I’ve been incessantly pestered to join Tumblr, so I figured today’s the day. Welcome to the blog!

For those who know me, if you’re a student: This account is not affiliated with my official positions or ranks, nor is it affiliated with the Galaxy Garrison or Voltron Coalition. I’m using this blog for my personal life (to an extent). I’m only gonna tell you this once, so if you see something here that offends you, that’s your own damn fault.

For those who don’t know me: Hello! I’m Takashi Shirogane to most of the known universe, but here, you can just call me Shiro. Since I spend most of my hours managing and maintaining a majority of Earth’s interstellar affairs, it seems that the Internet is the easiest way to get me socialized that doesn’t involve rearranging my entire schedule. Also, multiple people in my life keep complaining that I haven’t joined, so there’s that. Getting a peek behind the curtains is always fun, isn’t it?

Either way, I’ll be using this blog to post updates of what’s going on in my corner of the universe, and probably also memes as well. A lot of them.

I hope you enjoy your stay here, and if not, well, it’s not like I’m gonna stop you. Do whatever you want, I’m not your principal on this blog.

Some Traditional Art :D

Oyyy some traditional Art. Basically I am having a weekly challenge ongoing where a randomizer tells me what OC I should draw- These are currently the ones from my Vantallion universe :D

1. Flavio and Sunja- They are babies (and Phoebe photo bombing in the background. She's Flavios Girlfriend and supports their marriage a lot)

3. (Left) Shiro and Viridias- even if Viridias looks like a serious business man, Shiro babies him to death (and hell he enjoys it). (Right) Yellow in Admin clothes and a bomb. The bomb is for people with green hair because they really can't stand them. (For reasons)

Hi, all.

You may have noticed that, about a year ago, this little blog crashed into a wall with a not-so-pleasant ending. The original admin uploaded a (really great!) vinyl rip of No Sleep ‘til Athens alongside an abrupt message that she was going to take her own life, followed by an immense, resounding silence.

I am not going to deny what happened, but I won’t be going into depth in deference to her privacy. What’s good though is that I can confirm very easily that she survived her attempt. I, the writer of this update, am her (irl) boyfriend of 4 months; on her behalf, I will say that things are going well as can be nowadays.

Anyway, here’s the actual state of the blog as of now. I’ll do my best to cover all my bases. (TL;DR: We’re back in business, baby!)

The main deal, if you haven’t already gathered: @leifedling is now a joint account. The blog is not being left to me and me alone! Shiro (the original admin) and I will both be posting here as we please.

For distinguishing and theatric purposes, we will now be including sign-offs for each post. I will sign posts I write with Mod Leffe. Shiro will sign her posts with Mod Rob.

Mod posts will also be tagged as such.

As of now, there is no specific posting schedule. (I don’t think there ever was one in the first place anyway.) We are busy and troubled people and so we will upload scans, photos, interviews, clips, and so on simply when we can/when we want. We’ll try to be active, keyword being try…

This is for fun! I think I am a bit more serious or formal than Shiro Mod Rob, hem hem, but this is still just a hobby for me.

Ship of the Day: Adashi and Shurtis

Names: Takashi Shirogane (AKA Shiro) and Adam W., and Shiro and Curtis, respectively.

Ship Name(s): Adashi and Shurtis

Original Content: Voltron: Legendary Defender (2016-2018), adapted from the original Voltron series (1984)

Ship info:

Voltron is a show on Netflix following the Paladins of Voltron- the ‘Defender of the Universe’. Fighting a losing battle against the Galra Empire (a volatile alien group who had plagued the universe for millennia, destroying planets and enslaving the races on them), 5 paladins stumble upon one of the sentient lion mecha ships. These 5 ships ‘choose’ their paladin and combine to become the giant robot warrior Voltron as a team- with Shiro (Takashi Shirogane), the paladin of the black lion as the head, the leader. The series follows this group as they try to save the world and defeat the Galran Empire, with varying successes throughout the series.

Now, there were multiple queer ships within this fandom at the time such as Klance (paladins Keith and Lance of the red and blue lions), though the two canon ones were greatly controversial- Shiro and Adam and then Shiro and Curtis. Voltron ran across 7 seasons, with no mention of Shiro’s sexuality until the final season. It is in this season that Adam is briefly mentioned as his dead fiancé who had died in a battle against the Galran’s prior to the formation of Voltron. There is a lack of exploration into this, with a severe lack of character building for him- just getting introduced and killed off in a flashback and a visit to a memorial. Curtis was also introduced this season, as a background character,,, with about 2 lines total. His relationship to Shiro within this time is shown as purely ship captain/crew, with them being shown getting married within a postcard shown within the outro of the epilogue.

