Sup, everybody!
It’s definitely been a minute since I’ve posted. I’m sorry! A lot has happened the past few weeks. I’ll be going to New Orleans for a mission trip and Washington DC for the BAP annual meeting in the next few weeks. Also, I received news last week that I am one of the recipients for the PCAOB’s $10,000 scholarship for the year! This is a huge blessing. Because of the scholarship, I won’t have to pull out anymore loans, I’ll receive my other scholarships in refund, I was even able to purchase a MacBook Pro (I had an Air before, but the Pro is so much better), and I’ll be able to study abroad in Italy/England over Winter Break. In short, this scholarship is a huge answer to my prayers. God truly provides!
I’m so ready for the semester to start though. I’m ready to be on a set schedule and I’m ready to be through with undergrad!
Don’t get it twisted though, I understand that it’s my last year at Univ. and I need to savor it. I definitely will! I’m just ready to start on my goals. I’m ready to move to St. Louis and start my career. I feel that with college, I’m just treading water with academic performance. Yeah academics are important to me, but I feel that once I get out and into my career, my progress towards my goals will increase exponentially. I’m so ready for that!
It’s definitely been a challenge for me to balance living in the present and future. It’s a constant issue! I’ll keep y’all updated on my progress with this, but as of now, I’ve been keeping a conscious effort on living in the moment. I’ve definitely been feeling the benefits of it! However, I don’t want to get to the point of becoming lazy, unfocused, and unmotivated to pursue my goals. That’s where a lot of people mess up- they get caught up in the here and now.
I feel that a lot of people struggle with this constant balance, but I want to be able to balance the two. I feel that there are enormous benefits in doing so. Those reading- do you seem to struggle with balancing the two?

I hope everybody’s doing great!! My summer began this week, but one of my summer classes began on Monday! I’m happy to say that I finished my HARDEST semester with a 4.0. This is definitely a blessing, as my Tax class was my lowest grade and I made a 52 on the final (haha, thank you curve). Also, the day I found out that I pulled a 4.0, I received news that I had landed and Audit internship with a large STL firm, and we’ll be auditing my University in the fall!! This is so exciting, as my current summer internship is with my school’s accounting department. In short, I’ll be getting both perspectives of an audit!
I try to place a beneficial piece of information in all of my posts, both for the readers and personal benefit. As I approached finals week, I was empty of motivation! This is because I was having to study for finals that were all cumulative. However, as I’ve said in previous postings, it’s key to keep your goals in front of you. Both with connecting my finals with my ambition and remembering that there was a short amount of time left with school, I was able to capitalize on the tests. However, don’t get it twisted!! This was definitely a blessing from God, as it wasn’t possible for me to study all of the material I learned all semester in EVERY class in such a short amount of time. THANK YOU, JESUS!!!
ONE MORE YEAR OF COLLEGE; ONE MORE YEAR OF SOUTHEAST MO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
