Abarth 695 70. Anniversario | Der wird nie erwachsen

Ganze 70 Jahre wieseln Abarth-Automobile bevorzugt über den Rennasphalt. In den letzten Jahren gab es einen rasanten Anstieg in der Popularität nicht zuletzt dank der charmanten Wiederbelebung des Retro-Fiat-500 dessen Top-Varianten nur noch unter der Marke Abarth verfügbar sind. Zum Jubiläum bringen die Italiener nun den auf gerade mal 1949 Exemplare limitierten Abarth 695 70. Anniversario auf den Markt.

Von Altersschwäche ist bei dem in der neuen "Monza 1958" lackierten Rennzwerg wahrlich nichts zu spüren. Zwar werkeln unter der Haube nur 1,4 Liter Hubraum aber dank praller Turboaufladung schafft es Abarth trotzdem satte 180 PS auf den Asphalt zu bringen. Das maximale Drehmoment von 250 Nm massiert den Asphalt gnadenlos und lässt den Italiener in gerade mal 6,7 Sekunden von 0 auf 100 km/h sprinten. Erst bei 225 km/h geht ihm die Puste aus. Dass dieser Abarth nicht ganz normal ist sieht man ihn direkt an. Neben dem grauen Bodykit fällt besonders der mächtige Heckspoiler ins Auge. Dieser ist nicht nur als Zierde da sondern in 12 Stufen von 0-60 Grad individuell verstellbar. Somit lässt ein optimaler Downforce erzielen der für deutlich höhere und stabilere Kurvengeschwindigkeiten sorgt.

Neben vielen weiteren Details wurden im Innenraum exklusive "Tricolore"- Sitze von Sabelt für die Sondereidtion gefertigt. Ebenso erhält jedes der 1949 produzierten Modelle eine besondere nummerierte Tafel im Cockpit. Damit der Kleine auch hält was seine Optik verspricht wurde er unter anderem im Turine FCA-Windkanal auf Herz und Nieren geprüft. Jetzt würden wir ihn gerne selber mal "erfahren". Abarth 595 feiert 60. Geburtstag

Leistungsgesteigerte Version Vor genau sechzig Jahren, im September 1963, überraschte Carlo Abarth die Fans des Cinquecento mit einer leistungsgesteigerten Version: Sein Modell 595 basierte auf dem seit 1961 gebauten Fiat 500 D. Die namensgebende Ziffer ist ein Verweis auf das Kernelement von Abarths Tuningmaßnahmen: Der in Österreich geborene und in Turin lebende „PS-Zauberer“ vergrößerte den Hubraum von serienmäßig rund 500 auf 595 Kubikzentimeter.