Type of Ship: Queer bait/ bury the gays trope

As previously mentioned, this was a very controversial move for Voltron, with fans being outraged, claiming they were queer baiting and feeding into the trope of ‘bury the gays’ and i am inclined to agree (yes, i was once one of these Voltron fans, no, i dont want to talk about that stain on my fandom history/j). By giving Adam no character development and instantly killing him off,  they bought into the bury the gays trope- wherein studios add gay characters to appease calls for representation and LGBTQ+ fans and then dont bother to flesh out the characters, making them one dimensional before killing them off so they dont have to actually display a queer relationship at all. Similarly, there was outrage over Shiro and Curtis, whose relationship was non existent and then just jumped to a singular image of their wedding day, yet again failing to actually explore any semblance of queer relationship within the show. I for one agree with the fans on this subject, feeling as though it was just included to tick boxes and to try to score points with the large amount of LGBTQ+  people within the fandom- which was clear based on their reactions to Pidge (Paladin of the green lion) and their exploration of gender.

Hello! :D I know it’s a silly question..but i was playing sims(as one does) and I wondered if you had any hcs of the paladins interior style? Like what colors (not only their signature I guess)and type of furniture? What type of home/apartment?I’d appreciate the help! Have a nice day!

okay absolutely have not had mental capability for like anything creative but I’ve also started a job in real estate so interior design make me go brrrrrrrr lately-

Shiro I feel like is either really plain and like necessities only or really homely. Like he either has the most basic cheap couches and tables and chairs and like, the plain white plates you can by at Walmart for like 10 bucks (you know the ones) and all the walls are just whatever color the previous owners/renters had them as so he has a random light pink room, a green room, etc. OR OR OR you walk in and get smacked in the face by comfort, like he has knick knacks and pictures and random antiques littering every surface, he has a china cabinet with the fancy dishes, he has a cabinet dedicated to coffee mugs and like only two of them match cause the rest of that set broke ages ago, all the other Paladins have their own designated mug, like it’s never specified but like, you KNOW the teal one with the cow that god knows where came from is Kieths, and that’s just how it works. I don’t think he has a specific color pallet bc it’d depend on like what the house looks like, and it’s either minimalistic or the vibe of the house.

Kieth has an apartment, his bed is on the floor, the only reason he has a couch is because Lance and Hunk just showed up with it one day and left it there. His cabinets are boxed Mac and cheese and canned beans, he uses paper plates/bowls and plastic cups/silverware, and there’s only like two pictures in the whole place, one of him and the other Paladins (and Allura and Coran) and one of him, his mom, and Kosmo. He’s not much of a stay in one place type so he doesn’t have a lot BUT if he were to decide to settle and make a home it’d have a garage, a huge backyard, and enough space for any and all of the Paladins to visit, and let’s face it, Lance probs did most of the decorating, as long as Keith has a place to sleep he doesn’t really care much what it looks like.

Lance is Aesthetic™️ and you can’t change my mind. He’s full on redecorating his house for every single holiday, his attic is a maze of shit only he knows how to navigate. His kitchen is probs black and white with a pretty accent color and his dishes all match the kitchen color scheme, like the fancy ones with the swooshy designs, ya know? So. Many. Throw pillows. Lol. Has pictures of his family and the paladins everywhere, along with various pieces of art. Walking in is like stepping in a magazine but at the same time feels so comforting.

Hunk plants everywhere. I don’t know how to explain it, but he’s a total plant dad. His kitchen is immaculate, the kind of place you love to hang out in, also has mismatched mugs bc he likes to collect them from places he’s gone and it’s a go to gift for him. I think he has a bunch of books on everything from How To guides to the entire Riordanverse. Tools scattered everywhere and various projects littering almost every surface. Has a blanket his grandmother knitted him draped over his couch. Random Voltron merch everywhere bc he can’t help himself when he sees it.

Pidge is either a clean freak with a perfectly put together house (as long as you don’t open those drawers) or it’s a fuckin mess and a half with a walking trail from one room to the next but otherwise there’s no way in hell. Also has projects literally everywhere, collections of random space tech, we’re not gonna question it. Probs a fairly monotonous place, lots of whites and greys, has an entire bookshelf for family pictures and sentimental things but aside from that, it’s the house of a scientist. Has a plush green lion on her couch. Has two perfectly cleared out mostly untouched guest bedrooms in case her family or any of the paladins visit.

Gonna preface this by saying that this is my attempt to approach this purely from an observational standpoint about a evolving  narrative. My opinions on the Content Creators and the discourse surrounding them I will keep to a minimum...

I watch the QSMP and enjoy it for what it is, but I have no delusions about what it is becoming. It is currently in a state of decay and started to be so about the time of "The Egg Arc".

