Quick fact: I looked up different couple sleeping positions and chose which ones fit best with the HQ boys :b

Characters: Iwazumi, Atsumu, Sakusa, Bokuto, Suna, & Ushijima.

Contains: Fluff, small bits of intimacy, cuddles, giggles, goodnight kisses.

Synopsis: The best thing for your boyfriend is coming home late from work and being able to sleep with you in your comfy bed. Nothing beats a good nights’ sleep with his favorite person in his favorite sleeping position.

Atsumu:

Atsumu’s favorite sleeping position is: “Over the Body.”

Whenever Atsumu gets home later than usual from practice, you know he’s going to be exhausted. Usually you have dinner ready for him, the bath ready as well, and have the bed made. He usually rushes his meal and his bath so he can quickly make it to bed with you.

Usually, you’re reading a romance novel by the time he comes to bed. As soon as you hear him brushing his teeth , you know to get ready for his arrival to bed.

Atsumu loves to climb into bed and position himself where his whole torso is laying on yours. Yes, at first it was a bit uncomfortable, but you ended up loving how close you can hold him. He’s your big baby. <3

With your busy schedules, you two hardly see each other. Being able to cuddle, hug, and sleep with Atsumu this close, never gets old. He loves to take in your sweet scent and hear your heart beat. He especially loves when you rub small circles on the back of his head.

As soon as he’s in this position, he falls fast asleep. You usually give him a good nights’ kiss and fall asleep right after.

Iwazumi:

Iwazumi’s favorite sleeping position is: “Face to Face.”

Iwazumi usually gets home late, and when he does, you’re already fast asleep.

You try your best to stay up and wait for him, but due to your early morning job, you are used to sleeping early.

Most of the time, you have dinner ready for him, his pj’s set aside on the bathroom counter, and his side of the bed waiting for him.

You sleep on the right side of bed while he sleeps on the left side. You always sleep on your right side, meanwhile he sleeps on his left side, facing you.

He loves to cuddle with you, but he knows you get hot easily and he knows how much you despise waking up hot in the middle of the night. So he compromised with you and now you to sleep facing one another. Your loose right hand always ends up intertwining with his.

Before he closes his eyes, he always kisses you good night on your forehead, caresses your soft face, and adores you for a while. Once he’s had enough of your beauty, he falls fast asleep.

Ushijima:

Ushijima’s favorite sleeping position is: “Spooning”

As soon as he gets home, he goes into the kitchen to drink his protein shake that you have ready for him.

You usually take a shower together, talk in there about your days and get ready for bed.

When in bed, he loves the classic spooning position. Of course, Ushijima is the big spoon, meanwhile you’re the little spoon. He’s doesn’t like to admit it, but the two reasons he loves this position is; he gets to be close to you, and he loves the differences in size between the two of you.

He loves to wrap his big arms around your waist and give you small pecks on your shoulders. He loves to remind you that he feels like he is protecting at all times, even during your sleep time.

The closer he can be with you, the better for him.

Sakusa:

Sakusa’s favorite sleeping position is: “The Craddle.”

Usually when Sakusa arrives home, especially the times he’s very late after intense volleyball practice, he goes straight to shower and straight to bed.

Your boyfriend wastes no time to make it straight to you. He misses his best girl very much and just wants to be laying in bed with her.

Usually in bed, you are finishing up work emails/drafts, and as soon as he’s out of the shower, you close your laptop and welcome him with a kiss.

You sleep on the left side of bed while he sleeps on the right. He loves to sleep on his back, with his right arm extended. Meanwhile you love to sleep in a “craddle position, when your arms and legs are latched on your boyfriend.

Once in your sleeping position, he places his right arm on your side, and kisses you good night.

Sakusa loves to sleep like this with you because it shows his love for you. How he protects you and how you feel loved by him. You are his baby, his everything.

Suna:

Suna’s favorite sleeping position is: “The Leg Hug.”

Suna and yourself usually get home around the same time from work. Usually, you two cook together, eat together, and shower together.

Once all that is done, you two get ready for bed. He loves for you to sleep in one of his t-shirts, with nothing but panties on. Meanwhile, he loves to sleep in nothing but his boxers on.

Once in bed, you love to sleep on your tummy meanwhile he loves to sleep on his back. Unlike other couples, who sleep literally on top of one another, you two enjoy some space but love your legs touching.

Suna loves to intertwine his legs with yours, which makes him still feel the warmth of your skin. This is his sign of affection and love for you, even when you sleep.

Bokuto:

Bokuto’s favorite sleeping position is: “The Starfish.”

Bokuto loves to come home as soon as his volleyball practice is over to get ready to sleep with his baby girl. You usually have the bath ready for him, and his cup of warm tea waiting for him on the knight stand.

He loves to give you billions of kisses all over your face, meanwhile cupping your adorable face that he loves so much. After that, he always falls fast asleep. Usually you two start by sleeping in the “spooning position.” But every single morning, you two wake up with Bokuto in the “starfish position.”

Both of his long arms and legs are extended on you and the side of the bed, like a starfish. Meanwhile you’re huddled up in the small edge of the bed.

You used to get mad at him for not wanting to cuddle, but you got used to this after three years of being with him. Usually when you wake up, you never help but giggle in his most comfortable position.

After thought:

My first head canon of 2023! I have some in my drafts ready to go, but I just wrote this one today.

Once again, I hit my “brain block” era, but as I was laying in bed, without any ounce of tiredness in me, I decided to write this. It’s about to be 2:00 a.m lol.

My favorite one has to be Suna’s sleeping position!

He wants to cuddle you, but he can't :(

So, he settles for the next best thing. A bed with as many pillows as humanly possible

"Consider it a substitute for my unfortunate lack of a physical form."

He reads you bedtime stories willingly (especially if you ask him to read you his script.)

He pulls your blanket back on top of you if you somehow manage to kick it off.

"What? Tired again already? Very well, take a nap."

If you fall asleep as a result of his voice he's so smug. "Of course they would fall asleep. Who wouldn't, listening to my beautiful voice?"

It takes him a while to learn how he should regulate his voice around you. Surprisingly, humans can't sleep though a loud British man screaming about his stories (who knew??) So, there's a bit of a learning curve to that

He liked to watch you sleep. Not in a creepy way, but in a "my significant other feels comfortable enough to fall asleep in my presence and oh my god is this what love feels like"

If you fall asleep when he's narrating he's torn between fondness and irritation

"You humans are all the same," he says as he spawns in a bed. "I don't know why I even bother."

Then when you're conked out all he can think is: "I love you."
