There are rumours, in Mondstadt. Rumours that glide silently on the trails of its four blessed winds.

They’re easier caught at one of the city’s local taverns. If you pay just enough attention, ears strained and presence inconspicuous, you’ll catch word of a mysterious group of people, a secret branch, within Ordo Favonius— specifically, within its very Church.

The Church. The centre of Mondstadt’s piety. It looms over the nation sitting proudly at its peak, dwarfing and overlooking the country’s unassuming denizens. Constantly observing. Watching.

A most grandios sight, or perhaps a rather grave reminder, depending on how one looks at it.

Die Jäger is what the branch is supposedly called. The Hunters. Hunters of what, however, is yet to be revealed to the public. The mere thought of a hidden order is enough to sow skepticism into the minds of people.

Just what is there for The Church to conceal? To keep under such a tight leash that only hearsay tells of its existence?

But you are special. Blessed, as the Sisters would make you believe. You are blessed to hold this title. You are privy to these matters, exempt from the secrecy subjected to the public.

You are a Hunter.

And Kaeya Alberich, Ordo Favonius’ own dear Cavalry Captain, is your unfortunate target.

An AU in which surviving Khaenri’ahns are actively hunted and slain by The Church of Favonius in the name of Barbatos.

Inspired by Kaeya referring to the surviving Khaenri’ahns as ‘sinners’.
