get sam to forget his pesky little hangups abt crowley murdering ppl they know for the bargaining power was very John of him. he's done SO much worse though it takes a lot for dean to shock me post-s4 lmfao.

"The drive for higher wages was even more marked in the first half of the 1850s, when contractors' difficulties in securing labour at the prices they hoped to pay temporarily increased the labourers' bargaining power. Labourers on the Junction were part of the insurrection of labour in the opening years of the 1850s. They began work on the canal in January 1852 at a rate of 3s. and struck in March for an increase to 3s. 6d. To superintendent Page the worst feature of the strike was that it flexed the labourers' muscle and would "pave the way to future difficulties." His fears were confirmed within a month. In April labourers won an increase to 4s. and at the beginning of May a further raise to 4s. 6d. Intermittent work stoppages continued through the remaining two years of construction, culminating in major strikes in August and November 1854. A similar pattern emerged on the Chats, where again the difficulty of acquiring men rendered the contractor particularly vulnerable to demands for higher wages. In January 1855 labourers on the canal engaged in a strike of almost two weeks' duration and returned to work, having won an increase to 3s. 94. per day. Two months later the labourers won a further increase to 45. Some of these men would then leave "for the spring cropping of their farms." But their positions were taken by men who appear to have understood their value and appear to have been as willing to push up wages. By July three more strikes had forced wages up to 5s. 10d. per day." The following January, labourers were unsuccessful in their attempt to resist a reduction to 4s. 6d. But undeterred, they won strikes for 5s. in February and for 5s. 6d. in May.
In their turn, railway labourers became notorious for their propensity to strike. Strikes on private projects were characterized by an engineer on the Great Western as something "as predictable as the croaking of the frogs." The same might have been said on both the Nova Scotia and the European and North American Railways. On the Nova Scotia Railway a contractor argued that experienced men expected and accepted strikes as one of the inevitable aspects of rail way construction. The Saint John Daily Morning News made the same argument concerning strikes on the European and North American in 1858 when it gave its opinion and reportedly the opinion of men who knew the business:
[B]ad weather and 'strikes' are things inseparable in all railroad undertakings, and are allowed for by a man, as of the adverse contingencies, in making up his estimates. However, it worried that the contractors might not have given serious enough consideration to what strikes would cost them, after a lengthy strike in early March over wage rates and hours, followed by a ten-day strike in early May, also over wage rates and hours; and it warned its readers to be prepared for the contractors to use the many strikes they had faced as arguments in favour of increases in their contract prices and delays in meeting their deadlines.
Sketchy details suggest an aggressive approach to wage demands similar to that taken by labourers on the canals in the same decade. In May 1856 labourers on the Nova Scotia Railway sustained a lengthy strike of ten days' duration to win an increase from 5s. to 5s. 6d. per day. Within a month labourers working near Windsor were striking for an increase to 6s. 3d." In April of the following year men on the European and North American began the spring strike offensive with a demand for 6s. 3d. A year later, however, deepening depression was reflected in the labourers' more modest demand that wages which had been reduced to 4s. for the winter months be increased to 5s.
Circumstances could render a contractor unusually vulnerable to labourers' demands: the pressure of a deadline combined with a scarcity of labour might make a modest wage increase more attractive than a troublesome delay and may go some way in explaining the success strikers on public works enjoyed. On the other hand, the constant struggle with escalating costs always gave contractors reason to outright resist strikers' demands, and this appears to have been the course of action most frequently adopted. Initially contractors might attempt to use labourers in the immediate area to break strikes, perhaps hoping to capitalize on factional or ethnic divisions, but they also brought in men from a distance. The rudimentary nature of the transportation network of the 1840s, and to a lesser extent the 1850s, could mean costly delays in securing labourers from outside the area, but a delay could be preferable to giving in to strikers. When labourers on the Junction struck in August 1854, as a follow-up to strikes earlier in the season and immediately on the heels of the cholera epidemic which had already disrupted the work, contractor Counter had had enough. He sent his overseers to Quebec to hire one hundred labourers and to Kingston for further men to replace his workforce. Attempts to continue the work set the stage for conflict, though no the indiscriminate violence the press was tutoring citizens to associate with strikes.
Some strikes involved little, if any, violence. Although he claimed to have looked very hard, Dr Jarrow could find no instances of "outrage" during the first week of the 1843 Marshville strike of fifteen hundred labourers along the Welland. In another large strike on the Welland the following summer, the St Catharines Journal reported there were no riotous disturbances. But protecting jobs could prove a violent business, particularly when surplus labourers offered a ready supply of potential strikebreakers and contractors went the extra miles to find replacement workers. Their sheer numbers meant strikers presented a formidable body whose presence at strategic points and marching en masse or patrolling in organized groups gave would-be strikebreakers pause for thought, particularly given that the assembled strikers were usually well armed with bludgeons, firearms, and the picks and shovels of their work. Any who required clearer warnings of the consequences of attempting to work found them in death threats posted along the work. Those who did not respond to written and verbal threats were driven off the site, frequently pursued to their shanties, and encouraged to leave the area. Men who turned out to work in sufficient numbers might respond in kind, chasing strikers off or standing their ground to fight, though contractors and government officials argued that even when those willing to work were in the majority they usually were intimidated from doing so.
