Bara Sex - SVT edit
Meanwhile over on TikTok I stumbled on this edit that Omar reposted, because it featured him singing. Ten years ago this would have made the rounds here already, but we’ve got so much good mlm TV now that it’s just more for the pile. It’s cute though, but only available in Swedish. Hm.

Bara sex ('Just sex') on SVT Play
In the last two days, I watched this teen show that has apparently been very popular in Sweden. A summery little show sounded like a great way to stave off the boredom of being ill, and I also recognised it from tumblr (although it doesn't actually seem to have a fandom on here).
My own summary with minor spoilers:
S1 is about Miriam, 16, who has decided to have sex for the first time at a songwriting summer camp she and her gay friend Fabian are attending. She picks Cesar, 18, to do it with. Fabian thinks both Cesar and his friend Adam are douchebags, but Miriam thinks he seems nice, and it's just for sex anyway. (Maybe Fabian should try to find someone too?) S2 still features Miriam and Cesar, now 18 and 20, but we are equally treated to Fabian and Adam's POVs. Fabian has invited Miriam, Cesar, and some local friends including his neighbour Sebastian to celebrate Midsummer at his family's summer house. Things turn tense when Adam tags along uninvited, Cesar and Miriam are keeping secrets from each other, and Miriam's ex(es?) might be coming too.
Trailers for both seasons - but do not watch the S2 trailer unless you want to be spoiled for S1!
youtube
youtube
There are four eps in S1 and five in S2, 20 to 30 minutes each. There will be a third season due to high demand, but the first two were written as a mini-series. So, they are meant to be seen together and they tell a pretty complete story.
If you're only interested in queer romance, you may be tempted to just watch S2, as S1 is entirely from Miriam and Cesar's POVs. You can do that - indeed, important scenes involving Fabian that aren't shown in S1 are flashbacks in S2! But you will miss out on some nice glimpses of his story, as well as essential background to everyone's plot lines in S2.
If you are interested, SVT has made Bara sex available to stream from anywhere in the world, even without VPN! The downside is that there are only Swedish subs available, but you can try watching on your computer with a browser that offers Live Captions into English. Apparently, Microsoft Edge has that option, you just have to turn it on.
Those who speak other Nordic languages can also turn to their own public broadcasters' streaming services. Yle Areena has both seasons, NRK TV has S1 so far (sorry Danes, nothing on DR TV). Those links do require VPN if you aren't in Finland/Norway.
So is it good? Well, it's no SKAM, but I liked it!
The cinematography is beautiful with lovely Nordic summer vibes. The young actors feel quite natural in their roles - the occasional awkwardness is deliberate and feels appropriate to the characters and their interactions. The script is pretty solid for what it is: teenage relationship drama and struggles with self (don't expect very deep themes, although there is one darker plot point in S2). You do have to watch the whole thing to get a good grasp of the characters and their motivations, but once you do, they feel more consistent than some characters in Rykter, for example.
And yes, there is sex in this. Lots of straight sex in both seasons, and some gay sex in S2. It's very well done, realistic, about the same level of bold as in SKAM or Young Royals (the same intimacy coordinator also worked on YR S3). The creator of the show says she wrote Bara sex as a counterweight to an investigative journalism report on rough sex trends among teenagers: she wanted to highlight sex as a positive experience and taking charge of one's own pleasure.
Anyway, just wanted to share in case anyone else was interested!
ETA: I have just discovered that Malin B. Erikson isn't the only connection to YR! Two of the main actors also worked on the show as extras with a couple of lines.
