“In the end when Abigail bore her throat a second time to her father in the kitchen, she did not think of teacups, time or how a father loves. Instead she thought of her mothers garden, where things grew instead of died and decay came gently and with a greater purpose than this. And as she knowingly crawled into Hannibal’s arms, aware what would happen, it was the smell of daisies in the summertime that filled her. Not terror.” (In Memoriam to a Girl and a Knife by starbaby)
me ranting about Abigail Hobbs and the Dead Girl Narrative and how unbelievably angry it makes me because perfectly good, already compelling characters dont need to be killed to be impactful, also i believe its probably misogynistic but i dont feel like elaborating
I honestly feel like Will had alot of Guilt dreams before he accepted who he truly was becoming, i feel like maybe at the beginning he felt bad for what he was doing (not season 1 Will) but at some point he kinda just accepted it….i’ve seen a few true crime cases where a killer (or killers) will have these types of dreams (or say they’ve had theses types of dreams) and Will to me seems like the type of person who would have a Guilt dream and honestly Abigail would to.
HANNIBAL IS TRENDING YALL prepare the chicken soup, the homoerotic dinner parties, the Dante metaphors, the Will Graham Slut Arc, light your Abigail Hobbs saint candles, and pray to the RavenStag for Season 4!!!!
i hate when people call will graham a sacrificial lamb coded character. like no!! abigail was the lamb. will is humanity, corrupted. hannibal was playing god and abigail had to die so that he could forgive will of his betrayal.