Strikers applied maximum pressure by targeting foremen, contractors, and their property. This was particularly true in work stoppages prompted by lost wages when tactics came closest to the "riots" and "lawless exploits" described in press and official correspondence and could extend to threats to destroy the work itself and any traffic passing through the canals or along the rails. This fits the broader pattern uncovered for the antebellum United States, where the loss of wages accounted for a significant proportion of the violence related to strikes." On the European and North American, Police Magistrate Scoullar assured the government that what he considered the unusual degree of restlessness and violence on one section of the railway during the winter of 1858-9 was prompted by concerns over late and potentially lost wages. He was confident it would subside if the new contractor scheduled to take over operations proved more punctual in paying wages. In the less violent strikes over wage rates, foremen and other supervisory personnel were still targets, intimidated into lying low, leaving the area, or openly demonstrating their support by patrolling with gangs of strikers. On the Welland, James McCloud, foreman for Thompson and Company at Turney's quarry, gave a firsthand report of being warned during a September 1844 strike to "attend to patrol with the mob" or get off the work.
Attacks on contractors' property focused on items necessary to the work, from wheelbarrows to railway cars, though the motivation in destroying property frequently went beyond the immediate desire to hold up the work during one strike and was a deliberate targeting of machinery which threatened to erode job opportunities, as the situation on the Welland in the 1840s illustrates. Here, running parallel to strikes, canallers repeatedly threatened to burn the dredging machinery Carmichael was bringing from Buffalo because it would reduce the number of labourers required. Power took this threat seriously enough to recommend speeding up expansion of other sections in order to decrease the number of labourers at the Deep Cut, the "headquarters" of those agitating for destruction of the dredge.
The Chats and Junction in the following decade provide clear examples of a similar two-pronged campaign against machinery. Here the Canadiens and Anglo-Celts, many of them local farmer-lumbermen mounted a particularly aggressive attack on contractors' plant and machinery, including cutting down derricks and blowing up one of the powder magazines. Superintendent Gallwey on the Chats argued that the attacks went beyond the vandalism which often accompanied strikes and were part of the labourers' resistance to "all Labor saving machinery" which they perceived as a threat to their own power. "[T]he determination of the people here (on the Works) appears to be to destroy all the machinery etc." Gallwey warned that given this general attitude, damage to machinery, magazines, and the works was likely to be very great." Also from the Chats came allegations that strikers attacked the buildings and horses of the contractor: On the evening of one mass walkout the contractor's barn and stables were torched and one horse killed in the blaze. Dramatic prelude to the strike or coincidence? Many in the vicinity believed it was the latter and thought the labourers were being unjustly accused. According to one government official, "Public Opinion in the area" held that the labourers were not responsible. Far from setting the fire, they had struggled to save the horses and had submitted a petition to contract tor McDonell denying that a labourer would take such action."

Pack 1, pick 1 Virtue of Persistence. I know, right? Pick 2 Cut In. Pick 3 Torch the Tower. Pick 4 Hopeful Vigil over Johann, Apprentice Sorcerer. I'm not seeing any black cards and I'm thinking I might need to abandon Virtue. If that's the case, I'll take the generically good aggressive card over the build-around. Pick 5 Grand Ball Guest and I'm feeling solidly RW aggro. Pick 6 Bramble Familiar over Kellan's Lightblades, a rare-draft mistake. Pick 7 Cursed Courtier over Charmed Clothier and Kellan's Lightblades. I got an 11th pick Stockpiling Celebrant, which felt like a really good signal.
Pack 2, pick 1 all the good cards were black! I should have taken Edgewall Pack over the Devouring Sugarmaw I took, but yikes. What an awful pack for me. Pick 2 Hopeful Vigil over Sharae of Numbing Depths, Threadbind Clique, and Hamlet Glutton, but I'm hoping the Stockpiling Celebrant will come back. Pick 3 easy Cut In. Pick 4 easy Grand Ball Guest. Pick 5 Monstrous Rage over Grabby Giant. The Edgewall Pack from pick 1 wheeled, as did Stockpile Celebrant, but the rest of the packs had no playables. I'm sure I should be RW, it's just the packs have been pretty bad.
Pack 3 Pick 1 I look longingly at Agatha's Champion before taking Hopeful Vigil over Knightly Valor, which I think will wheel. Pick 2 I see Tough Cookie and feel like crying as I take Monstrous Rage over Bellowing Bruiser, which I think was wrong. Pick 3 Hopeful Vigil over Utopia Sprawl and 3rd Monstrous Rage. Pick 4 Princess Takes Flight over Glass Casket and another Hopeful Vigil. Pick 5 Redcap Thief over Knight of Doves, which I wish I had back. I think I have enough bargain to make the Knight pretty good. The Knightly Valor did wheel. But again, the rest of the packs were kind of bad.
I'm not unhappy with my deck, but it's just really unfortunate to not have any powerful, first pickable rares or uncommons.
