Hey i drew these like a year ago and while my art style has changed somewhat i was looking back at old works saw these and thought that you might want to see them.

ok, sorry if question is a bit long and if you have answered, please put the link for me to see please. Well... what are the names of the heroes? What was each heroe's first choice? (I mean the ladybug and cat holder). I know that Marinette is with the Fox and Ivan with the turtle, but for some reason I think that if they swap it would combine more (I speak more in symbolism, ivan who cannot lie with the "miraculous of lie"). What is the weapon of each carrier? About the turtle and Ivan, I think a purplish blue would match more (that leatherback turtle). What are the camouflaged forms of each miraculous? Do you have the reason why every person has every miraculous?

A big ask, but thats okay! I'd love to answer! Note that some answers like names and weapons are subject to change, im not great with names and im less familliar with some characters than others so, opinions and other ideas are awesome :)

Bison? Hyland?, Guitar- its electric but doesnt have to be plugged in..

Adora (play on Adore), Frisbee

Ouroboros, Mirror shield (play on the medusa myth)

Tack (to temporarily fasten something together), Big Needle

Captain Stinger (shortened to Sting), Cutlass

Jockey?, Reins? maybe a whip

Alectryon, rooster body (i guess?)

Jack Rabbit (shortened to Jack), Pickaxe

Ridley (a type of turtle), Detatched shields- Bonus purpley-blue version: honestly it works just as well.

Tora (Japanese for tiger, i think), Sythe

R.A.T (acronym for Rodent Assist Team? idk, funny bit based on pokemons F.E.A.R strat lol, also sounds like a dj name??. also based on his purpose being mostly assisting pedestrians), Glow sticks (almost like a pair of lightsabers, without the deadliness. Basically glowing battons)

Boar, Boomerang (shaped like boar tusks).

Cirrus (a type of cloud, Aroure and Mirelle share the name and the miraculous), Lightning rod/ wind sock

Caprix (Play on Caprine), Chunky roller blades

Gibbon? (a type of monkey), one of those silly stretchy sticky hands

First choices are also listed there, if there isnt an alternative listed, they either had the same idea or no strong preference for a different holder. Regarding swapping holders based on symbolism (i.e. Ivan with the fox, Mari with the turtle) that would be super cool and i may draw them at some point in the future, but wouldn't fit with my au. This is because my bug and cat holders choose them based on preexisting relationships, traits, and talents.

Camouflaged forms are these:

Struggled with Alyas rabbit miraculous tbh, it doesnt quite fit with my au for it to stay a pocket watch anyway (the Rabbits power being swapped from Burrow in a time sense, to Burrow in a dig way) so i guess its normal activated form would be some kind of keychain? Alyas disguise currently is a tamogachi :)

Nino wears the mouse necklace wrapped around his wrist like a bracelet.

Max's snake bracelet turns into a smart watch.

Markovs claw connects to his existing claws, and mimics what claws he already has.

Mirelle and Aroure have similar chokers with the charm changed. Aroure has the lightning bolt, Mirelle has the rain drop. They have the chokers replicated by comission with Marinette so they can swap the actual miraculous between them when needed.

Sabrinas sunglasses are prescription. They could also be just normal glasses, no black tint, when appropriate.

Marcs ring, where rainbow, is iridescent!

The butterfly and peacock are still unavailable to our heroes.

Veilleuse and Ailes Rouge, or in English, Nightlight and Red Wings!

I imagined both parties had an input on eachothers name, Nath probably declaring himself BugBoy and Marc (with help from the black cat miraculous) shutting him down. They then meet up later at night to pick names (its an important decision for superheros!!) and Nath brings up how his eyes glow in the dark-

There are some jabs about a ladybugs wings not actually being red, but commentary about it being a key colour for a ladybug and something or other about a symbol of strength.

I have alot more doodles and lore for this au that may be posted sooner or later...

Anyway..

Veilleuses design hasnt changed since then but Ailes Rouge has, a little bit (as has my style since using the program more often):

Gamer- the first one- redesign! A screen cap redraw kinda.

