On a whim I looked up food trucks for the secret “welcome to the US” party that my dad wants to throw for scone this summer, and…
…I regret to inform you that I have now been very spoiled by the insane number of food trucks in Eugene
In SoCal, it’s all tacos. Pizza? Tacos. Tacos tacos tacos. BIRRIA tacos. BBQ. Tacos. Korean tacos??? Tacos. Pizza! Tacos. Extremely fancy tiny burgers at one per person for an insane amount of money. Tacos.
Which for ME isn’t a problem, but for my poor pastry who doesn’t like Mexican food… I want to find him a noodle truck. And HERE, noodle trucks are a dime a dozen. They’re the frequency of taco trucks in SoCal. Ethiopian food truck? Yep. Halal food trucks? Oh for sure. Greek food truck? Duh. Burgers? Naturally.
But I did find a taco truck that’s like, very much the gringo side of Mexican food that does a very lite Asian fusion in their tacos that I think would be okay with scone.
But damn I wish I could get him a noodle truck. I need a noodle truck that does small events in Orange County.

in all seriousness i 90% sure im going to quit my job tomorrow and for a while i will have just enough money to live on and will have to spruce up my resume and job hunt and stress but MY GOD i need to do something else because this is making me suicidal
#like actively suicidal. wanting to die in a way i have not since highschool. literally woke up and thought 'i dont want to be here anymore'#and then couldnt make myself get out of bed until like 10 minutes before i had to leave the house for job 2#i know its unprofessional but i pretty much...quiet quit i guess. i worked from home for like a month straight without telling my boss#and she called yesterday wondering about it and the whole time the only thing i could think of was 'you didnt even know for a MONTH#thats how little people communicate around here#the office culture is toxic. the people are self absorbed and shut me out. ive gone through like 6 big life events and no one knows because#no one in that office cares enough to ask. and even if i volunteer the most i get is a 'wow that wild look at this tiktok yeah anyway'#im so burnt out. i have 1 day of rest and i dont get to do that at all. so no like im not going to get up get dressed sit in traffic park#on the street because a year later they still havent given me a clicker for the parking lot and sit in the back of a warehouse for hours#talking to no one. ive literally gone days without talking to anyone there. its so lonely.#theres only so many audiobooks and podcasts and albums you can listen to before you think 'i would be ok getting hit by a truck tomorrow'#im going to hate these next few months but i just need time#and the lord works in mysterious ways because my other boss just started talking about hiring for mon/tues which are the days i work bad jo#so i would at least get those hours until i find something else stable. im going to try very hard not to be mean about it but im like...#hey girl this place sucks ass and you know it. im not negotiating#but thanks for that raise 9 months late#im giving you three weeks for find a replacement and i dont care if you fire me in that time#il work from home or panera or starbucks or library but im not stepping in that office again unless its for my minifridge and heater

If I had a nickel for every time in the past couple months my commute was interrupted by a truck bursting into flames, I’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot, but it’s fucking wild to see happen twice

I had a long night last night
#car troubles#my partner was driving me home from the card shop where we play dnd#and then all of a sudden his car made a weird sound#so we pull over at an empty parking lot#i tell him to ask someone for help so he did#and they take a look at the hood and it seemed the car needed oil#so we walk all the way to a gas station#for oil#then we walk all the way to a Home Depot because my partner insisted we needed a funnel#then we put the oil car amd start it#and as he goes to make a right out of the parking lot a tire falls off the car#a whole ass tire#so we had to stay parked right where we were#and call a tow truck#at first they said theyd be there im half an hour#then it turned into 2 hours#and this was at 11 pm and i couldn���t stay there that long bc i worked the mext morning#so i called my dad to get us and we left the key with the car#oh yeah and there was a murder investigation going on right where this happened

#I have to go get pictures taken with my moms side of the family#and my aunt is organizing the whole thing and being a giant bitch to my mom#and on my dads side of the family my other aunt got arrested bc her ex-husband accused her of assault#after he backed his truck into her trailer I think#and she had to spend 2 days in jail#my grandfather had to be physically held back by multiple people to stop him from straight up murdering the ex-husband#like Im being 100% serious. he almost killed the ex-husband#AND THEN the ex-husband FRACTURES HIS NECK WHILE DRUNK OFF HIS ASS AT A WEDDING#and didn’t have the dignity to die about it. so#aghhhagagagggaggagaggagaggahhh#one of these sides is a lot more on fire than the other but I was made aware of so many things today and just . christ in hell

Yadda yadda tumblr userbase is aging yadda BUT I have to share my mundane life…. Somehow I ripped the fitted sheet on my bed liek. HOW did that happen all I’ve done is crash as hard as possible into this bed for the past 2 years straight :/ when I had a twin size mattress I used cotton sheets from the 90s and never had this problem :/// then again I had those twin sheets on rotation whereas these r the only queen sheets I own cause I’m cheap & sheets are expensive. The tear is right down the middle, even if I patch it back up I’m gonna feel the seam forever >:/