My first loss came mostly from a Flick a Coin on Cursed Courtier ramping into a 5/5 The Goosemother on turn 4. I had to expend too many resources to deal with the board, and just got too far behind.
My second loss came down mostly to Cleave Shadows adventure killing my Cursed Courtier and then just infinite 4 mana 3/4s. I feel like this is always what happens when I draft aggressive decks, I play against the one guy in the draft with bad and slow creatures that I can't attack through.
Cursed Courtier sucks, and I took it out of my deck at this point.
My last loss came to just an unreasonable number of topdecks. I was winning until they topdecked Gruff Triplets into Hamlet Glutton into two more creatures. And after I lost I saw the line that would have got me at least a chance to draw out of it.
So really, if Cursed Courtier was any other card and I played a little better, I might have avoided at least one loss. Still 4-3 is a fine result, it's 93% of the way to a free draft :)

Obey Me Demon Boys Playing UNO
Me and my friends ironically played UNO and i got a thought of making a headcanon about it. So here y’all go!
MAMMON:
The one making everybody laugh
Gets angered 2 seconds in because he got skipped
Tries to cheat but gets caught every time
Feel like everyone is playing against him (secretly they are)
Pulls in the deck 20 times just to get one blue card
Ends with 15 cards
Supposed to be good at gambling but is terrible at Uno
Victim of all +2s and +4s
The one that has a +2 but then everyone else has a +2 and it lands back on him giving him +12 cards
Wins 1 out of 30 games
Asmodeus:
Has all the reverse cards just in case something happens.
Pouts at the start because, similar to mammon, he got skipped.
Tries to cheat by flirting with S/o for cards.
Suggest that they should combine Uno and drinking to make a drinking game
Only has to pull 3 times for a card
Teases Mammon about his amount of cards
Doesn’t have a +2 so he’ll reverse to keep it away from him.
Wins 6/30 times
BEELZEBUB:
Tries to eat the cards
Makes everyone think he has UNO because he ate all his cards, but stopped mid way and had one card left
Lucky one
Had all the colored cards at the beginning
Even if you shuffle the deck 10 times he’ll end up having all the colored cards
Doesn’t really know how to play
Tries to peak at others cards
Thinks he’s playing go fish
Literally eating a sandwich in the middle of playing
Wins 3/30 times
BELPHAGOR:
Literally falling asleep.
Has all the skips.
Skipped Mammon just because it’s Mammon. Accidentally skipped Asmo while he was thinking the next person he would skip was Lucifer.
The reason Lucifer doesn’t win all the time
Similar to his twin, he’s lucky.
Doesn’t have to draw much
Helps Beelzebub win
If Belphie wasn’t trying to help his twin then Beel would probably never win a game
Win 3/30 times
SATAN:
Plans out every game
Has back up plans
Tries to bargain with S/o to help him defeat Lucifer
Also has all colored cards at the beginning
Plans against Lucifer with Belphagor
Pretty skilled at Uno
Wins 4/30 times
LEVIATHAN:
Causes a riot along side Mammon
Unlucky at the beginning, but it gets better mid way
His cards suck at the beginning
Super competitive but doesn’t pay attention
Was his idea to play UNO
Plans against Mammon just because he wants to
If they’re playing a variant of Uno he has all the wild or special cards
Wins 5/30 times
LUCIFER:
Sound the trumpets for royalty
Bow before him
The god of Uno
Has +2 and +4s every. Time.
Has multiple +2s and +4s
Outsmarts everyone
Spares MC
But Mammon? Oh no. Mammon is his victim of all +2s and +4s.
Loves to watch his brothers suffer trying to beat him
Shrugs if he doesn’t win a game when secretly he’s brewing with anger.
Wins 8/30 times
Would win more if it wasn’t for Belphie and Satan
There’s a part of him that wants him to lose so his brothers may feel satisfied
#obey me#obey me!#obey me lucifer#obey me mammon#obey me fanfic#obey me leviathan#obey me headcanons#obey me hc#obey me asmodeus#obey me satan#obey me belphegor#obey me beelzebub#obey me! shall we date?

Beware of speculation
WAR produces speculation. As the aftermath of the First World War and the Second World War saw massively produced amounts tend to make governments the target of financial speculators. This is because as producers of the monies they keep in central banks as securities or bonds governments also acquire debt they use as collateral. Many United Kingdom (UK) and US citizens and civil servants during the First World War were private bondholders who lent to the US, British and French governments. When on 24 April 1917 President Woodrow Wilson signed the First Liberty Loan Act authorizing the Treasury to borrow up to $5 billion for the US to enter the war that made them extra-rich. Entente and Allied debts were after the war $600,000,000,000. They purchased some of the debt. Britain and France soon refinanced their short-term debts to private US citizens by borrowing from the US government. The Transvaal supplied about half the total world output of gold. It funded 60 percent of the war debt paying even for German reparations when Germany had massacred 100,000,00 Hereros before the war in South West Africa. War debts were a form of massive “profiteering” because the British also pretended they entered into agreements with colonies even though they had no planned economic development taking place there. All that they emphasized in reports to the League of Nations was how resource endowed Africa was. The Treaty of Saint-Germain was for Austria to pay Britain £250,000 monthly and on it interest of £97,670 4s. 11d. The title indicated colonies were signatories. France had its own debt paid in gold because it insisted so.