Leo Harju (Cesar) was the Marieberg student whose phone Malin took on the camping trip in 3.02:
Tumblr media
...while Alexander Klum (Adam) was the guy who told Wille about dinner all the way back in 1.01. He also appeared in the background in later seasons, e.g. at church behind Henry and Walter in 2.01:

Welcome back to another installment of Vogue’s Most Dressed: 2025 Cannes Film Festival edition. We’re not here to say that anyone is the best—or worst—dressed, just that they’ve caught our eye with their outrĂ©, bold, and downright glamorous clothing choices over the course of the festival. Most Dressed is awarded for achievements in both quality and quantity. Take Kirsten Stewart, who only wore four (Chanel) looks at the festival. But in her pink tulle overskirt and her white short suit with a matching baseball cap, it’s safe to say she has our attention. On the other side of the coin, juror Jeremy Strong is pushing the limits of monochromatic dressing in a never-ending parade of brown, peach, and sage green suiting. Thanks to its high-octane glamour, the Croisette is always a sight to behold. But with the recent, controversial dress code crackdown, we were curious to see how celebrities would fare with their fashion choices sans nudity, volume, and trains. (I don’t know about you, but all of these rules strike me as terribly un-French.) Some, like Heidi Klum in a sweeping floral Elie Saab dress, chose to ignore the rules altogether, while Helen Mirren let her accessories do the heavy lifting. Isabelle Huppert, meanwhile, is probably making the powers that be reconsider if denim should be allowed on the carpet. Stay tuned for next year
Below, see Vogue’s picks for Most Dressed of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.Elle FanningFanning lived up to her Queen of Cannes title in the lead-up to her film, Sentimental Value. While she hit the red carpet looking every part a movie star in her beaded Gucci dress, she’s also embraced silliness. She nodded to Charli xcx’s declaration that it would be (among other things) a “Joachim Trier Summer.” So what’s a Gen Z superstar to do but wear a “Joachim Trier Summer” tee—from an 11-year-old T-shirt designer, no less? Fanning knows that fashion has power, and if her T-shirt gets butts in movie theater seats, then by all means, embrace the graphic tee!Alexander SkarsgĂ„rdThigh-high leather boots. Need we say more?Jeremy StrongA member of the jury, our favorite eldest boy has been putting around the French seaside town throughout the festival, be it at film premieres or lunch with the mayor of Cannes. He’s graciously given us a rainbow of desaturated, monochromatic looks to feast on, from a dusty rose corduroy set to a sage tuxedo. We can only imagine he has a fabulous muted suit in store for the closing ceremony.Halle BerryQuoth the Backgrid caption of a photo of Halle Berry wearing a black micro-sequin short suit: “Halle Berry dons another chic ensemble as she exits her hotel ahead of another event.” As a member of the jury, Berry indeed requires many chic ensembles for her many events, be it a voluminous high-low Celia Kritharioti dress, a pair of long jorts, or a nearly-100-carat Chopard snake necklace.Isabelle HuppertWhile Huppert is no stranger to out-of-the-box red carpet looks (this is the woman who kickstarted the bathrobe trend last Cannes, after all!), she has really outdone herself this time. From her arrival at the Nice Airport in oversized, chunky Balenciaga sneakers, to the backwards denim dress with a massive emerald brooch she wore on the Croisette, Huppert is eschewing traditional glamour for Demna’s more subversive vision. But can we expect a “no denim” rule at Cannes next year?Cara DelevingneThe model has really run the gamut in her brief stint at the festival. Be it her choppy black wig, glamorous evening dress complete with opera gloves and a hulking emerald, or her masc off-duty look, Delevingne has managed to say a lot with a smaller quantity of clothing than most.Helen MirrenWhat was that Coco Chanel quote about taking off one accessory before you leave the house? Helen Mirren hasn’t heard that one—or, more likely, she just doesn’t care.Irina ShaykFrom her shield shades and dad shoes combo to her roster of red carpet dresses, Shayk owned Cannes—even without a film to promote. Actors, step up your game!Heidi KlumThe model and television personality flouted the newly instated no-volume, no-trains rule at the Opening Ceremony in a pink Elie Saab dress that most definitely had both volume and a train. But that was far from Klum’s only eye-catching look. Even her arrival at the Nice Airport caught our eye, thanks to her camo and alligator Birkin bag and her Mickey Mouse hoodie.Kristen StewartStewart, making her directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, has turned Cannes into a Chanel-fest. On her first day alone, she wore a pink tweet short suit with a tulle overskirt and ended it with a white short suit with a baseball cap and micro tie.Eva LongoriaLongoria has more than leaned into the sparkle at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. On the red carpet, she opted for a disco ball-esque Tamara Ralph number and a teal sequined Elie Saab gown (both of which were outfitted with rule-breaking trains). Meanwhile, she celebrated her L’OrĂ©al ambassadorship in a stained glass Zuhair Murad dress. For Longoria, more is definitely more.Juliette BinocheAs president of the jury, we wouldn’t expect anything less than some serious looks from Binoche. Her white suit at the Eddington premiere remains the ’fit to beat in my book, but she’s in a league of her own with her asymmetrical Matrix-esque leather, purple hosiery, and sheer white cape.Alessandra AmbrosioWhile she’s spent more time off the Croisette than on, the model knows how to turn any stretch of space into a runway, from the Nice Airport—where she showed off her gray Kelly bag—to extracurricular red carpets, like the Red Sea Film Foundation’s “Women In Cinema” Gala, where she wore a highly embellished black Zuhair Murad dress.Diane KrugerWhile Kruger may not have the most looks in terms of quantity, she is giving us a lot to work with in her oversized banana yellow Givenchy dress and her layered lilac Prada dress. She even channeled her inner Black Swan in a strapless tulle Maje dress and white lace tights.John C. ReillyEverything is bigger in
