Bigass doodle dump! Let's break it down: 1st: from a thought of "What if Astrid grew horns" we had that we decided not to follow in canon. Astrid would have been worried that Azhka wouldn't like them, Azhka meanwhile is very bi and hi hello tall girlfriend 2nd: ref I had done EARLY on (like, roughly while I was playing through ARR) of what I imagine miqote fluff to pattern like for some miqos (this is Azhka, specifically). 3rd: ref of Astrid's enhrouded form, which looks far more like a sineater than a voidsent 4th: Big doodlesheet! Astrid hoisting her wife out of the water .2 seconds before dumping her back into the ocean, a pregnant Azhka (Astrid fantasia'd for a bit so they could have a child between the two of them), post-birth (Airik, their son, has a LOT of aether imbalance issues and he almost died shortly after birth because it was all out of whack. Astrid blames herself a little bit, Azhka has to soothe her that it's neither of their fault), Astrid holding her son and then Airik and his carbuncle begging for goodies Astrid belongs to @shoelesscosmonaut

Well he made it through the Wizard of Oz arc.

Came out the other side with a lot of neat outfits and a whole lot of trauma.

Predictions post Ep8 - Season Finale - Part Two

Kit & Airk are of course going to have their fight where she hopefully beats the bad right out of him.. He does look a bit rough here imo.. probably close to the end.. maybe even while Elora faces the Crone..

Elora, having ditched the jacket at this point, will face off with the Crone without her wand... this is most likely second half or towards the end quarter of the episode. This could be when the storm actually hits if it didn't before. Murky air..

Note: Warch the Crone trailing sparks as she walks.. kinda cool..

Then there are these two shots.. Spooky Bavmorda looking apparition & a little less hot (or maybe not, depending on ur taste😆🤭) Crone in funerary or dark bridal garb, looking menacing..

The wand will somehow make it into Graydon's hands... Question is what happened to the flute-wand? Did he loose it in a fight?

This is harder to guess where to place. Pretty sure second half of the finale.. maybe close to the crone fight? He's looking slightly up. Definitely determined.. Something to free or protect/safe Elora?

I love that Graydon's magic is purple btw 💜

Either way, I'm sadly pretty sure Gray will be gone in one way or another by episode end.

But, I'm quite sure he'll not be irretrievably lost.. My guess is he somehow ends up on the other side of that passage, which pretty certainly leads to the same place (plane of existence?) Madmartigan went.. Which would open all sorts of interesting possibilities for next (please🙏) season. I personally think it's a sort of death realm. Gray might even search for or encounter his brother, who knows, but we've been shown his brothers ring around his neck often enough that it wouldn't seem unlikely to play a part. (Might help find his brother)

Again noteworthy the broken staff. Can't tell if she has the wand again, wouldn't be surprised if not. Kit definitely wearing the cuirass.. love the design btw!

I like to think Elora is turning back here because she hears a whisper or voice .. Graydon? Guess we'll see..

Anyway, the countdown has begun!

Plot twist prediction. Madmartigan and Sorsha were actually trying to protect all 3 of their babies from the crone because she's going after Elora for her prophecy AND the twins to turn them evil and they know this. Protecting Elora = protecting Kit and Airik. Madmartigan left to get the magic armor for all 3 of his kids. Wouldn't be surprised if Willow predicted it. This isn't even a plot twist the crone already took Airik so now the kids can stop fighting over who is the favorite. Woohoo.

The Hillersjö Stone is the second largest rune stone in Sweden(the largest in younger futhark) and is 2,8 by 1,8 meters. It describes a complicated inheritance of the Snottstad Estate(which I think is still around) and the unfortunate marriages of two women. I’ve made a messy little gif trying to explain.

hey merryana :) are you watching the willow tv series?

Hiiiiiiiii kraina 🥰 I'm only up to ep3 atm and I'm really enjoying it so far!! I was just a big 🥺 when they introduced sorsha and mads' son as airik, and I think the casting of airik and kit is very spot on. I'm a huge fan of Erin Kellyman so I was delighted to see her being gay and beautiful too. At this point boorman is my blorbo of the month I adore him. I also think it's very sweet they didn't kill mads off screen to explain val kilmers absence.

I do have some critiques, namely the meta self depreciating humour that characterises so much fantasy/scifi reboots atm. It feels like a huge departure in attitude from the sincerity of the original, but I have that criticism of a lot of reboots these days.

I also feel it's somehow lacking in the detailed aesthetic of the original, but I appreciate how they've tried to recapture it by prioritising practical effects. Maybe it's the way it's shot so cleanly where the original was more intimate, hand-held, etc.

I also...as someone who wore out the recorded VHS tape of the original film as a kid...just don't vibe with how this reboot imagines sorsha. obviously I wasn't expecting her to be like she was before after having kids and being a queen, being away from her love, but there's something...mean in her in the way she treats willow, kit and elora that feels Wrong. maybe I haven't watched far enough along to understand why she's treating them this way though idk.

I'm very wary of Disney reboots after what happened with [gestures at star wars] but I'm cautiously enjoying myself atm. Loving swearing Warwick Thornton Willow, one of my OG blorbos in his element again ♥️