Era Dabla-Norris edited in 2019 for the IMF In Debt and Entanglements Between the War. This book is for the whole world to understand how debt for Europe and the US accumulated after the war. The IMF and the World Bank determines financial assistance and exerts strong influence on policies developing countries adopt and on whether or not they receive credit. It highlights learning about the debt the First World War caused is an important step in the resolution of any large-scale problems the world currently has like Covid-19 but as a policy determining help it leads all potential international creditors to conclude developing countries do not have money and commodities to pay emergency loans. They also do not have similar wealth as the citizens of the US before the First World War. Currency volatility and permanent debt are now a permanent feature of developing countries meaning more than 55 percent of the world's population will starting in 2025 have countries with no revenues. Chad, Somalia, and Niger are already those countries hence US officials and Army Commanders went to all the three countries in September 2020 to establish military bases to fight China.
A basis for all countries to understand the international debt the First World War caused is looking at demand and productivity capitalism very quickly underwent as a result of the plundering of Africa during the First World War. For 90 years the IMF like the League of Nations which gave Britain, France, Italy, and Belgium African colonies made the world not to know that. The fall of the international gold standard made Europe and Britain face political uncertainty Africa faced too.
South Africa's gold helped and made the US emerge as a major creditor nation. Governments in Europe were swamped with debt after the First World War but co-operation with the US made 'common movements in growth rates in national GDPs (for example, a worldwide boom in the 1920s followed by the Great Depression in the 1930s)' possible within a short period of 18 years. No region in the world had produ the fall of the international gold standard made Europe and Britain face political uncertainty Africa faced too the same consequence. No region in the world had productivity as Europe and the Americas because raw materials France, Britain, Italy, and Belgium extracted from Africa were extremely abundant. Labour as a result grew demands for social security, housing, wage increases of 10 percent, shorter working hours, an age limit to start to work, recognition of women's protection and bargaining rights. Realise this: social security and housing together form a 'social wage' that is provided for by the state in billions of US dollars. Worker income was seperate. This in human relations was a great revolution funded through speculation. The standard of living increased dramatically. The International Labour Organization (ILO) had one aim after it was formed after the war in 1919: to prevent another war using social policy. All governments co-operated with it. All countries eventually increased momentum for faster delivery of social services such as education, health, child and elderly guardianship by having volunteers except in Africa. By 1973 governments had so co-operated to make Europe's and the US's living standard equal at so an entire region moved at the same time. An entire region now has the same labour legislation.
The ILO only started working in Africa in 1973. To date labour legislation in Africa is not uniform and does not equal Europe's or the US's. It only covers work injuries and bargaining and unlike in Europe and the US excludes housing and social security.
When making comparisons between 1913 and 1928 regarding productivity and population growth it will be found the world’s population had increased by 10 percent. The production of foodstuffs and raw materials had increased by 25 percent. Foodstuffs alone increased by 16 percent and raw materials by no less than 40 percent. GDP growth rates averaged 5,8 percent. The League of Nations recorded that this was for Europe a ‘very rapid and substantial progress.’ ‘Other Continents’ just had ‘normal progress.' For the rest of the world it was only 2,4 percent. This differentiation continued in 1929. If the Soviet Union was excluded the differences would be still great. Growth in international trade was not so marked showing the increases were due to South Africa and Africa.
Britain had a standard of living that was higher than any other country in the world. In 1930 it had 1 million people that were unemployed but 12 million workers were insured. There was in general an expansion of 43 percent in the number of the insured population since 1923. There was a post-war boom which raised Europe's competitiveness. Weekly wage rates in Britain were 70 percent above the 1914 levels. Overseas investments totalled £235 million. Gold placed Britain internationally in the strategic position of being able to influence the value of all currencies and the price of commodities because it set the value. Mines in South Africa had to increase employment. From 100,000 South African mines had to employ 205,000 black workers producing £42,997,608 worth of gold in 1927 and £85,323,447 the following year. The world's monetary stock of gold rose during 1930 from £2,301 billion to £2,407 billion but only eight countries (Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Spain, US, Argentina, and Japan) held 80 percent excluding South Africa. Of the eight the US, France, and Britain controlled 74 percent.
South Africa's gold exports increased from 10,7 percent to 10,8 percent in 1956. The ANC had by the time already a known delegation to the UK in 1919 pleading for liberation and adopted in the wake of the Second World War an Africa Claims document calling on Europe and the US to stop colonization and the Freedom Charter promising the nationalization of mines. It had no British government’s support for the white South African government to end apartheid and yet again reinstated the gold standard premising as before the Second World War national security on it. To the extent a Trends in Usage of Gold report of the National Materials Advisory Board showed Britain made South Africa still produce by 1965 more gold than any other country. It produced 30,554,000 ounces; Canada 3,587,000 ounces; and the US 1,675,000 ounces. Austria came last at 878,000,00 ounces. This gold was for a single country with a population slightly higher than South Africa’s. Because of apartheid mining companies including municipalities deferred the payment of wages arguing blacks used the money for liquor. The US’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) facilitated the arrest of Nelson Mandela for forming UMkhonto WeSizwe (MK) as a military wing of the ANC. Thus after giving its gold and raw materials for capitalism upon which speculation rose South Africa now has 2.2 million people living in slums. Every year it delivers 200,000 free formal houses but because of population growth the figure just moves slightly. Consequently government will never end slums and that prospect has now been increased by the need for government to repay the R500 billion it borrowed from the IMF for Covid-19 during March 2020.
