A mini-comic for Ace Attorney Subway Bosses! I was more of a silly comic based on a video I saw regarding the parrot scene from one of the Ace Attorney trials. I've been having a lot of fun with this AU. For reference, Emmet is taking the place of Phoenix Wright, and Ingo is taking the place of Miles Edgeworth!
Also, bonus doodle under the cut!
It makes just as much sense to not have a significant other and kids as an adult as it does to have them, whether you're talking about real life or writing characters.
The submas fandom is chock full of aro and/or ace people, so of course a large amount of people prefer to not go the amatonormative nuclear family route with characters whose home lives are a blank slate.
It doesn't "not make sense" and I again kindly ask anyone who thinks being alone or living with family or solely having platonic relationships as an adult is weird or a crazy idea to think about why they feel like that.
Having a partner isn't "probable," in real life or fiction, just because someone's sexuality or status is unknown.
Everyone is allowed to choose whatever sexuality and relationship status they want for characters, please just be mindful about how you speak about certain concepts okay? Characters can have no opinion on how things are written but real aro and/or ace people do, and it doesn't feel very good to read stuff like this.
Been doodling these on and off for a while now, but have some doots of the Nimbasa City Trio!
More or less just practice in keeping them consistent and cramming as much as possible on one page in my tiny sketchbook. Plus just some dumb little ideas/headcanons I had that I thought would fit them all.
Count how many joltiks there are all together because I gave up after Emmets page XD
Also I don't know how it might happen but blankshippers DNI they are brothers ffs. And Elesa is their self proclaimed sister I don't make the rules XD
Emmet uses a pair of hidden blades whereas Ingo only uses one. He prefers to leave his other hand open for a gun, knife, or even a brick. He’s skilled enough to use two hidden blades but he could never quite get the hang of it like Emmet did. It didn’t help that Emmet is ambidextrous and Ingo isn’t.
(When Ingo returns from the templars, he leaves that arm free anyway because he’s begun using a sword as his second weapon. Outdated, but he likes it.)
Cloaks are no longer one size fits all! Cloaks can be any variation from waist (mini) to mid-calf (full-length). Ingo’s cloak is about mid-thigh whereas Emmet’s is as low as it can get. Pre-Ingo’s assumed death, Emmet was quite flashy and liked for his cloak to serve as a warning.
Most assassins wear either dark jeans or cargo pants for durability. Emmet decided to go with white jeans for the Aesthetic.
Hidden blades can be made with either leather or metal sheaths. Ingo likes the traditional leather, Emmet went for a pair of metal cuffs. Metal is more durable but also less forgiving. Leather often is stained easier, but it’s also more easily repaired or replaced.
Their throwing knives have different handles, and their hidden blades have different blade colors :) Emmet also wears one (1) glove on his right hand to better punch people with.
Ingo’s undershirt is looser than Emmet’s- just a difference in preference. Ingo’s belief is that a loose shirt around the arms will make it more difficult for someone to get a shot there, Emmet prefers his sleeves form-fitting.
Been holding onto this comic dub for @cardinal-crossing for a bit now, but here we go! They did a crossover of Ace Attorney and Pokemon, specifically the Subway Bosses, and I just had to voice it for them.
Short but sweet! Go check out Card's art, it's fantastic!
I did a little doodle of Ace Attorney Submas!
A little context: Emmet has the energy of Miles Edgeworth. However, he is the defense attorney because he likes to win. Ingo has Phionex Wright's energy but is the prosecution attorney because Ingo is more stoic, which fits better in my brain.
In other words, I got super into Ace Attorney and played a bit of the first game, but I got too excited and jumped straight into Professor Layton v. Phoenix Wright and have sunk 6 hours into it already.