While I do like what they were doing with the eggs, the nature of their place on the server, "fragile and fleeting", has become a narrative albatross. Everyone MUST be pro egg. Anything that wants to remove the eggs is the antagonist. It has created some great tension as to who the antagonist is, but the "Fragile and Fleeting" aspect is being ignored due to sentiment that the Eggs are children and the admins behind them are real people who's presence will be eliminated from the story. The content creators that are adoptive parents are in a catch 22 of log on nearly every day to do tasks to keep eggs a live or they die or living life like a normal human being. To lose an egg is to lose purpose, as many creators that have lost eggs rarely log in to participate in lore, let alone play the game. Then there is the community that has also become attached. The eggs beloved as they are now, have served their narrative purpose and should either transition to a new role or be removed from the story. But the death of an egg is such an impactful event on the server. The players and admins go through actual processes of grief as they deal with a loss and because of this, I think the authors, or Quackity, took pause, CHANGED THE STORY, to revolve around the eggs being permanent fixtures that CAN die, but don't have to. Shiro from Voltron was written as a character that had an arc and was suppose to die, but was reintroduced in a role where he had no purpose except to exist. It was awkward to watch the series with a dead man, reanimated on fandom whims. In Guild Wars 2, a major character death was thwarted because the community was fond of a relationship between 2 of the characters. In the original Transformers Movie, the death of Optimus Prime was devastating to a generation, but if you watched the next few seasons of the show, Optimus returned from the dead, and he was so displaced, he became antagonistic toward his allies because he was not suppose to be alive in the world he was dragged into. All of these deaths had the narrative purpose to allow other characters to grow and develop into heroes. And with these examples, they did die so the growth still happened, but with a undeath presence in the story. For the QSMP eggs undeath, the gamble is if the eggs die, will the audience stop watching, or worse, attack those responsible for them. I think the best solution for this is to let the eggs go. They have to become something else: Hatch, be revealed for their true purpose or even die. Many of the content creators now have expressed they have plans on arc they can take their characters if the eggs perish. The admins playing the eggs can be free to take up new roles and identities in the story and I think we all can come out better in the end. And this is the second problem with the QSMP: Community Entitlement. Throughout, the community has been amazingly supportive but also zealously protective of the server and its residents. People have their ships and there is a constant push to see these ships happen, even when content creators have expressed their actual discomfort with shipping. The most notable ones being Spreen in the discomfort instance and Rubius in forced ship interference. While Rubius seems to have been persuaded to try again, Spreen became frustrated early and left. Rubius, having a strange existence on the server,  often logged in to play with his longtime friend, Vegetta, but was torn into by people that saw him as a threat to Foolish and Vegetta's "relationship" since they had an Egg together. It also didn't soothe the community that Rubius way of playing was feared to put eggs in danger. It also goes for content creator's personal lives. Missa going on trips to Japan and folks still insisting to log into the server and take care of his "son". The task system holding people hostage as summer events and cons are in full swing, and no effort was made to pause events during, so creators that were on were required to do it all (Hello, BadBoyHalo enjoyers ^-^). There is also bullying content creators for the crime of behaviors in role play that SHOULD NOT be conflated with the ACTUAL person. This isn’t exclusive to QSMP, but I have seen it time and time again on servers where it had to be addressed. Content Creators have repeatedly said that they are portraying characters and  Lore™ is part of a role play, and some still don’t seem to grasp that. This has no easy solution, as it is audience perception and that requires personal responsibility and common sense. As for the pressure to stream daily, I think the QSMP needs seasons or chapters, and not be an ongoing server. It can give creators time to make plans, have lives and do other content without community backlash. The third problem I think I am seeing is "chasing the dragon". The lightning in a bottle nature of a Minecraft server with a gimmick is to keep people interested in that as a product. The QSMP’s selling point is that its multilingual, but it is increasingly becoming an English server. Out of convenience and profit as the Spanish, Portuguese and French speaking streamers are getting the subscriptions from the English speaking audience. While I really like that Baghera and Foolish learning Spanish is a good thing no matter what, even Quackity is pivoting hard to English when possible. There is also the CONSTANT hype over penny-ante BS for server events is wearing thin. “Another threat to the eggs? Are they going to all DIE this week?“ “The end is near! For real this time“ “Come to the big unnecessary party that is absolutely not a trap“ I am sure the writers for the QSMP have an epic story to tell, You kinda get glimpses of it on occasion, but we are in a state of low expectation due to what we are getting. Easy solution is to let the writers tell their story. The community theorists may have hit on some notes that were close to the mark, but that shouldn’t be a deterrent to continue. Theorist base theories off of GOOD storytelling. Looking at this like a tabletop RPG, means some unforeseen things can happen when players do something that throws a wrench in the DM’s story, like blowing up a major candidate for an election during a talk show, they work with it. I think the writers know what they want to do and how to go about it. They just need to be allowed to do it. Thank you for reading.

