imagine this.

you’re suddenly transported to the future. the first person you see is a young boy with bright blue eyes and white hair.

confused and panicked, you demand to know what’s going on, who he is, where you are, and to be brought back home.

he tells you he’s your grandson. turns out you were his grandpa’s, gojo satoru, wife. you had three sons together, one of which was this young boy’s father.

you died about three years ago and your death has shaken up the family in a rough way. he’s been leading you around in hopes that you can somehow alter the current timeline and avoid your death when you go back to your own timeline. all the while, being kept a secret from the boy’s father, his uncles, and of course, his grandpa.

I’m actually sobbing over him. Staring down his little rodimus star. All those years. All those wasted moments. All that life. That star is not just a symbol of his new, better chance to make amends. But a brutal reminder of the life he could’ve had. If he had chosen a greater path. If a few decisions had been made in less confined spaces. If life had been less cruel.

Is Megatron just an inevitable product of the way Cybertron was? Was his war unavoidable? Was there always going to be a mech like him that stood up and dealt with the situation drastically? Did it, like Starscream said at his trial, spiral into something he couldn’t control? To say that he is a creation of his experiences would rob him of some vital agency. And I think that is more painful. Complete guilt. Complete regret.

All the lives he touched. All the billions of experiences he destroyed. That star represents all of them. It represents a chance at forgiveness. Rodimus gave it to him for “changing his evil ways”. It tethers him to his best life. The only life, the only version of himself that wasn’t steeped in hatred. In chasing something unattainable and then never knowing what to do with it.

Thumbing that Rodimus Star in a parallel universe for 800 years. Mulling over what could have been. What he was missing. Meeting Orion Pax, Starscream, Impactor, Soundwave all over again. Fresh and new but he isn’t. He is weighed down by all of it. And he reaches for that star as a reminder.

A paperweight of his conscience.

All Over Again

This fic is a Remadora and Jily fic - but it's told from Sirius POV, and then intermixes with the couples.

I think there are a lot of similarities between the pairings. You have one person of privilege (James, Tonks) and the other person is part of a disenfranchised group (Lily = Muggle-born, Remus = Werewolf).

Then you have Sirius who sat across from James and Lily during school and watched them fall in love. Remus and him work joke about them, along with Peter. Sirius was there supporting both James and Lily as their friend - because Sirius was both of their friends.

But now Sirius is alone, he is watching a friend fall in love, and he is going to have to push them together, All Over Again.

I love it. But I have no time to write it.