Honestly, i really struggled with Gamer, he doesnt have alot going for him in canon, bar some stripes and a flat head?? So i gave him wire dreads, a VR headset and controls- connected direct to him. And for lack of other inspiration i gave him Shadow the Headgehog lookin shoes.

His wires connect from his wrist controls to his arms to his back, and from his headset to his chest. His hair-wires connect him to his mech in gamer 1.0. But are just decor in Gamer 2.0 really.

Gamer 2.0 just gives him the ability to summon UIs and control his game, having like the digital 'glove' things shown on the right when hes using the UI.

In my au, Marc starts off even more reserved than canon, he starts with his Beta design- or a version of it i guess. He gets a make over after being inspired by Nath/Rouges, and probably encouraged by Plagg.

Extra elaborating on how id change the episodes below.

During Origins/Stone heart, they dont fuck up because Alaise Rouge forgets to purify the akuma, but because he *cant reach it* in time.

This is because (and dont hate me on this hot take) Nathaniel sucks balls at teamwork. He'd describe humself as a lonewolf- or.. bug i guess. Atleast at first. And Marc conceeds too easily.

Rouge, though hes not called that in the begining (he also sucks ass at names too, so he puts it off as long as possible, probably introduces himself as Bug Boy, gets cringed at by local hobbyist author nameless-cat-boy who have not met out of costume yet, and promptly keeps that shit to himself) is a bit of a prick, he doesnt work in a team, and hes up front about it. I dont need your help, i dont work with other people. Excetera, excetera.

Understandably putting Marc off from the hero biz- until its shown on live TV Rouge *ahem* sorry 'Bug Boy'... is unable to catch the akuma on his own. The ladybug is able to scrape by a win and free the akuma- and despite saying he works alone, he was only able to win because Alix was there to help, same as canon. Though she doesnt have any super hero powers to help corner the escaped butterfly, and with the ladybugs current users weapon being a hammer, he cant quite reach the bug that flies.

Both of our heros have an "oh fuck-" realisation moment.

The ladybug apologises after a long scolding by Tikki, and the cat works up his nerves to try again after encouragement by Plagg. Both are off to a bad start with one another and their relationship isnt that great in the beginning, but they know that the only way to help the city is together.

So reluctantly they work together to neutralise the threat and announce their partnership and loyalty to the people of paris.

And things move forward.

If Nooroo are a Butterfly, why he only have the superior wings? Not the 2 pair?

Nooroo is based on a butterfly yeah, and i drew his wings like that because it looked less cluttered and nicer to look at, i thought.

Since hes not *acually* a butterfly, its not important to be practical about his appearance. Granted, if he wanted to have a form that was more accurate to his animal he would have both pairs of wings.

Don't know if you've already explained it, but how does the lovesquare work in your AU?

I cant actually remember if i have either- so heres a run down of like the first 2 "seasons" or "arcs". I dont really got a time frame for this au.

Starting with the Origins "episode". Nath and Marc dont know eachother, they know vaguely of eachother from school- but theyve not met.

Their hero alter egos though... get off on the wrong foot. The bug is adamant he cant work in a team and the cat... is rubbed the wrong way. They reluctantly work together in part 2 after the bug absolutely fucks up his job. (Could've been avoided with a teammate lol)

Arc 1, Nath and Marc still havent met. They meet via art club later this season. (Marc being pushed by Plagg and Marinette to make new friends, how about that art kid you follow?).

Our bug and cat reluctantly help eachother figure out their hero names and work together to fight akumas. Rouges is trying his hardest to make up for his shitty first impression, and Vei is.. sarcastic and blunt about it.

Rouges and Marc would be the Mari-Chat equivilent ig. But less interest.

While Vei and Nath would be the Adri-Bug equivilent. Less romance focused right now though, and more wow theyre so cool.

Nath and Marc are friends now! They dont write a comic together, they dont have enough time for that. But they hang out alot, they really click after meeting.

