i remember when i first saw the march 7th = idrila theory, leading to my yanqing = yaoshi theory. thought process goes that the aeons looked differently as humans, so maybe they’re pieces of the aeons/what the aeons were before they became aeons, kept on ice by the remembrance, who just so happened to wake up without memory of who they were prior

while I expected lots of cute moments with bb-8 and pew-pew adventures in Poe Dameron: Flight Log (which, don’t get me wrong, I definitely did get and was very happy about!!) along with lots of cool ship specs and tech details—

what I wasn’t expecting (a surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one) was several instances of incredibly heartfelt, evocative, and sweet introspections from Poe on his family, upbringing, philosophy / ethics, the resistance, and love 🥺 so many sweet characterization tidbits in this book, I really enjoyed reading it ♡

if you’re interested in reading it as well, I borrowed it (for free!) on internet archive which I highly highly recommend, it was such a fun read and it’s very easy & user-friendly to borrow books from them!

various 'team names' for pairs of the isat characters because im thinking about the beauty alliance and the opposite-ends-of-the-age-spectrum alliance and i want. to have fun.

sif and isa: the strong wit alliance (they both think theyre very funny. theyre right.)

sif and mira: the sniptrovert alliance (not a super good pun, but it got a snort out of mira!)

sif and bonnie: the fast food alliance! (does fast food exist in the isat-verse? eh.)

sif and odile: the travelers alliance (sif kept trying to make a pun name, but odile wouldnt have it)

isa and bonnie: the opposite-height alliance (mira said it as a joke after the name of bonnie and odiles team up happened and it stuck.)

isa and odile: the brain and brawn alliance (so simple that no one was willing to fight them on it)

mira and bonnie: mira suggests the "bonnibelle alliance" because it combines their names and its cute! bonnie sticks out their tongue and proposes the "snacks alliance" because theyre a chef and miras named after a fruit.

mira and odile: bookclub :3 (theyre not an alliance. theyre just reading :3)

can't believe this hasn't been said before but unhinged!scarlett and unhinged!dave would be an iconic duo. shame pi didn't get a second season bc these two in an alliance would basically succeed in destroying the island, they'd wipe everyone out

the fact that they're both versions of the nerd character so they're already smart in their own ways, the fact that they have absolutely zero fucks to give anymore, their individual darker sides have come out (whether it was hidden consciously (scarlett) or unconsciously (dave)), and they've each attempted to kill/seriously injure one or more contestant(s) (and mess up the island in the process) just to reach their end goal. imagine if these two found a common goal somehow, literally nothing could get in their paths (except possibly each other)