There are seven chapters in Debt and Entanglements Between the Wars and they all emphasize the fact that sovereign debt is a claim on a state’s future revenue. Karl Marx devoted time for four decades to write about the debt. In The Class Struggles in France 1848 to 1850 he highlighted the increasing role of the state on debt under capitalism. He saw debt as an instrument by which the exercise of political power and repression by the powerful over the powerless was made possible. For debt gave political power to the creditors of the state. He wrote it turned unproductive capital accumulation into a vital form where the national debt through government bonds formed the most important subject of speculation and the bourse the chief market for the investment of capital. So speculation under the development of capitalism before 1900 was made rife against the state because it had revenue and sources. Gold after its discovery strengthened the trend because cash deposits and liquid assets kept by central banks all of a sudden became very large.
Speculators siphoned money off the state paying little attention to the public’s needs. When he wrote speculation was a developing capitalist trend that had not caused wars. The world since then had two major wars in the First World War and the Second World War. They killed 10 million people. The Second World War originated because Adolf Hitler claimed Germany lost its surplus through the League of Nations when it gave Britain, France, Italy, and Belgium its African colonies after the First World War.
The IMF regarding Covid-19 has an Extension of Consultation Cycles Due To Covid-19 Pandemic, and Suspension of Framework To Address Excessive Delays in Article IV Consultations and Mandatory Financial Stability Assessments document. It is about mandatory Financial Stability Assessments (FSAs). The approach is not flexible for it lays the framework consultations as in the case of Venezuela going back to 2004 when Covid-19 did not exist. That opens opportunities for speculation since as Ingham Analytics also reports that from March 2021 the US ten-year Treasury hit 1,74 percent, its highest since January 2020. Stocks in the UK also rose to 0,84 percent from 0,2 percent. It reports yield curves steepened across the board compared with last year causing bond investors in the US to anticipate a rise soon in interest rates betting that inflation is close given the very large amounts central banks and the IMF gave for Covid-19 social relief. Ingham Analytics highlight inflation is bad for bonds. So bond investors are globally to press for interest rates to quickly rise again.
Much like in South Africa there has been a big rise in the supply of Treasury stock. To prepare for the speculation and prevent its possible damage to South Africa and Africa and to relations with Europe, US and BRICS including with multilateral organizations or international financial institutions the South African government must demand (a) an amendment of the IMF's Article IV so where Covid-19 matters are pertinent they are the only focus (b) an inclusive thorough study of prices in all major countries, the state of their exchange rates and monetary policies and preparedness to cope with higher interest rates.

Athene takes a while to digest the person standing in front of her in the door frame...she’s disoriented after being disturbed from her sleep. She recognizes a familiar silhouette she knew a long time ago in the light and a shudder goes down her spine. She knew this wasn’t going to be a regular visitor that stumbled in the bubble for a quick pail....but something personal this time.
She’d clutch on to her bedsheets and not from a fast stamina fuck this time! But a ghost who looks like she had seen a ghost! Athene slept in the nude and often with large plugs in her nook and ass...the person at the door had an interesting sight.
At that moment she remembered her past, who she had been, how the ‘real world’ remembered her......the way this dark figure was speaking to her she would’ve been disgusted by in the past....but now.... her legs were spread apart, anticipating her visitor and showing her exactly how she felt by the sudden intrusion in her sleeping quarters.
She didn’t dare interrupt as the other spoke and if she tried to, she found she was paralyzed with shock, leaving her mouth open like a whore to a bulge. Her body, on the other hand, had a mind of its own. Siding off the bed into a position she knew well. As she crawled nearer to the figure, boobs swingling and a cum gut threatening to touch the floor, the sight of the Neophyte overwhelmed her. Stern eyes commanding her absolute submission to the point she didn’t even need a cane to whip her into place. The fear made her wet...she wanted to bargain like she had in the cells that night in the trials...but this time the only thing the broken Serket could do was submit. Yes, she did want to something worthwhile in her unlife, she kneeled
“Kohrey....Pyrope?” She’d stare up from the boot she had just kissed and worshipped. Redglare looked the same age from the night she died....but Athene looked a little older with a much fuller figure now...perfect for being pushed around and intense breeding session.

