Developed for children ages 4-8, Homeschool+ offers a comprehensive curriculum, adaptive math and reading learning programs, and robust home educator tools for planning lessons and tracking progress, customizable to meet each family’s unique homeschooling needs.
“Age of Learning spent more than a decade developing research-based programs that engage children and accelerate learning”Tweet this
The Homeschool+ curriculum features Age of Learning’s research-validated digital learning solutions My Math Academy, and My Reading Academy. Based on well-established principles of learning science research, these programs enable young children to master essential math concepts and build foundational literacy skills. They help accelerate learning by identifying each child’s strengths and growth opportunities, then dynamically adapting the selection and sequence of learning experiences to meet each child’s needs.
In addition to math and reading, Homeschool+ offers art, science, social studies, language arts, music, and Spanish. These additional courses, all designed by education experts, feature content from ABCmouse’s award-winning, research-validated curriculum, augmented by lesson plans that take full advantage of the learning opportunities of the home environment. Age of Learning Wins 3 Stevie Awards for ABCmouse Mastering Math App
We are honored to share that Age of Learning has today won three Stevie Awards for our ABCmouse Mastering Math app:
Best PreK / Early Childhood Learning Solution
Best Game-based Curriculum Solution
Best Mathematics Instructional Solution
In January, Mastering Math was also named Best Educational App in the Best Mobile App Awards.
Mastering Math is an innovative, game-based adaptive early learning app (available for Apple/iOS and Android mobile devices) that helps preschool through kindergarten children build a strong understanding of the most fundamental math concepts: number sequences, numeral recognition, and counting objects. Having that foundation is a key requirement for success in kindergarten and beyond. The app uses appealing characters and personalized learning pathways to help children achieve mastery through practice.
The app leverages the Personalized Mastery Learning System developed by Age of Learning. This adaptive learning platform recommends and customizes learning games to deliver an individualized learning path and personalized education to every child. The app actively adapts in real time to a child’s existing knowledge, filling in gaps in understanding and teaching new material as the child demonstrates they are ready for more advanced learning activities. Using data from a child’s interaction, the system adapts the sequence of activities presented, and even adapts within each activity, to optimize each child’s learning experience and ultimately help all children achieve math mastery.
Current ABCmouse members can use the Mastering Math app completely free just by logging in.
If you are not yet a member, you can subscribe through this app to begin your family’s ABCmouse learning adventure.

Apps, Tools, and Resources to Boost Kindergarten Learning
Introducing kindergarten students to technology can be a way to add some fun to the classroom. With the right tools and apps, edtech can help young students learn foundational skills or practice math and reading. Many of these resources can be a dream come true for teachers, but the vast array of choices can also be a nightmare.
As a teacher, you don’t have time to search through thousands of apps to and find the one that meets the needs of your students. To help, we started to create curated a list of the best apps that you can use to boost your kindergartner’s learning. Check out our list below. Let us know if there are any that we missed.
ABC Alphabet Phonics– A free app that teaches toddlers and young children who are learning to speak. By applying various senses (sight, sound, etc.), children can learn the alphabet and a few other optional subjects. Parents can also customize the app using their voice and taking photos of their child’s favorites items to make the experience more stimulating and personal.
ABC Alphabet Phonics: Song– An entertaining learning experience for children new to the alphabet. They learn the name and the sound the letters make when used in words while having so much fun that they do not realize they are learning. Supported on both iPhone and iPad.
ABC Food– Let your children experience the exciting culinary world using their senses of sight, sound, and touch with the award-winning ABC Food app. The app presents numerous photos, videos, and interactive games to teach children to chop, slice, and cook food items. It also expands your child’s vocabulary with about 70+ new words. It comes with a simple, easy-to-use interface.
ABC Go– Let your children experience the exciting world of vehicles (trucks, cars, trains, etc.) using their senses of sight, sound, and touch with the ABC Go app. Expand your child’s vocabulary with 60+ new words. The app presents numerous photos, videos, and interactive games to teach children to identify different vehicles. It also comes with a simple, easy-to-use interface.
ABC MAGIC– Help your child master phonology and pronunciation using this app. Children can choose to either match letters to pictures or pictures to letters. This helps them associate letters with their most popular pronunciation. Both the letters and pictures have touch-activated sound features to help children learn and retain what they learn.
ABC Magnetic Alphabet– Somethings are not fun for children, and learning can be one of them. Solve this problem with the digital magnetic board tailored after the old-school magnetic boards. It allows children to attach colorful pieces (letters, numbers, symbols, and figures) to the board. Suitable for children of all ages.
ABC Magnetic Alphabet Lite for Kids–Teach your children to read and write the alphabet while you play with them. Let them tap into their creativity by placing objects anywhere they want on the board.
ABC Magnetic Board: Alphabet–This app features uppercase English letters and alphabet-shaped puzzles. The standard pack comes with numbers, shapes, symbols, and lowercase letters vocalized in English. In-app purchases are available to add features that enhance the child’s learning experience.
ABC Mouse– ABCmouse lets your child solve math problems such as counting, and operations based on the solid foundation of numbers they learn by using this app. You can either create a new ABCmouse.com account or log in to an existing one via the app. Available on both Android and iOS platforms.
ABC Phonics – Short Vowel Words– Allows growing kids to master phonics by shooting missiles to identify words from the submarine they are navigating. PhonicsOne is especially for kids learning to read; PhonicsTwo and PhonicsThree are available for middle school kids. Children are rewarded with jewels and a mini game upon completion of a level.
ABC Phonics – Rhyming Words–Helps children to master phonics by matching rhyming word pairs. Children are rewarded with jewels and a mini game upon completion of a level. This app also helps children recognize how consonant and vowel placements affect pronunciation, such as in “ch” and “sh.”
ABC Phonics – Make a Word– Provides both phonics and spelling solutions to children who are learning to read. All the words have short vowel sounds. Phonics Advanced is available for older children, and it comes with longer and double vowel sounds. It also helps children recognize how consonant and vowel placements affect pronunciation.
ABC Phonics – Animated– Designed using the expertise of phonics teachers, this app is an excellent introduction to phonics. Letters are written on the screen with animated tracing for the child to follow, and the app pronounces the letters for the child. This combination helps the child build a solid basis to grow.
ABC Phonics – Word Family Tree– Combines phonics, spelling, beginning sound word family phonics, short vowel sounds, and images with many visual enhancements for each word. The app includes a total of 56-word family groups to be used to teach short and long vowels, spelling, and pronunciation using the Montessori Method.
ABC Spelling Magic 1– With ABC Spelling magic, your child learns the sounds letters make and how to use them to form words. The app also teaches the child to segment, which is a vital part of learning to read. The first portion of the app uses a limited number of letters to form words while the second portion contains all 26 letters of the alphabet. The app teaches the child to spell words using three phonetic sounds and short vowel sounds.
ABC Spelling Magic 2– This advanced stage focuses on using consonant clusters to form words. The app also teaches the child to segment, which is a vital part of learning to read. The first portion of the app uses a limited number of letters to form words while the section portion contains all 26 letters of the alphabet.
ABC Spelling Magic 3– The third stage in the series, t This app gives your child the chance to learn 4- to 7-letter word constructions with multiple syllables. It contains nine sections with 108 words to keep your child interested.
Adding Eggs– With this app, your children learn to count and solve related math problems by moving eggs around on the screen. The eggs can be moved around to discover numbers that can be summed up to arrive at the answer that was provided. For example, the sum of 6 can be 2 and 4 or 1 and 5, etc. There are 6 levels, and each level determines how high the numbers will go.
