There's a cough from behind, but he pays it no mind. Mei Nianqing’s cheek presses against the bird like Pokémon's, practically squealing at how cute it is.

Mei Nianqing barely pays him any mind. “That is a nasty cough you've got going on, my dearest professor.” He says, his tone soft as his eyes practically shine.