Cannes? The actor is no stranger to headwear, but the festival saw a newfound commitment to headwear that’s earned comparisons to Colonel Sanders and Doug Dimmadome alike. Bless whoever is trying to watch a film with that hat sitting right in front of them.Mitchell Akat Maruko RaanSometimes one look is all it takes, as South Sudanese model Mitchell Akat Maruko Raan reminded us at the premiere of SirĂąt, where she wore a full-body leopard print look—complete with a 3D head. Like us, celebrity parents are all about nurturing their children’s development and skills however they can. For some, that includes ensuring their kids can speak another language fluently. Of course, famous or not, raising a bilingual child doesn’t happen overnight. It requires exposing your child repeatedly to the new language, according to the Linguistic Society of America. And there are all sorts of strategies to do just that. Some parents swear by not allowing their kids to speak English at home, while others also enroll their kids in language courses or stock the family library with child-friendly books written in the other language. The effort can be worth it, as there are plenty of benefits to being bilingual. It can help boost empathy, reading skills and the ability to multitask, to name just a few.  And then there are the more personal reasons a celebrity parent may want their kids to master another language. Eva Mendes, for example, teaches her kids Spanish as a way to maintain a link to her family’s Cuban roots, while Camila Alves and Matthew McConaughey make sure their three children can speak Portuguese so they’re able to communicate with her family in Brazil.  No matter what language their children are learning—or how they’re going about teaching it—we love seeing the way celebrity parents are broadening their kids’ horizons. Check out the famous moms and dads who are raising bilingual kids below. Eva Longoria Image Credit: Elizabeth Goodenough/Everett Collection Eva Longoria previously told Parents in 2019 that her son, Santiago, was learning Spanish and Engilsh.  Alejandra Gere & Richard Gere Image Credit: Kristin Callahan/Everett Collection Richard Gere revealed in 2025 that his and Alejandra Gere’s sons are speaking both Spanish and English Amal Clooney & George Clooney Image Credit: Nina Westervelt for Variety George Clooney admitted in 2022 that he and his wife Amal made a “terrible mistake” by having twins Ella and Alexander learn a second language. “We taught them Italian,” George said on an appearance on CBS Mornings. But we don’t speak Italian. So, we’ve armed them with a language that they can harm us with, and we don’t really know what they’re saying.” Heidi Klum Image Credit: Nina Westervelt for Variety Heidi Klum’s kids Leni, Johan, Henry, and Lou — who she shares with ex husband Seal — all speak German. Teaching them is something she feels strongly about. “They’re bilingual,” the model said. “You owe that to your children if you have the ability to speak another language.” Zoe Saldaña Image Credit: Alberto Rodriguez for Variety Zoe Saldaña’s three kids — Cy, Bowie, and Zen, who she shares with husband Marco Perego — are trilingual and confidently speak English, Italian, and Spanish. “They understand all three languages, and they also choose who they speak the languages with,” the actress told People. “So with their Italian grandparents they will speak in Italian, with their [Spanish-speaking] grandparents they speak in Spanish, and with Mama and Papa they will speak back in English — but they understand in any language we speak to them.” Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Image Credit: Gregorio T. Binuya/Everett Collection Brangelina may be no more, but Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s combined efforts to teach their children multiple languages are still going strong. “None of my kids want to be actors, thank God,” Jolie said while hosting a BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour June 2016 segment. “They’re interested in being musicians. And they are all learning different languages.” Jolie revealed that their six children speak seven languages among them. “All the kids are learning different languages,” she said. “I asked them what languages they wanted to learn, and Shi is learning Khmai, which is the Cambodian language, Pax is focusing on Vietnamese, Mad has taken to German and Russian, Z is speaking French, Vivienne really wanted to learn Arabic, and Knox is learning sign language.” Chris Hemsworth & Elsa Pataky Image Credit: Jason Mendez/Everett Collection Chris Hemsworth is supportive of his wife, Spanish actress and model Elsa Pataky, teaching their children to be fluent in Spanish. The couple share daughter India and sons Tristan and Sasha. “Yeah, they’re fluent in Spanish,” Hemsworth said during an April 2018 Ellen interview. While the actor admits he can only speak “one sentence” of his wife’s native language, he says his children fluent. “When I hear the Spanish directed at me, it’s usually unfortunate, controversial, aggressive situations,” he said. “So I’m just thinking, ‘What is she saying right now?’ and, ‘What’s my comeback to this?’ When we’re fighting, basically, which is never! If she gets angry enough, she’ll drop the English façade.” Eva Mendes & Ryan Gosling Image Credit: Elizabeth Goodenough/Everett Collection Eva Mendes and husband Ryan Gosling have gotten candid about the challenges that come with raising their daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, bilingual. “I’m Cuban