Toshiro and Momo's mission was to investigate a region with the increased reports of hollows. Momo was so happy she's with her Shiro. Toshiro was the usual with his "It's Captain Hitsugaya!". Then Toshiro was being the tsundere he is by going don't be too laxed we're on a mission, we have to focus. Momo reminded him that she's a lieutenant. Then they sensed the hollow. I bet he was real happy cus Momo was like "Yes, Sir!" when he said "Let's go!" as they faced the hollows. Then the day ended with them finishing the documents and Toshiro worried over the next troubles Rangiku could cause with the WEEK LONG shuffle. Momo was like "I think it'll be okay..." HAHA and yes, a week long shuffle HAHAHA

When the week ended, Rangiku told her captain that she was in the 4th division. She was actually good help compared to the first Lieutenant's shuffle (because she and Shunsui just drank), but Captain Unohana was happy with her help. It really helped. Problem was she ended up becoming too close to them that she told Toshiro that she has drinking plans with them for that night HAHAHA The ending was Toshiro being stressed as per usual HAHAHAHA

Ohhhhh thank you so much for posting it!! Made me super happy to know there was a time Hitsugaya and Hinamori did work together, and perhaps even fought together. Rangiku makes a good fit for Squad 4 actually! Since she’s so caring. And I really thought that she’d also somehow end up in Kyoraku’s squad and they’d end up drinking together (Glad to be proven right!)

I’m pretty sure Hitsugaya was secretly proud inside to show off his captain-side to Momo, while Momo was just plain proud of her Shiro-chan, even as they were both worrying about Rangiku haha. On the admin side, they would work together well since they’re both hardworking and take care of their paperwork (hence they’re a good fit for Rangiku and Hirako respectively), but in the long-run I think Toshiro would always be a little worried about Momo in battle, even if as she’s pointed out, she’s also a lieutenant. That’s why I’m really glad for stories like these. They actually make me want to play Bleach Brave Souls too! Thanks for posting screenshots and telling me all about what happened!

[HEADCANON] Some Leaf Cleanup

So, I realized that Leaf has gone through some dumb shit in Kanto/Johto this past year (-cough cough- Rainbow Road -cough-) and things may get a little weird when interacting with Kanto/Johto muses, so let me break a few things down here.

The main things of reference are:

Rainbow Rocket part 1

How she obtained Mewtwo

Kuro (Zekrom)

Her current Ultra Space stuff (that I haven't discussed here yet)

So let me break this down into three possibilities: Mainverse (the main canon), Adjusted verse (if she's a drop-in for your Leaf/Green), and Ultra Space visitor (if she's a foreign Leaf for... some reason). Most solos go under the first sense except for the below note. Thus, I don't tag them because, at the end of the day, it's still the same Leaf.

As a note: blackfog2023 will go on the Adjusted verse assumption unless someone asked otherwise

Main Leaf:

Rainbow Rocket invaded Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn in the main world. Cinnabar Island was wiped off of the map for about 9 months or so before Heidi recreated it using her Arceus powers.

Mewtwo was RR Giovanni's Mewtwo. She caught it after a chase for 4 months within the Embedded Tower.

Leaf is considered the Nuevo Hero of Truth but has Kuro (Zekrom). Zinnia's the Nuevo Hero of Ideals but has Shiro (Reshiram). Both Kuro and Shiro are only 3 or 4 years old and ARE NOT the BW Zekrom/Reshiram. Leaf obtained the extra Black Stone from Hilda and obtained Kuro mid-Mewtwo fight.

Leaf Travels to Ultra Space partially to obtain more information about the difference between the different Legendary Pokémon. Amaterasu (Izanami's Solgaleo child) takes her there all of the time. She's currently worried about a potential return of Team Rainbow Rocket, despite the loss of Giovanni and all of the admins.

Adjusted Leaf:

There was a Rainbow Rocket incident that occurred in Hoenn in the main world (or a Kanto of another world with Zinnia and crew). Cinnabar is fine (well, as fine as GSC Cinnabar can be I guess)

Mewtwo was RR Giovanni's Mewtwo. She caught it in Hoenn / Ultra Space.

Leaf obtained the Black Stone (and Zinnia obtained the White Stone) from an excursion in another world. She caught Kuro in Ultra Space as well.

Same as Main Leaf.

Ultra Space Leaf:

She's travelling through the world with Amaterasu, Izanami's Solgaleo. He doesn't battle at all and she's not his trainer, but you may see it from time to time when regrouping with others of the main world.