Rouges has a thing for Vei. But is just friends with Marc (he is developing a crush though)

Vei is warming up to Rouges, but thinks of him as just about a friend. but has a thing for Nath.

Note that my "Arcs" probably go by faster than "Seasons" would, so Act 2 would probably end up being mid. season 1?

Another akuma redesign- Timebreaker this time! Leaning more into bug (idk why bug but her original design gave me bug vibes) and clockwork. Their green bits are foggy glass or some sort of similar material. Theyve got a metal skeleton in there, full of clockwork machine instead of the human she was before. Her heart is replaced with her pocket watch.

Akuma thoughts:

I think itd be so much more metal if the watch was akumatized and our heros had to break the glass to get it out. Separating akumas from humans- they arent really, not when their akumatized, though it changes per akuma.

Like some are more human than others, some loose all humanity alltogether (Horrificator is a peak example- shes full beast) and some dont (Chameleon, Collector- Both human with added powers). It kinda shows a disconnect from a person and their anger and actions. Though thats not true for every akuma.

Anyway- ive got Gamer coming out next Tues- I dunno if im happy with him but i prefer it to canon lol.

Hi, Your art is amazing, can I ask how you draw your kwamis? They look so pretty and soft, having their essence, without look like canon.

To answer you're actual question though, I usually use the 'shape abstractions' and they are pretty much just shapes. I usually focus more on choosing a specific shape for a kwami, one that kinda reflects their personality.

So triangles and sharps for Plagg, Trixx, Longg.

Rounds and softs for Tikki, Wayzz, Fluff.

And so on.

I try to keep them simple and about the same level of detail to each other, but not just... boring. So i like to use patterns, the obvious spots for Tikki, but the stripes and splotches for Longg and Fluff.

How i decide whether limbs are attached is just wether or not i think they look good.

Lore headcanons under cut, infodump warning, but also doodles!

So i think its pretty much canon that kwamis can just??? shapeshift? or project a form that they want to be. So i never really got why they chose or stuck with the form in the show.

I like the idea that they are not normal, theyre magical, they dont work with physics. They dont need to breathe or sleep or eat (except to recharge), they dont even need a mouth to talk, they just do that for funzies. And their form would reflect that (abstraction).

Where does the food go when they eat it?? its certainly not going into their guts, they dont have any. Its converted into pure energy, the kind they use to power up.

Regarding the kwamis relationships with eachother, the zodiac kwamis are part of their own group, while the main five are alligned under Tikki and Plagg.

So really they should be separate boxes, i imagine some of the zodiac kwamis are abit peeved being stuck with them. Theyre essentially a found family, being stuck with another separate to theirs in the same house. or box even...

Kwamis choose their groups unless they are complementary (I.e. Tikki and Plagg), and when they do they bond for life, or eternity, since they arent mortal.

Not all kwamis get along, but within their own groups, wether or not they get along its more like family, i.e. sibling rivalry, falling out with a parent, whatever. But they will always back eachother up no matter what.

The zodiacs are not loyal to the creation/ destruction box and vice versa. They just happen to be put together by mortals.

Kwamis usually choose their primary forms as a group, so they match styles. Its usually done once every few decades unless a kwami chooses to bring it to attention and call a meeting. Sometimes if they bond enough with their mortals they might choose to reflect that in their forms, i.e. toys or truer to life versions.

Their true forms are similar to canon, giving biblically accurate angel vibes. Mortals dont usually react well, hense the smaller forms.

They do not know eachothers identities yet but my god will they bitch about their day to eachother over food.

They have met in their civilian personas- and hit it off together near instantly. Unlike how they met in their hero personas.

Ailes Rouges learnt *very* quickly about the benefits of teamwork... after butchering their debute ofcourse.

This takes place "post season one", if we were to assign arcs to their relationships: They have since learned to get along in the hero suits, Rouges finally being forgiven from his poor first impression by Veilleuse.

im no longer very happy with the normal coloured version of my design, shown in the reference, but oh well, i like this version. Doesnt really work if they were their origninal miraculous though, might redesign a different version.
