I have to know if this is a common sentiment in the Ace Attorney fandom. So basically I watch a lot of Ace Attorney YouTube videos. A lot of them being rankings and stuff whether that be of cases or characters. And something that I've seen 2 or 3 times now is the sentiment that there was not an interesting/well written female characters in the series until Dahila Hawthorne. And while I do think that some female characters are lacking like April May or Lotta Hart. (Which I don't even think April May is all that bad either.) Overall I think they are done pretty well BEFORE Dahlia. Like do Adrian Andrews, Lana Skye, Morgan Fey, Dee Vaquez, and even Maya Fey not exist to y'all?
To anyone anyone who says this you just don't think about female characters writing as much as you think you do. And you don't allow yourself to see the nuances of female characters.

Adrian Andrews is the most tragic Ace Attorney because she presumably has to pay thousands of dollars in prescription fees for every time her glasses break from shock

[Image ID: A digital illustration of Adrian Andrews from Ace Attorney with loose, pixellated line art. She wears her blue turtleneck from Justice For All. She is crossing her arms protectively around herself, her face cast slightly downwards and her eyes closed. She wears a conflicted expression. Behind her, there are a few roses and other small flowers twisting in a crown like shape above her head. The background is an indigo color with a flowery curly cue pattern. End ID.]

When you finally find another person to be emotionally dependent on - Adrian Andrews!
[ID: Semi-realistic art of Adrian Andrews in her aa3 design on the right side of the canvas. She is drawn from the hips up, looking off to the side with her orange notebook pressed against her waist, pushing her glasses up with her spare left (to the viewer) hand. Her eyebrows are raised and her mouth is slightly agape with a small blush drawn in the style of squiggles. She is drawn canonically accurate except for five accessories, a pencil and notepage earring set, a necklace with a clock on it, a simple golden band bracelet and her belt has a sea shell detail on the buckle now. The background is a neutral grey, four simple drawings of Adrians face in a chibi form detailed around her, in various stages of flustered and happy. There are also two exclamation marks next to her face and many love hearts. The art is heavily coloured in dark and light shades of orange. On the cover of the notebook, there is the artists signature, "Raincandyart." /end ID]

When you first meet Adrian Andrews in the Stolen Turnabout case, present her Phoenix's portrait and you get this random interaction. I don't know why I find it so funny but the idea of a bulked up Phoenix is so goofy to me