( student / waitress at sherry's diner ) eden cardoso ( 24, she/her, cisfemale ) we hear eden is engaging, charismatic, & strong-willed, but can also be insatiable, disloyal & selfish. ( lulu antariksa ) ( dia )
SOME BIO INFO —
Born and raised in NYC, Eden moved to California after graduating high school in order to forge her own path away from her unreliable and severely estranged mess of a family. Before she was born her mom was an underpaid 9 to 5 customer service rep as well as (for lack of a better word) a full time gold digger that firmly had her sights on courting a Wall Street millionaire, but then the truth got out that her involvement with him was merely a mistress situation. When she found out he had a wife that he wasn’t going to leave anytime soon, their part time relationship fell apart... around the same time she finds out she’s pregnant. 9 months of drama and bargaining later, baby Eden naively arrives into the world and spent her childhood without ever knowing who her father is, other than the fact that her mother receives anonymously sent money each month + money put aside in an unseen savings account for Eden to access once she is old enough. During her teens Eden and her father were able to spend some time together intermittently, but both are so obviously out of their element around each other such awkward occasions were usually reserved for birthdays and holidays. Once Eden reached legal age, her mother fell back on old money hungry habits and tried to guilt Eden into giving over the funds to her to ‘manage’ (read: selfishly use as she saw fit). Eden, wanting to not be involved at all, gave over 3/4s of her inheritance, keeping just enough so she could be left unhassled and have a decent Fresh Start when she moved to California - a plan she’d been privately plotting many years in advance.
Officially realized she was Gay, rather unceremoniously, when she went through a hookup phase during her first few months in Cali when she was homeless/traveling up and down the west coast as much as possible before she decide where to settle. She either couch surfed or relied on chatting someone up at a bar and being asked to come home and spend the night with them. She soon found out the encounters with girls hit wayyy different than with guys, and quickly stopped sleeping with guys altogether. Her sexuality ultimately went on to become something she used as an ego-booster. She doesn’t believe anyone is 100% Straight and will go the extra mile to prove she’s right. If she had to be summed up in a song, it’d be Beyonce’s Ego (which 100% is her go-to karaoke song) + Paramore’s Misery Business.
HABITS / TRAITS -
Personality-wise, asides from the qualities listed at the top of this page, Eden is quite stubborn, abrasive and guarded. Her upbringing makes her think everyone wants something from her/has hidden motives. Very much a follower of the motto “better to ask forgiveness than permission”. Puts up a steely front of being super independent because she wants to act like she can manage everything herself. To openly ask someone else for assistance is the most mortifying concept to her. Is lowkey stressed trying to shoulder everything on her own 24/7 but won’t show it because how others perceive her is of the utmost importance to her, and she wants to seem cool, calm, collected, and desirable at all times. Has never been in a Relationship because no one meets her unrealistically high standards. Can seem like a cold bitch when she’s fixated on a project, so will later overcompensate and be extra suave and complimentary towards anyone she thinks she’s offended in the moment. Loves running her mouth arguing about things. Loves power and control - if she’s the one with it. Very cunning, smart, and unemotional. Strongly doesn’t believe in romantic love, but will use it as a manipulation tool via flirtation/flattering others. Is enrolled in a part-time online university course majoring in business because she wants to start up her own one day so she doesn’t have to answer to no boss/authority other than herself. She predominantly works night shifts at the diner because she likes to have the day to herself to do whatever she wants. Also enjoys people watching - and the most fascinating characters tend to pop up at night time. She’s very observant of people, which usually manifests through brutally honesty commentary or thickly layered on flirtation.
CONNECTIONS IDEAS -
Other previous New Yorkers she might have known whilst growing up
Anyone she hooked up with during her homeless hoe phase
A regular customer at the diner that she always ends up assigned to... whether this is a good or bad circumstance could be a fun variable. The fact that they’re always running into each other could make them fast friends that use her shift as an excuse to chill together, orrrr it’s someone super opposite to Eden and they have a reluctant sort of love-to-hate you dynamic because since she’s working she’s at their beck and call, no matter how much she’s irritated by them.
Study group friend/s that she lured over via tinder instead of connecting irl with her real classmates bc she’s shallow and wanted to hangout with someone cute instead
Workout buddy
Diner co-workers
and more! But that’s all my tired brain can articulate right now, kthxbye.
#tlawintro#if any of this bg info sparks and plot/connection ideas pls hmu.#otherwise i shall be sliding into everyone's dms soon...

The automobile is a fundamental need from the present fast-paced life. You merely have to provide them with the vehicle's registration number, and if it's possible to find the chassis number of the motor vehicle, which will be splendid too. Whether you are buying a car new or used, you don't want to overpay. Particularly for consumers who buy new cars to the very first moment. Most individuals wouldn't advise buying a new as an effect of depreciation and argue that buying a used car will be much more sensible.
Due to the chassis number you're going to be able to verify that the vehicle you're buying is genuine. Remember that purchasing the vehicle is only the beginning of one's expenses. Purchasing a used car will save you a great deal of funds.
Porsche Panamera 4S
It is possible to confirm the method by which they work about cars. In the event that you fail to pay back the auto in about four decades, then you probably shouldn't buy the automobile. Once you've done this, in case that you still take pleasure in the auto then you're moving onto the discussion phase. If you've received an expensive automobile, it's probably well worth the surplus cost for your increased quality automobile oil. As soon as you have located what you must be the very best auto, do the legwork. Muscle cars really are a significant portion of automobile history, but they also remain an important part of the current culture of cars at the U.S..