so yeah, we’re trying to teach the kids Spanish, and it’s harder than I thought,” Mendes said in a May 2019 interview on The Talk. “Because I speak Spanglish and that’s what they’re picking up. So it’s adorable, but it’s technically not a language. It’s Spanglish.” Mendes has also opened up about her efforts to immerse her children in Cuban culture. “We’re constantly playing Cuban music,” Mendes said in an August 2016 Vanity Fair interview. “I speak to them in Spanish, and my mom speaks to Esmeralda in Spanish. Well, now she speaks to both of them in Spanish. Any time I have an opportunity to introduce her or them
to my culture, whether it’s through music, or through food, I do.” Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves Image Credit: Priscilla Grant/Everett Collection Matthew McConaughey’s wife, Camila Alves, is from Brazil, so naturally the famous couple are raising their children to speak her native language, Portuguese. “The kids are taking Portuguese classes for the last week,” right before their family headed to Brazil to visit Alves’ relatives, McConaughey said in a December 2016 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “They already know a lot of Portuguese, but they’re taking Portuguese classes five hours a day for the last week in preperation for going on this trip.” Ricky Martin & Jwan Yosef Image Credit: JA/Everett Collection Ricky Martin is very open about life with soon-to-be ex-husband Jwan Yosef and their four children: twins Valentino and Matteo (b. 2013), Lucia (b. 2018), and Renn (b. 2019). The singer credits them for helping him to come out, and one reason he says he talks about them so often is to help “normalize” families like his. One particularly unique aspect of life in their household? Multiple languages are spoken.  In a September 2013 Ellen interview, Martin said he and Yosef speak Spanish and English in the house. And Valentino and Matto go to a French school, meaning the older boys can speak Spanish, English and French. “That’s the beautiful thing about New York,” Martin said of the city where the family has a home. “It’s such a diverse city, culturally speaking, and you have the opportunity to bring your kids to this school that goes by the French system,” Martin said. “I want them to be exposed more.” Shakira & Gerard PiquĂ© Image Credit: Dee Cercone/Everett Collection Shakira and her ex Gerard PiquĂ©, share children Milan and Sasha. The Colombian singer launched a bilingual parenting app called Grow, in partnership with Fisher-Price, back in 2016. While promoting the app, Shakira offered some insight into her own experience raising bilingual children. “It helps if they are able to associate a person with a language at this early stage, to minimize language confusion,” Shakrai told Popsugar in March 2016. “Their father, for example, always speaks to them in Catalan. I try to speak to them in mostly English, but if I switch, I try to not mix two languages in one sentence.” Rosamund Pike & Robie Uniake Image Credit: Gregorio T. Binuya/Everett Collection Rosamund Pike and husband Robie Uniake share sons Solo and Atom. In a February 2021 interview on The Graham Norton Show, Pike revealed that their children speak Mandarin — and that it was mainly her husband’s idea. “I’ve got my kids homeschooling me,” Pike said. “Because my kids speak Mandarin, and I don’t. They grew up bilingual, really, because my partner thought he was going to have more kids, because he had had four already, and he thought it might be exciting for him to talk to them in a language that we don’t already know,” Pike said. “So he taught himself Chinese from the ground-up.” During the Covid-19 pandemic, she finally learned the language herself. “He’s basically talking to them in a language I don’t understand so I thought maybe lockdown was a good opportunity for me to catch up,” she said. Salma Hayek & François-Henri Pinault Image Credit: Jason Smith/Everett Collection Actress Salma Hayek and her husband, François-Henri Pinault, share an only child, Valentina. At just 2 years old, the famous couple’s daughter was already trilingual. “She speaks three languages,” Hayek told People Moms & Babies in April 2010. “She’s speaking fluently
English, Spanish, and French,” Pinault added. “She can have a conversation.” At the time, Hayek was also learning multiple languages alongside her tot. “It’s amazing how fast it comes,” Pinault continued. “She’s teaching French to her mother.” Source link

Halsey
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Selena Gomez
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tessa Brooks (the competition shook)
Tumblr media
Heidi Klum
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Bem melhor Heidi, bem melhor.
Billie Eilish
Tumblr media
Eu e a minha péssima habilidade no paint conseguimos fazer melhor. Triste.
