I watched romantic killer on Netflix with my friend, and we both were going in ready to laugh at what we thought was gonna be a really bad reverse harem anime… We were very wrong it’s so good please watch it!
can i just say. and this is probably a niche hill to die on. that i am so gobsmacked every time someone vaguely hints at the idea that jotaro doesn't care meaningfully for the other crusaders, usually particularly kakyoin and joseph, when those two actually tend to be the ones he reacts to being hurt the hardest
like he cares for his loved ones!!!! that literally plays into his character motives in every single part he shows up in!!! stop lying to me!!!!!!!
"the sub is better the dub is better" i am watching both and experiencing the joy of different layers of meaning from the same piece of art even though i'll never fully comprehend the complexities of the source language that i don't know and im enjoying double the amount of voice acting and directing talent on display but i guess keep fighting about this
I wish the anime had a budget bigger than three hay pennies because there's actually a lot of stuff I seriously enjoy and one of them is what I like to call the "parallels sequence" in the second opening between Phoenix and Maya and Phoenix and Edgeworth.
After watching the Hetalia english dub, the disparity between the interpretations of the Western and Eastern fandoms suddenly make a lot more sense… a lot of the lines were changed so much to cater to localization to the point that the characters’ personalities became completely warped from the Japanese version. 😯
Rest in peace Rachael Lillis, you will be so very missed. I absolutely adored your work as Jesse and Misty, and Jigglypuff too, and they remain some of my favourite characters from childhood. (Gosh I have always loved Misty and her voice so much, it's probably why my favourite Pokémon type to this day is water type.)
All this to say, thank you for sharing your voice with the world.