Realtors afford individuals the opportunity to potentially get a fantastic bargain on a new or used motor vehicle. Car auctions have turned in to an ever more common option for new car buyers. Buyers must also consult the internet and trusted sources in order to establish the type of price range they should be taking a look at to their particular make and version. Many motor vehicle buyers ' are bad negotiators, nevertheless. You may have to ask owner to supply you with exactly the VIN. Personal sellers won't have to use the Buyers Guide.
Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid Executive
Independent dealers provide tons of the perks of a franchised dealer with the extra advantage of owning a larger number of cars. Once you get into the dealership make sure that you are dealing together with a salesman which you're familiar with. Otherwise, it's easier for a auto dealer to have a greater mark up by devoting a minimum price in 1 area with a greater price in yet another.
Ordinarily, car repair shops have a reputation for fixing things which do not need fixing, and perhaps not at all times since they have been completely leery... but because it's faster than attempting to figure through where in fact the specific cause of the matter really is determined.
Porsche Panamera GTS
Shopping around both for the perfect automobile value together with the ideal financing value is a must. So locating a superb reliable service shop will be able to help you save you a fantastic deal of money over time.

2021 Porsche Taycan 4S is a formidable electric sports car
New Post has been published on https://appradab.com/2021-porsche-taycan-4s-is-a-formidable-electric-sports-car-2/
2021 Porsche Taycan 4S is a formidable electric sports car
Crisp air, crisper performance.
Chris Paukert/Roadshow
Porsche’s Taycan EV is ostensibly a Tesla Model S rival — arguably its most direct competitor. Indeed, the Taycan’s all-electric powertrain, prodigious power and four-door design all appear to fall neatly into that mold. But if you’re even passingly familiar with driving Elon Musk’s Dream Machine, it’s quite a surprise to drop all the way down into the bucket of the 2021 Porsche Taycan 4S. The German’s low-slung seating position and view out over the windshield feel infinitely more sports carlike than the more traditional, sedanlike perch found in the Tesla.
Like
Visceral, sports-car-like feel
Effortless acceleration
Endless personalization
Don’t Like
Limited range
Pricy options
No Android Auto
No one-pedal drive mode
In fact, after a week behind the wheel of the Taycan, I’d go so far as to say that were today’s EV market more mature and varied in its number of offerings, many people wouldn’t be tempted to compare these two at all. The Porsche is a 911 that happens to be electric and have an extra set of doors, and the Tesla is arguably more of a sport sedan that happens to be electric (ironic, as the S is a hatchback and the Porsche is a sedan). That’s not a knock on either automakers’ approach to our electric future, as both are wonderfully accomplished machines, but despite these EVs both possessing ludicrous acceleration and handling, they feel totally distinct from each other and live different lives.
It’s evident right from the get-go that Porsche has gone its own way with the Taycan. The whole car sits closer to the ground and its nose and tail are sleeker. As a result, this is a car that requires some practical concessions in return for its more sporting reflexes. I’m not just referring to the 4S’ sports car numbers — the model’s 0-to-60-mph time is 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 155 mph, all of which is well within the bounds of what’s possible from Team Musk.
The 4S is the 482-horsepower (562 hp with launch control) midgrade Taycan, sitting between the recently released 321-hp rear-drive base model and the teleportation-esque 616-hp Turbo. Offering 479 pound-feet of torque, the all-wheel-drive 4S relies on a smaller inverter with the same motor as the Turbo up front, as well as a smaller motor out back. Priced from $105,150 (including a $1,350 destination fee), the Taycan 4S may seem like a relative bargain compared with the $150,000 Turbo, but it’s nevertheless eye-wateringly expensive. A drive in the 4S makes it easy to feel like this model is the Goldilocks of the Taycan family, but the truth is, it’s a stunner from top to bottom, offering amazing all-around driving experiences that are typically coupled with wiltingly high price points.
The Porsche’s difference is in its feel beyond its raw numbers. The 4S’ handling sets it apart, with an immediacy to its steering and braking, paired with a well-sorted air suspension that is everyday-livable, yet capable of making the most out of every corner. It doesn’t even take nine-tenths handling to figure out how special the 4S feels, which is a good thing, because as the photos accompanying this article suggest, the weather isn’t always exactly cooperative. The multimode suspension is compliant enough for everyday comfort, enabling remarkably flat cornering even without selecting stiffer settings. PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes are available, but seem like costly overkill unless you plan to visit racetracks regularly.
Despite not having a hooded binnacle, those digital gauges are visible in all lights.
Chris Paukert/Roadshow
The Taycan’s two-speed transmission continues to be something of a novelty in the EV world — nearly every other production electric goes with a single-speed direct-drive. The Taycan’s two-speed gearbox acts on the rear axle to provide both high-speed cruising efficiency and better low-end acceleration. While you probably won’t even notice the transmission’s operation in everyday driving, it is noticeable under hard acceleration. That’s not a complaint — it’s actually nice to get a subtle thwack in the back as the transmission shifts gears, as it gives the Taycan a reassuringly mechanical quality, even if it doesn’t presently make the 4S materially quicker than models from You Know Who.
