hi anon! thank you for reaching out to me!

regarding the nuis, i pre-ordered them from the atlus shop and sent the relevant links to japan shopping service (https://jpshopping.jp/). however, i'm not entirely sure if they still have any in stock which takes me to my next point...

since the nuis have already been released, you'll likely need to buy them through third-party sources/resale for aftermarket price. there's two things that come to mind:

mercari: a keyword search of "persona plush" should get you multiple listings of the nuis, as well as other persona-related plushes. you can also choose to look through the tags #atlus, #persona3 (replace 3 with the game of your choice) and find merch that way. make sure to read reviews of the seller before buying and check the product photos + description! ^-^

other JP proxies: there is a REALLY nice guide from aikotos that i reblogged some time ago, if you wanted to buy from JP sites. i think using keyword searches like "ペルソナ３ぬい" for persona 3 nui) should help! hell, if you wanted to buy the fabled pitanuis, you might be able to find them here too.

while i don't have personal experience buying from these sites, i have friends who can vouch for these... mercari especially ^-^ ! hopefully these anecdotes can help you.

in any case, i wish you the best with getting your own nui! they're absolutely 100% worth purchasing methinks i mean just look at my nui tag...! if you need any additional help feel free to send me an ask and i'll try to get back to you when i can. happy nuimas!

Flowers and Butterflies, My thoughts on The Answer's Opening

Spoilers obviously

The Red Spider Lillies on that Opening, it's next to Cherry Blossoms as a Flower manages to capture the themes of Persona 3 perfectly, even if he's gone life goes on.

Makoto walking through them is meant to be him passing on to the afterlife.

Speaking of cherry blossoms we have a shot of A Cherry Blossom Petal at the end as both a callback to the rooftop scene as well as to foreshadow them eventually moving on from the past.

From my Aikoto doc:

The meaning behind these flowers can be found in that cherry blossoms take two weeks to grow and are whisked away by the spring winds as they blossom They are ephemeral plants, meaning that they last for only a short period of time. Therefore, they are the perfect metaphor for mortality. I do not believe this is not the intention of the developers how much the cherry blossoms resonate with Persona 3’s theme.

We have flowers that symbolize both Parting and a New beginning, appropriately enough appearing at the beginning and the end of the opening.

And Episode Aigis is all about that transitional period between those two, The grieving, how everybody needs to move on and not let the pain of his death burden them, that is easier said than done especially for Aigis.

As the one closest to Makoto her humanity was brought upon by her learning about life, making precious bonds especially with him.

The blue butterfly here could symbolize two things Aigis's humanity, how Metis is born from her wishing it away after losing Makoto the one that had brought out the best in her it vanishing along with the scene, making this open a symbolic retelling of the scene where Aigis is running after him in her dreams or her role now as the wild card similar to the butterflies in the save points of P4 and PQ.

Humanity

First let's discuss her humanity since I found it to be the more interesting symbolism.

The butterfly is shown following him before transitioning to her waking up the moment shortly after when she stopped dreaming, and she cried, which i believe to be the catalyst event that resulted in the creation of Metis and the drawing of the Abyss of Time.

This is the dream she had before the beginning of the opening.

And at the end the butterfly meets with Aigis again. Even though it vanished along with Makoto it foreshadows at the end where Aigis's body was unable to handle the wild card yet she still returns her original personality intact ready to face the future with the rest of her friends.

She regretted casting away her humanity just because it hurts, she regrets not being able to attend his funeral and shutting herself from the others when they were mourning him.

After reuniting with Metis, she embraced her Humanity and started to cry, at the end of the OP, the butterfly that followed Makoto returned to Aigis making her human once more.

Wild Card

The Blue butterfly following Makoto could doubly mean something much simpler it's her being passed on the ability of the wild card, The answer has made it clear that Aigis didn't just awaken to the wild card but she has HIS wild card, she has his velvet room, his attendant, his compendium, his fusion spells (a trait unique to Makoto) and all of the personas within it belong to Makoto.

Even though he is gone, He lives on within her, and her Awakening is very special (She awakens to Makoto's Orpheus, this is the only time in Persona where the same Persona is awakened to twice) The butterfly coming back to Aigis is Makoto imparting his will onto her and because he trusts her to protect his friends and loves her so much and because Aigis is the one that felt the strongest towards him that she could have that power, no matter what way you read it, Makoto and Aigis were intimate in the Journey but In The Answer they are eternally connected.

Aikoto Week, Day #1

When did you realize Aigis was special to Makoto?

Truthfully, I was increasingly surprised by how far the game pushed the bar with this when I first played it. It’s tough to think of a single moment where they really crossed the line, yet it certainly was clear even before the blatant subtext of the ending that the two had a bond. If I had to pick a single moment, it would probably be when Makoto held her hand after her fight with Ryoji. Makoto doesn’t often react so independently of the player, but there so he did, and it’s the first time Makoto responds to someone independently in such a way (of course, all future incidents are also with Aigis). From that point on, we get scenes like Makoto being supportive of Aigis when she expresses guilt over sealing Ryoji within him, her rooftop confession in January, their reaction to each other after Makoto returns from confronting Nyx, and the ending scene, all of which solidified Aigis and Makoto’s bond far more. But this was the first scene that I realized this was the direction they were going, one where the player’s choices would take a backseat.

I still haven't played FES, because I played Portable, so I know I'm missing out so much, BUT I DEF HAVE A TYPE ALKFJSAKLJF Ryuji made such a strong impression on me that I became so partial towards anyone with the Chariot arcana 💀💀💀💀💀 I played p4 and Chie instantly became a fave (her awakening itself was so good, so I don't feel guilty dakjfslg), but then when I played as Minato, I had a soft spot for track boy Kazushi (Hamuko had Rio but I was already more partial towards Yuko ahaha), then I got SLAMMED by my love for Aigis (and her whole EVERYTHING), and at this point, it's me recognizing that I'm boo boo the fool for Chariots sdlkfjasdjf

BUT YES TO PEGORYU AND AIKOTO. They have such special spots in my heart, esp with how the story goes for both games, and I'm like. [head in hands] 😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤ never apologize for rambling, I am so sorry this is belated!!!
