related to my longer post just now, but it is also kinda funny when people try to frame Lucanis as being reluctant to be First Talon because he is struggling with a conflict between a gentler spirit and the work of being a killer when one of the reasons Lucanis preferred not to be First Talon is because it would cut into the time he spends stabbing people to death. like, he likes the killing people part of the job so much that he's trying to turn down a promotion that might affect how much directly killing people he'd be doing.

Rewatching Gravity Falls for the who-knows-what thousandth time and I. I have. A thought.

The website that alluded to (not confirmed, as far as I know) of a season three. And this is a big deal.

Since it's pretty much a given that if this does end up happening, Bill WILL be a part of it and they'll need some way to stop him. So I figured, since Mabel destroyed the memory eraser and Bill would probably not have fallen for the same thing twice anyway, the obvious choice is the zodiac wheel again.

BUT.

What if instead of it all being the same person in the same spot as they were in the finale, why not have their positions switched around a bit. The obvious examples being Wendy as pine tree since she and Dipper swapped hats and Soos since he took over as owner of the Mystery Shack and also Stan's iconic hat. I *may* try to plot out who would go where and share the rest of that stuff on here, but I think this idea would work really well when you contextualize it with the concept that even though time has passed and people have grown and changed and are no longer the same as they once were, they're still just as strong and still care for each other and their bond will never be broken.

Much like the people who loved this show.

If I could be arsed to learn how to edit videos and had some kind of mic, I would 110% make a two part video essay series on the politics of Jurassic World because MY GOD, there's so much to dissect.

The first part would be about how the park is the epitome of neoliberal futurism for techbros, including the way the park so easily falls apart though I doubt that aspect is purposeful. Everything is aesthetic first and function second, and we can't possibly use any of the reliable infrastructure we've already come up with because a train is not gonna get us to Mars, but a monorail might.

And the second would be about the buckwild terrible gender politics going on. The movie is deeply unsympathetic to Claire seemingly because she's a woman who prioritised her career as it's both centre to her character arc and also an inciting event of one of the plots. Not to mention the whole Zara thing or the Owen and Claire thing or the stupid "him, I meant him, line. The movie is rife with misogyny, but it feels like that specific misogyny was isekaied over from backlash to second wave feminism.

I could talk about it all for so long because in a way, it feels like a perfect time capsule for 2015. Back when people took Claire running in heels to be this feminist statement to be made fun of and not just a deeply misogynistic movie trying to sell you feminism. And back when Elon Musk managed to get away with his "I'm the real life Iron Man" shit, and people believed he was smart and all his plans would come to fruition. 2015 was a great time to be a tech bro in Silicon Valley with people just throwing money at all your fake promises.

I come to you again bc I feel you would know this for sure, what is the deal with the expressiveness or variations of Uriè's "dreamy" glasses? I was thinking maybe they are just expressive but I prefer to be sure and see if you can give me an answer q(≧▽≦q)

Ah-ah Romy! You asked the big question right away! :D (Also, nice to see you in my inbox again :3)

They seem to have their own personalities don't they? But that's not the reason for their mysterious variations, nor do they depend on the mood of their owner! Let's say that being the equivalent of the og Uriè dream camera also gives some clues, but to be clearer, dreams are the main reason!

In the official comic, Uriè's camera is capable of photographing the dreams of humans and the eternals! These glasses do almost the same and even more! So, in this case, the variations in colour and shape are based on the nature of the dream that Uriè is looking at with the glasses, sometimes they change even without looking directly at the dream!

These variations also depend, let's say, on how close they are from the dimension they were created from (I can reveal that they are not a devilish creation XD)! Also, the change of the lens colour define the presence of some unique apparitions (of what? ask Uriè ahah) 👀 But how did Uriè get her hands on an object so strange and foreign to her world? And why is she so attached to it? Maybe some of her friends might know something…

I take the opportunity with your question to share some of the versions of the Uriè glasses I have made so far! :3 Many of the motifs on the frames are not only decorative, but also have functions: I think I will make a diagram of how they work as soon as I'm more free! ✌️