Interestingly, you won’t find a full-blown one-pedal driving mode in this Taycan, although you can adjust the amount of lift-off energy recuperation. Porsche says this approach affords more consistent braking feel regardless of the battery’s state of charge, and indeed, the 4S offers the most natural modulation of any EV I’ve ever encountered. Having said all that, this driver would still prefer to have a one-pedal option.
The 4S’ sports carlike demeanor extends to its driving range, which is just 227 miles according to the EPA — and that’s when equipped with the optional dual-layer 93.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion pouch Performance Battery Plus, a $6,580 option. The 79.2-kWh standard-battery model taps out at 199 miles, and both range totals are significant improvements over the figures promised for the 2020 model. Both are a pittance compared with what’s available elsewhere, including the Model S Long Range Plus’ EPA-estimated 402 miles.
In profile, the Taycan’s 911-like design characteristics come through best.
Chris Paukert/Roadshow
As we at Roadshow and other outlets have told you in the past, not all range estimates work out the same in the real world, and we’ve found it’s significantly easier to get (or beat) the stated range of Porsche’s Taycan family in more situations than we have been able to in various Teslas. On the downside, Porsche nickels-and-dimes you for the best charging experience — an onboard 150kW/400V DC charger is a $460 option and Mobile Charge Connect (a charge cord with a built-in 5-inch screen) is $1,120. Even Porsche Intelligent Range Manager, a software function that calculates charge stops based on available range and driving style, is a further $300.
Fortunately, even an early spring snow in Michigan didn’t thwart my Carrara White Metallic 4S test car’s range, or its driving fun. In the end, though, there’s little doubt that there’s a significant range deficit here, so this Stuttgart special may be best viewed as a Sunday fun-day indulgence or a daily commuter rather than as a viable interstate grand tourer.
As a consequence of its slightly more compact powertrain componentry, the 4S actually offers a bit more rear trunk space than the Turbo, but that’s not to say that any Taycan offers a particularly generous amount of room. This 4S nets out at 17.2 cubic feet spread between its two cargo holds (14.3 cubes in back and 2.9 in the frunk). Compared with the Tesla, the Taycan is arguably best viewed here as an all-electric sports car with some additional spacial flexibility for two extra people in a pinch. (If you need more cargo room, Porsche now offers the Taycan in a fetching Sport Turismo bodystyle).
20-inch Sport Aero ($2,720) wheels thankfully arrived wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero winter rubber.
Chris Paukert/Roadshow
It isn’t just the hunkered-down seats that ram home the Taycan’s driving-first message, as the rest of the cabin follows suit. The dashboard is low-slung, with its prominent center stack contributing to a pronounced cockpitlike feel. The reconfigurable all-digital instrument panel is ultra-crisp and legible in any light, despite being hoodless. With tons of piano-black trim and plenty of touchscreen real estate, this particular 4S looks at once sleek and high-tech, but those same finishes make the cabin a fingerprint and dust magnet like few other test cars I can remember.
Speaking of high-tech, you can get the Taycan with up to five screens, including the aforementioned 16.8-inch gauge cluster. The central touchscreen measures 10.9 inches, plus there’s an 8.4-inch HVAC touchscreen and an optional 5.9-inch passenger display (not fitted to this vehicle).
Like my fellow Roadshow compatriots, I’ve come to appreciate Porsche’s latest-generation infotainment, though there is a learning curve and some will wish for more physical switchgear — especially for easier manipulation of things like airflow, which is controlled entirely via menus instead of a more intuitive manual approach. If you’re looking for the simplest solution, you can rely on Apple CarPlay for most functions, but Android Auto remains unavailable, at least until the 2022 model year, when Porsche will start filtering the tech into various models in its lineup.
Maybe just a few more miles…
Chris Paukert/Roadshow
My particular test car has comfortable, supportive 18-way power Adaptive Sport Seats ($400) clad in unusual Race-Tex fabric upholstery. With many high-end buyers seeking alternatives to traditional leather seats, this Graphite Blue material could be a welcome alternative, but I find it to be a bit coarse, both to the hand and, at $4,130, to the wallet. All-in, combined with other pricy options like 20-inch Sport Aero wheels ($2,770) and a $7,170 Premium Package (Bose audio, fixed glass roof, 360-degree camera coverage, ventilated seats and other niceties), this model rings up at $136,190 before available federal and state EV incentives. That’s a lot of coin in options, but Porsche’s build-it-your-way configurability is off the charts, and as such, $30,000 in options isn’t an atypical amount for Porsche customers at this end of the spectrum.
In the end, even with four doors, the Taycan 4S absolutely feels like the Porsche sports car of the future. It offers rewardingly self-assured, tactile high performance in a unique formula at a very exclusive price. As the middle child of the most driver-focused EV family available today, the 4S is a formidable and downright lustworthy machine — provided you’re willing to look beyond its spec sheet and price tag.
